Lily just made a grossed out face at both of them mentioning beer and wine, just because it was alcoholic. "Beer, wine, whiskey, brandy, and all of those sort of drinks are icky" She commented. It was a little strange for her to make that comment, since she had only ever had a sip of beer that her parents let her try. So it's not like she knew those were all icky for a fact, it just seemed like since it had alcohol in it, to her they were all gross. Which probably could be true, to an extent. Especially if you flat-out hated alcohol just because it was alcohol. She frowned at what he said, then perked up a bit at the least part he said. "Really? That would be cool" She said quietly, but she smiled at him, and it didn't look forced either. She twitched at what he said, but just nodded at what he said and moved on. When he said something about maybe he wanted to force himself on her, she twitched again, more so this time, and clutched her crowbar tighter. No matter how much she didn't want to, if she was forced to, she would beat the shit out of either of them if they tried anything. Hopefully it will just never come to that.
She just let them chat about why they were pointing guns at each other, and about protecting her, finding no reason to join in at the moment. She found no reason to add anything to the conversation, and if she didn't say anything, maybe they would stop talking about that eventually. So she just listened, or pretended that she was actually listening to them.
Lily seemed to think that he was a little nuts. She hadn't seen anything that she would think resembled a demon or a ghost yet, so he just seemed like this kind of crazy, overly paranoid guy or something. Didn't mean he wasn't a good guy, she just at the moment thought he seemed a little crazy. She let out a sigh at what Alan said. "Alan" She said in a way to get his attention, "I have seen horrible monsters, I've beat the shit out of a monster to save my own life, seen people ripped apart, and other terrible things. I think I can hear what you would want to say" She said to him. She nodded in agreement to what Dean said, then raised an eyebrow at Alan, wondering why he spent so much time in a bunker. "Alan, don't worry about it. Speak your mind. Well, language-wise" She said, not sure if she really wanted to know his true thoughts that might be going through his head. As far as she knew he could secretly have a crush on her, and that's why he feels so protective of her. Or he could just be the true creep here, you could never know what people were actually thinking about in their minds. At that Dean said next, she gave Dean a "What the heck?" look, and said, "I seriously hope that you aren't a creepy pervert", and then gestured to herself as if to show who she was referring to that she was hoping he wasn't a creepy pervert about. To her, as far as she knew, he could be thinking of her as a 'real chick', even if he was twice her age. She shuddered, and just decided to stop thinking about that subject. She just pretty much frowned at both of their stories, and couldn't really think of anything to say. Though, noticing the fact that Dean looked like he was on the verge of crying in the dim light, she felt like just giving him a hug, but again, wasn't sure she could trust him. She really lost her trust of people during this, which pretty much upset her more.
Lily frowned when he handed her a silver knife, and hesitated taking it for only about a second. She now held the crowbar in one hand, and the silver knife in the other. "I'm scared" She muttered quietly, and choked back a sob. She clutched both the crowbar and the knife tightly, more out of fear then anything. It's not that she was a complete coward, she wasn't, but she definitely wasn't the bravest person by far. When she was pulled to her feet gently by Dean, she just let herself be pulled up because she figured there was a logical reason behind it. She just nodded to what he said, and was about to follow him when Alan showed up. When she realized Alan had pretty much used his riot shield to protect her, she gave him a quick smile. "Thanks" She said to him, and then started to follow Dean like he said, towards a back room in the Starbucks.
Meantime, outside the aliens were now dropping some of their people onto the ground for their 'mission'. The mission wasn't really to disturb the people right now, unless forced to. They would continue to let their 'creations' and whatever other shit they released take care of the people. They were just here to make things worse for the people, by cutting the power. Sure, they had the easy capability of just blowing the crap out of the power stations, but they didn't want to pollute the Earth with various crap from power plants. Some power plants were already malfunctioning, just because people weren't watching them as much anyway. So the aliens were just here to kill the power from inside the places, to make things even darker for the people and more likely for them to be killed in various ways. So even though they didn't have the plans to just kill the people themselves, they still weren't good. At this point, anyone could probably figure out this was a sort of colonization mission by this race.

"Eh, out of all the alcoholic drinks I've tried, and believe me, I've tried a lot, wine is probably my least favorite. I still like it on occasion, though," Dean said, thinking it was kind of weird how they started talking about wine all of a sudden. How a conversation could change...And while they were still pointing guns at each other, too. He smiled slightly when Alan said that he would send Lily and her parents to a resort when this was all over. He looked over at Alan when he said that if they find someone like that, they get one warning, then said,"They won't get even one warning from me," In a kind of cold way. He made a face when Alan mentioned forcing himself on her. "Dude, that's just..." He seemed so grossed out by that possibility that he didn't even know what to say.
Dean just kind of nodded to most of what Alan said. "To bad we didn't get here sooner, to protect that girl outside," He said with disgust in his voice. He then sighed and said,"I wonder how many of these people were good people who just lost it. They lose their family, their friends, and they have to survive this hellhole. I agree, I can understand why they would go crazy. Let's hope we manage to hold on to our sanity. God knows I've been called crazy enough, before this even started," He said the last part with a slight chuckle.
Dean nodded,"Yep. That's me. I guess, no matter how many times people called me crazy for it, I wasn't completely wrong, was I? I mean. I've spent most of my life chasing down the supernatural, though I never actually found anything 'till all this shit started. Now, what I've learned over years of being buried in books about lore and supernatural stuff has come in handy. I mean, I've seen my fair share of ghosts. I even destroyed one. Everything I've learned so far has been correct. Salt seems to repel ghosts, salting and burning the bodies destroys them, stuff like that. It's a long story, but I know a lot of stuff that I now wish didn't need to be used," He then blinked, kind of realizing that he was kind of rambling. He seemed kind of confused about the next thing Alan said, but kind of didn't pay much mind. "Yeah...I was just investigating some strange murders around here when this started." Dean was pretty sure that a 13 year old girl was fine to cuss around, I mean, it wasn't like she was some helpless little 5 year old girl, she was a teenager. "Hey, you're both kids to me," Dean said jokingly. He was, after all, 10 years older then Alan. Not that either of them knew that exactly. He looked at Alan with one eyebrow raised when he flipped his hair. "No, man, you don't have the curves," The way he said it was kind of cheesy, and was probably a good hint that he was the type that was in to girls. He looked at Lily, "I don't date teenage girls, don't worry," He said in a lighthearted way.
He frowned when Lily said she was scared. "Don't worry," He said gently,"I'll keep you safe," He then looked at Alan,"I'll keep you both safe, if I have to," He carefully headed into a back room when he was sure that Alan and Lily were following. "Watch your back," He said quietly. He then found a good room that had one window and one door. He let them go in first, assuming they actually did, then followed them in, closing the door behind him. He then took his backpack off and pulled a big thing of salt out of it, pouring it at the base of the door and in the windowsill. "We should lay low until they're gone. We'll wait it out here," He said quietly as he sat down against a wall.

Alan raised an eyebrow and said "You must be poor, because I assure you, when you share a bottle of 15,000£ with the Sulṭān of Brunei it would taste like nothing you have tried." he apparently addressed them both with that. He smirked at Lily and said "Of course, that is if my 609 million is worth anything when this is over." he nodded to Dean and said "If they do anything to her I will blow their brains out." he kind of shook his head, Dean kind of proved that he wasn't that kind of person, but he still didn't trust him very much. He continued to flex his hand on his pistol, very nervously.
He sighed and choked up slightly saying "I wish so too, it was so gruesome, I hope she finds peace in the life after this, and joy everlasting." he mostly just nodded to what Dean said and mostly just sighed. He was frightened for his sanity, if he learned he lost everyone he was scared he might go crazy. He raised an eyebrow at the last thing and said "I have been called crazy before, especially when I started my own nation, before this a whole 4 countries respected me as the leader of the Hegemony of Atlantica." he chuckled slightly at himself.
His jaw kind of fell open at the long winded 'speech' about his knowledge and said "That's it, you are officially part of my government." in a joking way. He kind of also shrugged and said "Well my knowledge of command economics so far haven't helped. Damn, why couldn't the Volus invade us instead, that would be so much better." he made a mass effect reference. He frowned at Lilly and said "I am so so sorry that you have to go through this when your so young. I wish I could spare you this, but I still won't use offensive language around such a young girl." he raised an eyebrow at Dean and said "Hey I am worth more than you could make in a lifetime, and North Korea recognises me as a leader of a nation. I'm not a kid." he chuckled slightly and said "Ok ok fine, I guess wouldn't look good to you then." and kept one hand on his hip.
Alan smiled slightly and said "Thank you Dean, that means a lot to me." in a girly and grateful way, showing that it was how he normally sounded. He watched him salt the room and slowly took off his night vision goggles and showed pretty brown eyes. He sat against the wall and turned off his goggles while setting them next to him. He then asked in a shaky way "Maybe we could surrender, I mean if we find any like leaders."

Lily muttered to herself again about all alcohol tasting gross, no matter what it was, even if she had only tried a sip of 1 kind of alcoholic drink. To her it seemed like just because one drink sucked, that anything with alcohol in it probably sucked. "Geez, my families car isn't even worth that much" She said with a sigh. She wasn't rich, but her family wasn't really poor either. They were well-off, just not doing amazingly well. Which was probably obvious by the fact they lacked a car worth more then 15,000 dollars, which 15,000 was cheap for a newly-bought car. Their car they had bought used, but of course it was left at home somewhere now, and didn't serve a whole lot of use anyway. It was already low on gas before the attack, and everyone was probably brawling over gas like they seemed to like to do. "Damn, I want some of that 609 million" She muttered to herself quietly. She was honestly surprised by both of their responses to what they'd do to people if they tried to attack her and kill her, and smiled slightly, even if it was a sad thing to be smiling at. It just felt nice to know they had her back. She was also happy about Dean's response to the idea of forcing himself on her. Unless he was a great liar, his response was believable.
Lily just frowned at what they said, shaking her head slightly. She was still having a hard time believing everything that was happening, that the world had gone so much down the shit hole so quickly. At this point she felt pretty negative about the whole thing, and felt like there was probably no way the rest of the population could possibly fight off everything that was created on their planet. Especially with the fact that the aliens could probably so easily attack themselves if everything they released were wiped out, and she seriously doubted that the aliens would be able to be defeated. While she was pondering this, she pretty much ended up draining out the rest of their conversation by accident, but didn't really care all that much.
"Damn Dean, that's pretty impressive" Lily said with a lighthearted chuckle, and a bit of a grin. "Like you said though, sadly it needs to be used. I haven't seen any ghosts though. I did swear I saw a zombie once....man, this is so screwed up" She said, quickly going back to frowning and sighing. She scratched her head for a bit at what Alan said, then started to beat on it gently while saying over and over again, "Volus, Volus, why do I know that?". Then it hit her. "Oh! Mass Effect" She said, smiling at his reference. Clearly she was a bit of a game geek, even with games she probably shouldn't play at 13. At what Alan said next, she just looked at the ground and frowned, but couldn't think of anything to say in response to him. "I am a kid, I won't deny that. Sadly, I have seen way more then a kid should see" She said quietly, sighing again. Again, she raised an eyebrow at him. Then, she stared at him for a bit, blinking at him in a way that showed she thought he was kinda weird. After a bit, she shook her head quickly. She never really understood why people were obsessed with the opposite gender. Sure, she had hit the age that she found people attractive. But she never really got the whole obsession thing. And she never really found the absolute need to date someone. And by how Dean acted, he seemed like someone who'd date someone for like, a day. She understood that even less, but kept those thoughts to herself. "Good" She said kind of quickly and bluntly, apparently taking it a little more seriously then him.
Lily gave Dean a smile at what he said, but it looked like one of those sad smiles you see people do, where clearly their happiness was just quick and brief. "Trust me, I know to watch my back" She said in a whisper, to not alert anyone. There was no hesitation for her to get in the room, and she had quickly gone into the room. At this point it was too dark for her to notice anything really, so she didn't notice Alan's pretty brown eyes. She probably wouldn't of noticed anyway. At what was said, she just nodded. Except to the surrendering part. Slowly as if to not trip over anything, she headed to a corner of the room and sat down in it, practically disappearing in the darkness. Nothing on her really made her visible at all. It's not like there was light to reflect off of really anything. The one window in the room was pretty useless for light anyway. And she had a dull crowbar, so even if there was light, there was pretty much nothing on her that any light could possibly reflect off of. "I'd rather die then surrender to these guys" She said rather dully, but it was by far the truth. She didn't want to be turned into some slave for these guys or something.
Again, she put her hand on her injured arm, because it was hurting again. She made wincing sounds again, but still tried to keep the fact she was injured to herself. She didn't want to worry them, or something. So she just held her hand on her arm, but didn't openly mention the fact she was injured. Though, she probably should, because there was the likely chance that it could get infected. She hadn't done a whole lot to try to disinfect it.

"I'm not poor," Dean said,"I just have a different opinion then you." Truth was, he wasn't poor, but if he was a completely honest guy, he would be poor. He figured that they didn't need to know how he managed to pay for all the motels and food and such when he did nothing to make money. He figured they would probably hate him for it. "Wine just isn't my kind of thing." He shrugged,"I'll blow their brains out if they even make a hint that they're going to do anything to her," He didn't sound like he was trying to sound like he would be better at protecting her, more like he wanted to show how dead serious he was. His hand twitched slightly when Alan flexed his hand again.
Dean frowned slightly and sighed. He hoped that the girl went to a better place, too, but he didn't believe in heaven. A lot of people would probably think that he had a twisted view on religion. He believed in hell, and Demons, but not in heaven and angels. Dean was honestly worried about his own sanity, but he knew that as long as he had people to protect, he would hold on. As long as there was a chance that his brother was alive. He kind of just stared at Alan when he said he started his own nation. "I was called crazy for believing in ghosts."
He almost snorted at Alan's response to what he said, but his mind was elsewhere. "You know...I think..." He sighed and shook his head,"You know that girl you were talking about? I think we should salt and burn her body. From what I know, violent spirits are born from people who suffered violent deaths," He frowned,"There have been a lot of violent deaths lately." He looked at Lily,"Did you kill the zombie? I wonder if they can be killed like in the games and movies, or if it's like how I read." He just kind of blinked at what was said about Volus, and Mass Effect. He wondered if Lily was at all annoyed at Alan treating her like she was 5. At her age he would have been pissed at someone acting like he was a helpless little kid. He understood wanting to be protected, but being fine with someone acting like you were 5 or so, he would have thrown a fit. Dean shrugged,"Worth doesn't make you older, man," He said in a kind of joking way. "I'd say wisdom has a better chance of making you less of a kid then worth or wealth. I mean, a rich, spoiled 7 year old has a lot of money, but they're still a kid, and they tend to act like it. But wisdom. You can be wise beyond your age, and thus you tend to act older," He was clearly not calling Alan rich and spoiled, but just trying to make a point. He wasn't even sure if Alan would think it was a good point, but he thought so. He noticed how serious Lily seemed to be taking the subject of him being a pervert, so he decided to drop the subject and try to remember to keep his mouth shut when it came to hot girls. He doubted it would work, though.
Dean shrugged,"I figure I minus well protect the sane people left, before this world is damned," He said to Alan when he thanked him for saying he would protect them. He didn't notice Alan's eyes, because they just looked black, even though Dean was well adjusted to the dark. If anyone could see Dean's eyes, they would see that they were kind of a deep forest green, with a bit of brown mixed in around his pupil. Not that anyone would notice, or that it mattered in any way. "I don't think they'd want us alive for any good reason. They pretty much brought on the apocalypse, so the only reason I can think of that they would want us alive, is so that they could torture us, dissect us, figure out our weaknesses. Or for us to be their slaves. I'd rather die then have either of those happen."
He didn't notice Lily acting hurt and just kept watch. His gaze kept moving back and forth between the window and the door.

Alan chuckled at Dean and said "Well compared to me you are poor, and have very bad tastes." he seemed to be totally joking about him having bad tastes. He looked at Lily and said "Well I think my family has a lot more money than you." he kinda half smiled half sighed at Lily and said "You can have some after this, I will welcome you to my island fortress for some sun and swimming. Atlantica is an amazing island, I assure you that you won't regret coming, hey maybe if we get a ship or something we can go there before this is over." he would have invited Dean, but he didn't trust him yet. He raised an eyebrow at Dean and said "That is a little extreme."
Alan looked at Dean like he was crazy and kind of snapped "There is nothing like spirits happening here, technology, it is just all technology. We don't need to salt and burn anyone." he was clearly just scared and stressed, though did believe that it was just fancy tech. He looked at Lily and shook his head and commented "Bet they are more like Husks in Mass Effect then like spirit zombies." he kind of smirked at Lily getting his reference and asked "What is a young girl like you playing a game like that?" he frowned at the next thing she said and compassionatly said "Lily, I'm so so sorry this had to happen to you, I really am. I still can't curse in front of a kid, no offence, it is just a thing about me, and I'm sorry." he seemed quite apologetic even for things that wasn't his fault. He looked at Dean and said "Is it too much to ask for both? I have wealth and I'm smart, so it isn't too much to ask for both." he was apparently one of those people who thought smart=wise though they were pretty different. He kind of raised an eyebrow at Lily and Dean, but didn't really say anything.
Alan smiled slightly at Dean and again said "Thank you very much, it means a lot to have such a nice strong man protecting me." he realised that sounded like he was some cheesy girl, but it was how he felt. He frowned at what the others said, and said "I think that they could use cooperative humans to tell them about our culture, how to use their slaves, for mating." he said mating quietly, he was embarrassed about his first thoughts when he realised aliens invaded. He shook his head slightly and said "Enslavement is preferable to extinction, humanity needs to survive."
He actually heard Lily and quickly rushed over to her. He looked at her arm and said "Oh god, poor girl, you should have said something." he then looked around and got some spices and started mixing them then put one hand over her mouth and said "This is going to hurt, and I'm so sorry." he then poured the mix into her wound likely causing an extreme burning sensation for this poor girl.

Lily listened to what was said, then turned to Alan when he spoke to her. "You think?" She half-joked, half said seriously. "My families not doing terrible money-wise, if moneys even useful now. But we aren't doing great either. Your car is probably more then our net worth" She said with a slight grin. She smiled at him again. "That would be nice. A nice vacation after this is over" She said, and lowered her voice almost too quiet to hear, and continued, "If it ever ends". She shook her head and said, "Hopefully it will still be intact. Depending what kind of boat we are using, it may be a waste of gas right now". She just twitched at what Dean said about protecting her. These guys really were a little over protective from the sounds of it, but she said nothing for the time being.
Lily listened to both Dean and Alan, and let out a sigh. Dean did sound kind of crazy, but the world was also kind of crazy, so at this point Dean was probably one of the sanest people or things out here. But what Alan said seemed wrong too to her, and she decided to say something. "Honestly, I don't know what to believe anymore. But I seriously doubt it's just technology, Alan. I mean, the freaking dead are coming back alive. Sure, most of the stuff I've seen just looks like aliens out of video games, movies, and so on. But the undead being alive doesn't really seem like something technology would do. I don't know" She said, putting her arms in the air and letting out a sigh. It just seemed like she was stressed and tired, and it was making her slightly angry. "If you are going to burn the body, please don't have me around. I don't really want to watch someone burn right now, or smell freshly burning flesh" She commented, making a face just at the mention of that idea. "I didn't kill it. Just saw it" She said quietly. "Based on some of the things I have seen, I would honestly not be surprised at all if we saw something that looked a lot like a Husk. I mean, I swear I saw a Necromorph from Dead Space out there once" She said, shaking her head and letting out another sigh. "My parents aren't the censoring type when it comes to video games, movies, or shows really. They are very open on what I can play or watch. So I've played a lot of pretty violent games and watched some pretty violent shows and movies for my age, even if some of them can be rather awkward at times" She said quietly, seeming to get slightly embarrassed just talking about awkward moments in shows, movies, and games. She smiled, then frowned at what he said next. "It's alright. I understand" She said quietly. She just listened to the rest.
Lily of course didn't notice Dean's eyes, but the role player laying Lily gets this feeling that the role player who plays Dean over-analyzed the boy they used for Dean's eyes a little too much. She nodded to what Dean said, and twitched uncomfortably at the idea of that happening. "I would rather die too" She said quietly. She wasn't even the suicidal type. She had never thought of the idea of committing suicide in her life, so it was an uncomfortable feeling to her to say she'd rather die. "Ugh" Was about all she said in response to the mating thing, and made a disgusted face at the very idea of that. "As far as we know they could like, use us as slaves and food supplies like we do to animals, and breed us for food. Sure, food supplies from us is rather freaking slow. But it's a possibility that they'd want. A disgusting one at that" She said, making another face. "But honestly, if we do it to animals, why not another race or animals do it to us?" She asked seriously. "I'm serious. I'd rather die then be enslaved. Besides, what use is humanity enslaved anyway? All species go extinct some time in the cycle of the world. Even us humans. Maybe this is our time" She said quietly, and dully. It was pretty obvious that she honestly didn't like that idea, of the human race entirely going extinct. But to her it was honestly a possibility that might not be avoided.
Lily looked at Alan when he rushed over, which he did surprisingly well for how dark it was in here. When he got to her, she carefully pulled back her sleeve of her long-sleeve shirt and sweatshirt to show him the claw marks on her arm, wincing as she did so. If you could tell in this dark room, they looked rather deep too. Nothing extremely deep to the bone or anything, but deep. At the mention of the fact she should of said something, she just kept her mouth shut. It seemed like she just didn't want to worry them about it, even though the chances of it getting infected were high, and probably higher then ever now too. And you never know what kinds of infections or poisons the thing that attacked her might carry. As soon as he covered her mouth, she knew what was likely coming up. Meaning something likely very painful. She wasn't even worried that he might be trying to hurt her on purpose, and just clenched her teeth to be ready for the burning sensation. As the spices hit her deep scratch wounds, she let out a muffled sound of pain through Alan's hand, and she clenched her eyes shut from the massive burning sensation she felt from that. But she knew there was likely a really good reason for it, and just fought her way through it. She was actually quite a tough girl after all. She was prone to some serious injuries in her life, and always seemed to take it like a 'champ'.
There was the sounds of strange feet outside the door of everyone's hiding spot, and Lily forced herself as well as she could to pretend her wound didn't feel like it was still on fire. Due to the burning sensation too, it had made her eyes quite watery. She wasn't crying really, it was just one of those extreme pains that made your eyes water from it. So if light shone ever so slightly off of her eyes, it might make her more obvious. The sounds of the feet sounded like they stopped right outside the door, and there was the sounds of something powering up and strange sounds coming from right on the other side of the door. Alan probably could feel Lily trembling if he was close enough to her. No matter how brave she was, or anyone was for that matter, nothing could prepare you for braving these strange alien creatures. Lily had always been told that she was brave, but if you knew that, you would never be able to guess that that was true if you saw her at this very moment. She just seemed like a poor innocent little girl who unfortunately got stuck in a really shitty world, and it officially broke her of her bravery, or most of it.

Dean nodded, then said,”I guess a lot of people would probably consider me poor. But I have enough money to get by, and that's enough for me.” He smiled slightly at Alan's joke, but other then that, didn't really have much of a response. When Alan said that what he said was a little extreme, he shrugged. “World like this, you have to be extreme,” He said, seeming rather cool about this,”That might be a slight exaggeration, but it won't take much for me to shoot someone that I think is bad.”
He shook his head when Alan looked at him like he was crazy. “Don't look at me like that,” He scoffed,”If it's just tech, then there must be a logical explanation about the things that I've had to fight that could walk through stuff if they wanted to, that only responded to salt, could disappear on will and reappear somewhere else, and died when I burned it's body,” He said, with a kind of surprising amount of venom in his voice. “Oh yeah, and leaving her out there to rot and be eaten by who knows what is so much more respectful,” He said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. When Alan said that they were probably more like husks from Mass Effect, he shook his head,”I have no idea what you're talking about.” He listened to the stuff between Alan and Lily, then said to Alan,”There's a difference between being wise, and being smart,” He said.
He just kind of blinked at Alan thanking him, again. He figured he only needed to reply so many times. He raised an eyebrow at what Alan said next,”I get the feeling that since they seem to want to wipe us out, they couldn't care less about our couture or mating with us,” He said, shaking his head slightly. He was trying not to make a joke that might creep Lily out a bit, but that was kind of who he was. He nodded to what Lily said, then said to Alan,”Go ahead and surrender, just don't involve us.”
Dean was looking out the window when Alan went over to Lily, and didn't notice, until he heard Lily's faint pained noise. Being a little jumpy, he quickly pulled his handgun out, spun around, cocking it as he did, and pointed it at Alan. He quickly realized that Alan meant no harm, and lowered the gun, before freezing when he heard the footsteps outside the door. He put a finger to his lips, though he probably didn't really have to, and pointed his handgun at the door. He still had his sawed-off shotgun in his other hand, but he just kept it pointed at the ground.

Alan looked at Lily and said "Well I don't have a car, so I seriously doubt that. I mean, I own a yacht, a private jet, tanks, artillery, but no car." he smiled at her slightly and said "It will be nice, sandy beaches, palm trees, you know, all the classic vacation things." he frowned slightly and said "Hey, we are going to get through this." he raised an eyebrow, though the motion was lost under his goggles and said "I have a bunker system, I doubt it would have all collapsed, I mean I have been preparing for this sense my family won the loto." he crossed his arms at Dean and said "Well I don't understand how people live like that, no offence. Maybe I have just had too much fancy food and private planes to appreciate that type of thing anymore." He shook his head "Still, we are only human, we don't need to kill someone for that, and I mean like what if they are my age or younger, that is only 3 years."
He looked at Dean and said "It is all tech, it has to be." he shook his head and said "When the British empire first encountered the Zulu tribe in Africa, the Zulu thought firearms were the work of the gods. This is no different, just because we don't understand how it works, does not mean it is supernatural." he looked over at Lilly and said "We just don't understand their tech, I mean the nearest habitable star is 25 light years away, so with the current laws of physics it would take 27.5 years, so either they can carry enough food and supplies to keep their fleet and army fighting for this long, and for years without resupply. That also would mean the last time they got recon on us was 82.5 years ago, so I would say that they have some sort of starship that violates our known laws of physics. Now we estimate that it would take 10x10^24th power times four, so their power centers must produce massive sums of power to get here any faster than that." he took a breath after his speech about tech. He shook his head at Dean and said "It is safer to stay inside, I think if any of these corpses were still alive, they would want us to survive rather than try to give them peace." he glanced at Lily and said "Well that is what you get if you play those kind of games and watch things like that." he glanced at Dean again and said "Not a hell of a lot of difference."
He crossed his arm and looked at Dean saying "Realisticly speaking, if they have this tech, they are culturally very adverse to murder, I imagine that is why we aren't seeing then fighting on the ground. So I'm saying, if we can find actual members of their species we will not be killed off, but instead preserved as specimens of humanity, like as trophies of their conquest. I imagine that some members of their species will some, curiosity like me." he looked over at Lily and said "We are sentient, cows, chickens, other animals are not. We have higher brain functions, and I think the aliens realise this." he nodded to Dean and said " When we see actual members of their species, then I will surrender, don't worry, I wouldn't do anything to put either of you in danger."
When Lily started trembling he put his arms around her and hugged her tightly. He gently pat her hair and whispered "Shhh, it is going to be ok." he was scared as well, but tried not to show it, to be a man about it. He slowly started to shiver from fear as well, more of those abominations could be on their way. He hoped it was aliens, and hoped he was right about them, that they wouldn't hurt them. He pet her head as he pretty much cover her with his body and whispered "If I get killed, don't move, they won't see you."

Lily gave him a look of surprise at all the things he said he had. "Okay then. Your ring or computer is probably worth more then my families car" She said, smiling slightly. "I'm more of a mountain and hiking girl, but I really do think that after all of this, a beach vacation would be the best and most likely choice for me. Just a long relaxation in the sun or jacuzzi for hours.....especially by then it is likely that I will be sore and a nice warm jacuzzi would be good for the muscles...." She said, sighing just thinking about actually being able to relax over, well, living in hell on earth. Literally. "We may get through this, but what if they never stop coming until they get what they came for? The population has already dropped dramatically. It's not like the 3 of us could fight off everything on Earth alone. Sure, there are others, but we are already lucky to be alive as it is" She said, sighing. It was hard for her to be entirely positive in this situation. She really didn't like the idea of maybe being the only 3 left, either (which they weren't), because that meant that she would be a rather large part of....she didn't want to think about it, and just shook her head. She returned the eyebrow raising back at him. "Really? A little paranoid are we?" She asked, but smiled slightly to show she was joking around. She decided to just listen to the last part.
Lily just shook her head back and forth at Alan and Dean 'arguing' about it being tech or supernatural stuff. Honestly, she believed it must be supernatural stuff now. To her there was no other explanation for video game enemies literally coming to life, what sounded like ghosts, and so on. Though, maybe it was slightly tech-related too. Some weird crazy tech that these aliens created. Or maybe they were aliens them self that this race took from other planets to dump onto Earth and rip it a part. She had a hard time figuring out what it could be. She listened to Alan's explanation of what it was, and smiled at him. "Good explanation. It is definitely obvious they have some form of higher tech, and what you said is a good example of that. Which is definitely a little frightening, but oh well..." She muttered. This was not how she expected the human race to end, if it did. She expected global warming or something to wipe people out. "I agree that it is safer inside, but we won't be able to survive inside forever" She said, sighing. Especially since they were in a coffee shop. Sure, coffee shops had food too. But it still wasn't a great place for food. And from what she remembered, a lot of it was already salvaged by other people, who were probably dead by now. She looked confused. "Huh? What, you mean the world ending is what I get for watching those types of things?" She asked, but just seemed to be trying to figure out what he was saying.
"They did send a bunch of dangerous and freaky monsters after us, though. I don't know if they really care to preserve us, since they seemed to of let loose all this shit on us when they arrived in the first place. Maybe they will take us to preserve us after this is done, I don't know...." Lily just sighed, not sure what to think anymore. She was clearly scared of what might happen, but she was trying to be strong, strong for them and her own family. She wouldn't just let herself die and leave her family like that. She had to find her family, to let them know she was still alive. That would be a hard task, but she told herself that she would pull it off, no matter what. "I don't know.....I really don't know what these aliens want with us. Maybe to just wipe us out so they can take this planet for themselves, I don't know. I don't really want to either" She said, sighing. She just frowned at him saying that he would surrender if they ran across members of their species, and noted that he said he would protect her. So if he surrendered, he would no longer be able to do that. She kept that to herself though, and just couldn't think of anything to say.
Lily let out a quick gasp when Dean pointed at gun at Alan, and was about to say something to tell him everything was okay, when he lowered the gun. She let out a sigh of relief, but that didn't mean she was calm. When he hugged her she was still trembling against his body, but she returned the hug. She wasn't trembling uncontrollably like some people do, but she was definitely trembling. The only reason she may of not been trembling uncontrollably was because she had that bravery in her, but nobody knew that she was brave like that. They hadn't known her or been around her long enough to know much about her, or seen if she was brave or not. She couldn't get herself to say anything in response to him, and just held onto him. "Y-Yes" She said in a shaky voice, and just kept as still as she possibly could.
Luckily for them, despite it sounding kinda noisy on the other side of the door and like there could be a fair amount of aliens, there were actually only two. That wasn't because they had a ton of legs or anything. It just sounded like there could be about 4 of them. If they planned it out, they could probably take the two out if they tried. But these guys were a part of a very advanced race, so who knows how well that would actually go.
They burst through the door, and seemed to see everyone like they were in a room as bright as daylight. Before anyone could even raise their guns or pull the trigger, the aliens hit Alan and Dean with sonic blast guns guns, sending them flying, likely into the walls since this place wasn't exactly big. The good news is, it likely showed that they didn't plan to instantly kill them. Or if they did, they planned to kill them slowly, so they had more of a chance to try something. Or get kidnapped and be killed slowly in that way. There were a few possibilities.
Now that Alan wasn't over Lily and protecting her, they also shot at Lily, sending her slamming into the wall. She was still holding onto her crowbar when she went flying, which clanked against the wall as she hit it, and fell to her side as she thudded onto the floor. The aliens almost looked like they had a look of disappointment, if you could tell that on their faces. As if to show some of her bravery, Lily just grabbed the crowbar and stood right back up. She charged the alien, despite the fact her weaponry was pretty much useless against them, and smacked the alien on the arm. It didn't even seem to really respond, and just pushed her off to the side with it's arm like she weighed nothing, slamming her back into the wall. This time she slid down against the wall, and seemed a little too disoriented to immediately do anything.
