Alan sat at the side of the road with an old used truck. He was odly waiting for the two people he RPed with online and who he considered 'friends' he pulled out his pocket watch and said "They should have been here ten minues ago." he sighed and checked his tablet for messages from them on the fourm. He looked out over the desert wondering when they would get here. He opened a Manga he had stored on his tablet and started reading.
(Nellis AFB) An air force general watched a unit of delta force load a large crate onto a C-130 he had ordered his best mean to fly it. A young almost smug member of the secter sevice walked up to him and said "I'm sure you understand sir that you must never tell a soul abot this, orders from the president sir." the general nodded and said "Understood, to be fair i thought it would be more like a disk than a box." the young man nodded in agreement.

Leslie was getting fed up. His damn Ford Ranger that he was given to drive was giving him a bunch of crap. First the car started to leak through the last storm, then the battery gave out on him in the middle of the desert. Luckily it died by a gas station, but the problem with the gas station was it felt like they'd more likely be shot by some crazy shotgun-wielding maniacs then given a battery. Leslie told Makayla to stay in the car, and told her to send Alan a message to say they'd be late. He carefully went up to some men who had beer bellies and sounded like they were always drunk, asking, "Do you guys have any car batteries for sale? I need one thats a (Insert some kind of car battery power and brand here) so I can get moving". The guy who referred to himself as Bill said, "Yes young'en, we happen tah 'ave exactly what ya need. Right this way sir". He led Leslie to some garage while the other man just watched them creepily.

Makayla was alseep for most of the drive. She woke with a start when the battery died. It kind of reminded her of when their parent's car broke down in Maine. She looked at Leslie when he got out, telling her to message Alan that they were going to be late. "How am I supossed to do that?" She asked, but he was gone before he could hear her. She had no phone, and neither did Leslie, so how in the world was she supossed to message anyone anything? She shrugged and hopped it wouldn't take to long.

Alan sat, his Manga was enjoyable, but he started to worry about them. He looked at "His" car and decided he would go looking for them if they weren't there in 20 minutes. He sighed and wondered how his parents were, he had just left, he didn't call them all of today and started to worry if his dad might get angry. He sighed again started chewing a peace of gum wondering if these people would be as fun as they were online.

The garage was covered in spiderwebs and tools. It sort of creeped Leslie out. He felt like there would be some skeleton around the corner, or some zombie jumping out at him. Man, he really did play too many videogames.
The man picked up the battery and handed it to Leslie, then said, "That will be 50 dollars". Leslie sighed. He didn't really have much money, but he handed him over 50 dollars anyway and took the battery. It donned on him that he knew next to nothing about cars, and he asked nervously, "Uh, I don't know anything about cars. Could you switch the battery for me please?". The man grumbled in response and yanked the battery out of Leslie's hand, then went over to the car. Leslie just shrugged and went over, opening the front of the car for him. As the man changed the battery he mumbled something that sounded like, "Damn teenagers and knowing nothing these days". Leslie just shrugged at the comment.
After the man swapped the battery and shut the front of the car, Leslie started up the engine. He was already inside the car while he was working. He made a sound of relief when the car started, then waved to the men and said, "Thanks! We owe you". They just responded with grumbles.
When they finally got about a mile away from the gas station on the boring stretch of straight road, he turned to his sister and shuddered, "Those men freaked me out". He then realized something, and said, "Did you get ahold of Alan?" as if he forgot they didn't have phones.

Makayla sat in the car waiting for them to get done. Being the paranoid person she was, she was slightly freaked out about the person. She looked relieved when Leslie got back in the car. She remained silent untill he talked. "Yeah. They kinda reminded me of those guys that were cutting up that tree. Remember how we we being all friendly and saying 'hi!' and stuff, and they just glared at us? It was extra freaky because of the chainsaws they had," She said, laughing. She raised an eyebrow at him,"No."

"Oh man, those guys were probably the freakest people I have met. It felt like they were about to turn on the chainsaws and cut us up or something" Leslie said with a laugh. "Did he not answer?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Luckily they only had about 10 minutes more to go, though that would make them about 20 minutes late.

Makayla laughed, "Yeah. I kinda just wanted to get out of there," She sighed, then leaned back in her chair, then looked at him. "No, we don't have a phone, DUH," She said teasingly. She sighed. She wanted to get out of this damn car.

"Me too" Leslie said. "Oh yeah!" He said, facepalming while driving. "Ugh, I can be stupid sometimes" He said, shaking his head. "Well, we are almost there anyway. Only like another 10 minutes"" He said.
After 10 minutes passed, they finally pulled up next to Alan. Leslie got out and went up to Alan and said, "Sorry about that. Car problems".

"I know," Makayla replied in a teasing sibling way. She sighed and closed her eyes for the rest of the 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes Makayla got out of the car and stretched. She walked over to Alan, stayig behing Leslie. She waved, "Hi," She said shyly

Alan looked up from his tablet and jumped up putting it in his big coat pockets. He walked over to their car and smiled at them. He nodded to Leslie and said "No problems, I'm just glad you made it." he reached to shake his hand. He looked over at Makayla and said "Hi, nice to finally meat you in person, you have lovely hair."

Leslie was suprised he wasn't acting more shy then he was. "Well, we came in a car thats about 19 years old, so...." He said with a laugh. He gently shook Alan's hand and said, "Nice to meet you". He laughed slightly at Alan's compliment on his sisters hair, but said nothing.

Makayla, still kind of taking shelter behind Leslie, blushed faintly and muttered a very quiet,"Thanks..." She was just naturally shy with everyone. She wasn't quite sure what do do now, so she just stayed there behind Leslie.

Alan smiled and exclaimed "19 Years, God that's a long time." he smiled at them, he was often much more timid, but he felt almost as if he knew these people. He reached in his car window and pulled out a burger king bag and handing them each a $2 burger, he smiled at Makayla and said "You don't have to be shy, I don't bite." he took a burger and started eating, saying "I thought you guys might be hungry so I got us burgers."

"I know, right? Luckily it only leaked on us and the battery died" Leslie said. "Thanks!" He said with a smile, taking the burger. He quickly started to eat it. He was hungry for a while now, so this was definitely a good gift right now. "Eh, I'm usually as shy as she is" He said, gesturing to Makayla. "It's kinda boring out in this desert, ain't it?" He said jokingly.
