Cody pulled into the gas station. He wouldn't have heard the radio report if it hadn't been playing at the gas station. He looked at Ariadne in a way that said,'we have to get as far as possible, as fast as possible'. He looked around to see if anyone was at the gas station.

Alan blushed slightly when he said he would look cute as a girl. He looked at the radio for a moment until Kyrsten yelled "Alan!" and he quickly looked back at the road. It was clear he had a not entirely different way of thinking but suddenly said "Wait Kyrsten is AB+ I'm AB+, oh no." he fully expected Gordon to be AB+ and said "It must be a biological weapon that won't target AB blood type, thats 3% of the population. Maybe 9 million immune people in the whole nation is thinning a little too much." he looks around and said "No stops till Carson, and then we face down that city."

Ariadne listened the radio report playing at the gas station with her mouth wide open. She got off the motorcycle and looked at Cody, "Where are we going to go? It's all over the U'S. I'm scared, Cody. It could turn any of us at any minute" She said, trying to stay calm, though it was clearly not working by her pacing back and forth.
Some old scraggly bearded dude came up to them and said, "You lookin' for some gas? It's been goin' quickly now that we are in an apocalypse". He chuckled slightly when he finished speaking.

Gordon jumped slightly when Kyrsten yelled Alan, clearly expecting them to crash or something. "Unless it just hasn't got here yet" He said, shrugging. "I guess we will find out" He said. Suddenly he made a dumb look and said, "Uh, dude, I like totally don't know my blood type". "I'm perfectly fine with only 9 million" He said, laughing, "That's 100's of millions of zombies to brawl with!" He added. "Also, some AB blood types may of been killed in the bombs" He noted.

"It's going to be OK," Cody said, sounding more convinced then he felt. "They'll find a cure for it before it gets to bad." He swallowed. The chanced of that were slim. He put his arm aroudn her then looked at the old dude. "Yes, we're looking for gas. I also want a gas canaster," He said.

Alan looked at him "Don't know your blood type, eh." he quickly pulled out his revolver and handed it to Kyrsten "Keep a gun trained on his head, just in case." she points the gun at him and said "Don't worry, were sure your safe, but you understand, we couldn't have a pretty thing like you attack us." Alan nodded black at him "Yea, it is a rough estimate, very rough." he leans over to turn off the radio.

"I hope so...." Ariadne said, sighing. She smiled at him when he put his arm around her. She also couldn't help but laugh slightly, because he was over a foot taller then her, so he had to like lean down to do that.
"You guys would make an adorable couple" The scraggly bearded dude said. "Here you go" He said, reaching down to pick up a gas canister, "Take it while you can" He handed it to him. It didn't even seem like he cared that they payed.
Ariadne blushed slightly at what the guy said, just because it was a weird comment. She gave Cody a couple of uncomfortable glances when he said that comment.

"Geez! Point it at me when I'm changed!" Gordon shouted, "It's not going to be here for a long time, your arm might get tired". He just shook his had back and forth slowly.

Kyrsten nodded slightly and put the gun and the dashboard "Yea, I might get tired, I guess I will wait until you turn." she looked at Alan and said "Not that I would want to get brains all over your pretty car." she leaned back in her seat and asked Gordon "So, do you think of protecting this car for 30 mins? Possible?"

"You need to grow a few inches, Ariadne," Cody said. He had it more where he had his hand on the shoulder that was futher away from him thin him actualy having his arm around her. When the guy made the comment, he took his hand off her shoulder, not really paying attention to the fact she might have liked it, and took the can. He looked slightly unsure," For...For free?" He asked.

"Tell me about it" Ariadne said jokingly. "Sadly I have stopped growing" She added. She laughed at Cody's response to the comment. Her eyes widened when he acted as if it was free.
"Yes, take the gas you need for free plus the full gas canister for free. I am going to be hated for this, but I am giving free gas out to anyone who needs it" The dude said, giving them a kind old man smile. "Be careful you two. I bet together you can last a long time out in this hellhole of a world" He said with a laugh.

Gordon laughed at her saying the thing about brains all over Alan's pretty car. "Huh?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, "I'm not sure what you mean".

"Good thing I've stopped growing. I don't need to be any taller," Cody said, smiling. He looked really greatfull to the old man,"Thank you, so much." He didn't have much money on him. "What about you? Shouldn't you be trying to get safe, too?" He asked, walking over to fill up the gas canister.

Alan looked back at Gordon "Blowing your brains out would cause an unpleasant effect on my car's leather seats." he smiled back and said "I hope it dosen't come to that though." he turned back to the road and saw a crashed truck and said "Oh wow, this this is for real."

"No, you really don't need to be any taller" Ariadne joked. "Yes, thank you a lot" She said with a smile to him. She had taken off her helmet, even though it was never mentioned, but now she put it back on and listened to what they said, and watched Cody fill up the gas canister.
"Nah" The dude said, waving his hand in the air. "I'm an old man, I've lived a good life. There's no need to run anymore. I knew this day would come at some point in some form. I'm going to die any day now anyway" He said suprisingly calmly.
Ariadne just frowned at his story. This man deserved to live, but he clearly didn't care if he died, and she wouldn't force him to leave if he didn't want to.

Gordon laughed at what he said, "You really do like leather, don't you? Even your car has leather. So is your car sexy then too?". "Me too" He said sternly. "People tend to drive stupider when there are reasons to panick, so he probably drove to fast" He said in response to the crashed truck, clearly not seeming to really care.

Alan looked at him and laughed "Yes I really do like leather." he laughed really hard when he asked if his car is sexy and he said "No, its easier to clean. That's why it is in my car, no other reason." Kyrsten looked at the crash and said "Atomic bombs are no reason to drive nuts." Alan looked back at Gordon and asked "Know how to use that gun in your pants?" he then blushed and added "The one that shoots bullets that is." and winks at him.

"That makes sense dude" Gordon said in response to his explanation of why his car had leather in it. "Apparently to some people it is" He said to Kyrsten. He chuckled at what Alan said, "I wouldn't of thought of that if you didn't say that you know". "Yes, I do. I've gone shooting with my dad multiple times" He said, winking back at him.

"You sound like someone straight out of a movie," Cody said to the old guy as he started filling up his bike. When that was done, he said,"Thank you so much for your help." Then got on the bike, found a way to attach the canaster to it, then waited for Ariadne to get on.
