The old man didn't say anything to the first bit of what she said, not really knowing what to say. He smiled at her brightly again, but also had a hint of sadness to his expression. To try and give her hope, even though he wasn't so sure of it himself, he said "Yes, I am sure he would understand completely" While trying to look as friendly as possible. He did also add, "When you see your master again, you may want to tell him that if he does hurt you, it won't go over so well here. Where he's from it may be acceptable to punish you, but here we frown upon that" He told her, patting her on the shoulder. "Now, shall we go?" He asked her.
Electra Electra was curious how many years old these books were, and how fantastic they might be, but focused on the old man when he started to speak. What he said made her raise an eyebrow, specifically the fact he was apparently waiting for her for many moons. How would he know she was coming? She vaguely wondered if he just said that to everyone who came in. Figuring there was no shame in it, she sat down and took the cup of tea. She hoped the old man didn't mind the fact she was armed and that she didn't feel like un-arming herself either. At the same time, before drinking the tea, she smelled it to try to detect poison, though she was pretty sure she had no skills at that at all. "Okay...." She said in response to him saying the people she needs to spread his "wisdom" to. As much as she didn't believe he had anything particularly useful to say to her, she still had an interest in listening to what he had to say. She let out a sigh, and was about to say no, when she realized something and opened up her backpack. "Here, I have some first aid supplies if you need them" She told him, frowning at her backpack, then taking out a few things of medical supplies (she had plenty from collecting it), and pushing it his way. "Also, how do you know me and my friends names?" She asked him, giving him a suspicious look
Liana Electra sighed at Geneva, while Liana chuckled. Electra never understood pregnancy jokes, but Liana could laugh at them. That was when she parted ways with them, and Lina chuckled some more. "She's so serious" She joked, shaking her head. "Like I would have any possible way of even getting pregnant, anyway" She added thoughtfully.
The young man smiled at what Geneva said about him enjoying her, and pretty much saying that Liana was a heterosexual. Geneva was pretty much right about the fact Liana was a bright shade of pink, because she felt extremely embarrassed by what the young man had said and what Geneva had said. He chuckled at what Geneva said, and smiled, saying "Will do, miss", giving her a slight nod and turning back to Liana. Liana looked at Geneva questioningly, because she was supposed to be watched by her, but didn't say anything because she wasn't really a fan of prying eyes on her anyway, watching her every move.

Neko frowned at the man and followed him, still seeming nervous. She then said "My master always says it is like beating a chair, it doesn't matter what the chair things about it, and people shouldn't mind if a chair gets hurt. Plus a chair is more useful then me, so it isn't even really that great of an analogy." she frowned and looked at the ground as she walked, seeming either guilty or embarrassed, or something similar.
Old wise man The old wise blind man smiled slightly as he took the medical supplies, and said "These will go to those who need it most, do not fear Electra." he chuckled slightly as he smoked a little more, blowing the smoke away from her. He waved off her question about how he knew her and her friends "I know things, I always have. Things I can not know, yet do." he then took a very long drag on the pipe. He then frowned slightly "You will encounter hardships soon, very soon, I see evil that travels with you, and I see the evil that is to come. I see slaves, soldiers, and beasts of the sky hunting you, as you go for a device of mythical proportions, they come from the place of concrete and oppression. Another group will find you, one that you already know, with a dark history. You will know him, and he shall know you, but you have never properly met."

The old man that that was the strangest analogy ever, but didn't say anything. If anything, he just gave her a sad look, not really sure what to say. He wanted to go on about how she was as important as anyone else, but felt that it wouldn't accomplish anything because she was too brainwashed, as much as he wanted to make her feel better. He just patted her on the shoulder, walking onwards and saying "It's okay" to her when she frowned, then just walking onwards in silence.
Electra Electra gave a slight smile at the old man at what he said, but that was all. Which wasn't very helpful for a blind old man. She did think this man was pretty cool, though, the way he acted. To what he said next, she just raised an eyebrow, not sure what to think of what he just said. So, if he can't know these things, how does he know them? He seemed to be dodging that whole thing, but she didn't pry into it. To the next part of what he started to talk about, she listened intently. How he knew all of that wasn't immediately important to her, and she clenched her fist tightly. "They won't stop us" She told him, then addressed the part that was making her angry. Sipping her tea, she spoke up. "I know who you are referring to, and I can guarantee to you that we will probably never properly meet" She told him bitterly. "Because the two of us have some unfinished business I would like to address" She said, clenching her other fist tightly. "I won't ask how you know all of this, but I thank you for letting me know and being able to prepare myself and my friends ahead of our arrival. Do you have any other words of wisdom you would like to tell me? Maybe something about my friends I don't know? I don't understand Liana sometimes, and maybe they all have something about them I should know?" She said. Saying that made her feel slightly guilty, because she realized it made it sound like she was prying into personal stuff related to her own friends. Especially since she had secrets of her own she'd rather not share to any of them or anyone for that matter. The only problem is she figured the old man in front of her probably somehow already knew about them anyway, but she didn't think about that too much.
Liana Liana followed the young man who has no name around. He had told her that he was going to take her somewhere, so she decided to follow him to wherever it was he was talking about. From the sounds of the festive music getting louder (Think the Firefly planets), she figured he was taking her to some festivities. Which, honestly, made her happy. She wanted to take a break from what she had got herself into and just relax at a party of some sort. The fact a nice man seemed to be taking her there helped her, too. Well, he appeared to be nice, anyway.
They eventually got to the party location, and there were people dancing around a bonfire happily. She smiled at it all. It was so cheery and happy, and she loved it. She knew Electra would likely just be bored. There was also other festivities going on, and people cooking food and such. It was pretty clear that this place learned to thrive pretty well under the circumstances. She just stood there though, looking around and observing everything until he turned to talk to her.
"Want to dance?" He asked her, putting his hand out to her. She looked uncertain for a moment, but started to smile and took his hand. Seeing as he was a better dancer then her, he started to teach her while dancing, but slowly. Eventually after quite some time, she was dancing fairly well, and they were just having a good time around the bonfire dancing. She seemed to quickly loosen up around him compared to how she felt uncertain at first, and just enjoyed herself for a while with him.

Wise old man The wise old man smiled grimly at Liana "You will find pain and death, a great deal of it, in the future." he smiled slightly sipping a cup a tea again as he thought of her friends. He thought for a handful of minutes before saying "There is one umung you who will be the key to surviving the onslaught that will follow you." he then nodded to her "Please, go forth, and arm yourself with this knolage." he waved her hand forward for her and added "Please, take a small box of tea with you. Your friend will know what to do with it."
Hoover Hegemony Several cars prepared to go, steam engines idling as their soldiers climbed in. Some were heavily assault vehicles, basically tanks with extended areas to accommodate the massive steam engine required to drive the treads at a reasonable speed. Soldiers where hopping in their vehicles as one of the massive Airships took off to serve as a heavy escort for the convoy. The Aviators watched the steam craft moving into rows and moving to escort some massive coal carrying land ships. The whole operation was built on the lower classes, people moving tones and tones of coal into the furnaces of the army. A general walked along inspecting her vehicles as a major next to her commented "Sir, we are using a great deal of coal to move this search along." the General nodded slightly "But if we obtain the goal, then we no longer need coal. And the automations of war shall live again, and we will rebuild the world in our image."

"I have already found lots of death in my life, and some of it by my own hand" Electra said in response, replying to him about as grimly as he had said that to her. "And I seriously doubted it would be the end of it" She said, letting out a sigh. "My journey isn't over yet, and I know there are plenty of dangers to come" She continued. Then, she just fell silent until he spoke again. "Who is this one among us that will be the key to our survival? Let me guess, I'll have to wait and find out" She said, letting out a slight sigh. She had an idea that it was herself, but she didn't want to brag. And it being Liana seemed like the least likely possibility, but she wouldn't completely disregard it being her. If he said Ford she'd probably want to smack him. In all honesty, she was afraid about this upcoming onslaught, and what it meant, but she knew she had been through so many hardships already, she could handle another one or 5. To what he said next, she gave a slight nod. When he told her to take a small box of tea with her, she did as he said, and asked "Who is this friend that will know? Liana? Geneva? I'm guessing Geneva". She started to stand up while waiting for his answer, and then she would depart.

Geneva walked along looking around the festival, smiling at the various people having fun. She had gotten a drink with a small silver coin she had, which was surprisingly cool given how refrigeration had gone the way of electricity. She had seen some cute guys and girls, but had decided to focus on thinking about Electra. She decided to buy a drink for Electra while she was at it, it tasted a little like strawberry and a lot like lemon, she smiled slightly hoping that she would see Electra soon.

Electra departed the wise old man and went back to exploring the cheery town, savoring it all while she could before they moved on. Which she knew would be seen. Might as well enjoy the rather cheery, happy place full of dancing people, even people with staffs before they moved on to whatever awaited them next. It was nice just seeing what kind of stuff they did here, too, beyond the dancing and celebrations they seemed to do a lot. She thought of going to check on Liana, to make sure everything was okay with the boy she was hanging out with, but decided against it......Then ran across Geneva, who she told to watch Liana.
"I thought I told you to watch over Liana" Electra said to Geneva, sounding a bit annoyed. "I wasn't even gone that long and you left her to some stranger we know nothing about. What if he hurts her?" She asked her, glaring at her until she realized that in a place like this, she seriously doubted you could get away with hurting someone. You'd likely get an old man with a staff whupping your ass in about 5 seconds. "Then again, I don't think you'd be able to get away with hurting anyone here very well..." She said thoughtfully to herself, shaking her head slightly.

Geneva frowned at Electra while she was mad, frowning and feeling a little bad about herself. Not that she wasn't used to being yelled at, she had been enslaved after all, and no one learned to be a slave without being yelled out quite a bit. She smiled slightly as she reached the same conclusion Geneva had earlier, and offered her the drink she had purchased "Here, relax Electra, nothing bad will happen here. You worry too much. Come on, what is the worst that can happen? This is a lovely and safe town." with that she put an arm around Electra and jokingly said "Plus love is in the air, can't you just feel it?" after saying that she looked at her drink and wondered if it was alcoholic.

Electra took the drink and let out a sigh at what Geneva said. She knew she worried too much, but sometimes she just couldn't help it. It probably came from living alone for a year, in some.....questionable locations. So she was always alert, worrying about stuff, and so on. Just something she still hadn't gotten over with, and probably wouldn't get over it, especially now that she was on the move frequently again. When Geneva put an arm around her and said there was love in the air, she slipped out from Geneva's arm, then shot her a glare again, because apparently she didn't like Geneva doing any body contact with her. "No, I can't. I just feel more calm then normal here. That doesn't mean I feel calm. I don't feel any love in the air, just happy celebrations" She said to her, then looked at the drink. "Thanks for the drink, by the way" She said, realizing she hadn't even been slightly nice to Geneva yet, feeling slightly bad about that. She took a sip of the drink and coughed slightly from the unexpected taste that hit her lips. "Is this alcoholic?" She asked her, sounding like she was still recovering from the unexpected taste that hit her.

Geneva smiled a little at Electra squirming out of her grasp, not really trying too hard to keep her grip on her. Geneva frowned a little at what she said, about not feeling relaxed "I was just kidding. I'm sorry." she let herself frown for the first time really, she was good at controlling her emotions, but it was hard to be nice to a person who didn't seem like she wanted people to be nice to her. She sighed slightly and muttered "Don't mention it." then turned to walk off, shrugging and saying "I'm going to go find something to do." not really paying attention to the alcoholic question, because she herself didn't know the answer to that.

Electra let out a sigh after Geneva looked sad, not because she found it annoying, but because she was annoyed at herself like she was so often for being rude to others. She even did this to Liana sometimes, which made her feel even worse because she was her best friend. She was about to speak to her, but she started to wander off and Electra just let out a sigh, letting her be alone for now and arguing with herself about how she feels like an ass sometimes. Then she looked at her drink, again wondering if it was alcoholic, and aimlessly wandered off towards one of the festive areas.
A few hours went by, specifically about 3 or 4 hours, and Liana continued to hang out with Lucas, dancing, laughing, giggling, and just having a good time in the festivities. Right now Liana and Lucas were at a camp fire away from the rest of the group, sitting together and chatting. It was a fire made by Lucas. Liana wasn't technically being the smartest. She had consumed some alcohol during the festivities, and she was starting to feel a little tipsy and extra loopy. She still had some alcohol with her, too, but she wasn't currently drinking it. Right now she was chatting to Lucas about various things related to her life, and he was doing the same, but mostly he was just being kind and listening to her intently. She was talking about her self-esteem issues, other issues, Electra, and so on, and the conversation was one of those kinds of conversations that went on for a long, long time.
Electra on the other hand was just leaning against a log near one of the more major campfires where everyone was just now sitting around the campfire, chatting about stuff. She wasn't completely close to the fire, more off to the side, but still relatively close. Even she had done some dancing, but only after she had gotten more drunk. Sober she would take a lot of convincing to get to dance, but drunk? That was a different story. Drunkenly dancing around a fire didn't exactly seem like the brightest idea, either. Now she was just plopped against a log, a beer bottle in hand. If she was sober, she would probably of worried about Liana wandering off alone with a boy, even though she was close enough to town still that if she screamed, everyone would hear her really well. But that didn't stop Electra from being overly protective of her friend and worrying about her.

Neko was one of the many people dancing around, her master giving her permission, and even allowing her to remove the standard restraints that kept her from running off. Ford of course stood not a long distance away, sealed in his suit still, but with a tranquliser in his hand in case Neko tried something. This was a test run for her, if she was good, then she could earn to right to simply sit around in normal clothes, and shoes, instead of her usual outfits. Neko seemed to be honestly having a good time though, especially sense she was dancing with a girl her own age. Ford eventually sat down with a beer, still having his pistol loaded with enough tranquliser to take down a bear.
Geneva found her way through the crowd, she had danced, and 'stolen' a few kisses from various guys and girls of the town. She had some sort of mixed drink in her hand, fruity, but with plenty of alcohol, plus a little umbrella, which Geneva thought was just the coolest thing in the world. She almost instantly spotted her buddy Electra, and walked over to her, not really seeming drunk, though she had certainly injested enough alcohol to be. She plopped herself down right on Electra's lap and smiled in a devilish way "Hey Electra. How are you doing?"

Electra had the idea of instantly dumping Geneva off her lap when she sat down, but in the end decided to just go along with it for the moment. "I am doing just swell" She said, her voice sounding a little gurgled like she had drank too much. Her facial mannerisms and body mannerisms indicated she was drunk, as well. "I would be doing better if you got your ass up off of my lap" She said irritably. Considering that Electra could be an ass even when she wasn't drunk, there was the very high possibility that she could be a very grumpy drunk, instead of a lighthearted drunk that was more entertaining then annoying. At the same time she said that, she decided to change her mind on the idea of just dealing with it, and tried to shove Geneva off of her lap.

Geneva frowned slightly at Electra but generally still seemed cheerful. She had hoped that the alcohol would loosen Electra up a little, maybe loosen her jaw too, so she could steal some kisses. However just as she had opened her mouth to say something she was shoved off of Electra's lap with a squeak, hitting the ground hard and muttering "Ow." before standing up and growling a little at her saying "Fine, drink alone." sounding a little pissed as she rubbed the back of her head, having a headache now. She walked off, sipping what was left of her drink after she spilled some on Electra.
Neko heard the commotion oddly enough and hurried over to Electra, grabbing a cloth as she did and quickly helping her clean off her shirt. She frowned at Electra and slowly asked "Is everything ok?" clearly concerned about her well being.

Electra didn't even seem to notice Geneva getting injured or the fact she was growling at her while she was drunk. "Okay, I will" She said drunkenly, not even seeming to realize right now that she had been kinda like, rude to Geneva and stuff, and Geneva wasn't happy about that. Noticing that Geneva had spilled some drink on her, she just let out a strange noise and seemed to pay it little mind.
Then Neko came over to her and started to help her clean off her shirt that Geneva accidentally spilled on, likely due to Electra shoving her off. Electra just let her clean her, and took another sip of her drink. "Of course everything's not okay" She said drunkenly in response to Neko, which she could probably believe quite easily. Usually if you drank yourself to this state, you were having some problems. "Life is a joke. Life is just one big fucked up mess" She started to drunkenly ramble. Apparently the fun of her day had been sucked away by her alcohol. "The ones you care about die by the cruelest of bastards without you being able to do anything about it, people kill each other for the fun of it, torture, rape, enslave. Every day in this godforsaken shit hole is like being tortured" She continued to ramble, apparently her more depressive side about her life spilling out a little. Well, more like a lot. "This fucked up world makes you do things you never imagined you would do. Murdering people and getting pleasure out of it because you're pissed off at them, because they hurt your family. Neko, I honestly don't know if I am any better of a person then the bastards I have killed, that I have killed in cold blood and ruthlessly, exactly what they would do to me if they had the upper hand on me. Who says I won't snap and become exactly like them in every way? Who says I won't start murdering for real fun like the people I have killed to protect myself or because of what they have done? Who says you, or Liana, or Geneva won't have to kill me to protect themselves from their own fucking friend?" She asked, clutching her bottle tighter and then just smashing it against the log she was leaning against, which made people turn their glance towards the drunken lunatic, but they quickly went back to whatever they were doing before.
"Welcome to the fucking reality of the real world, Neko. It isn't pleasant, is it?" Electra said, shaking her head and sort of curling up next to the log she was just leaning against, but it still looked like she was awake right now.
