Name: Marissa Penikett
Age: 21
Appearance:
Home Colony: Aerilon
Weapons: Picon Five-seveN
Personal items: Mostly various family heirlooms given to her when she departed for Galactica and arrived a day ago, that she keeps safe in her locker, and some other meaningful commodities to her.
Bio: Marissa was born to a farming family on Aerlion, which isn't exactly surprising, considering how much farming seems to be involved with Aerilon. The whole family lived on one big farm, but even still, they were quite poor. Probably because of the farm being big. Though, the whole family pitched in to pay for it, since they were all sharing the property. Everyone had their own various tasks to do on the farm, to make money and expand their income. Even if being poor was hard on them, they loved that they were working together on it as a family, because in their mind, that was the best way to work. Their farm had things from produce, being fruits and vegetables, to chickens, cows, horses, and so on. They mostly raised horses to be sold on the market, for racing and just for people to buy in general. Though, they do use some for their work, like rounding up their cattle and such. So because of this Marissa has learned how to ride, which doesn't really serve any purpose whatsoever in anything related to the RP.
Her dad was the most caring to her, and loved her the most out of her parents. Though, her mother loved her too. So did her brother. Her dad was always there to make her happier when she was down, help her when she needed, and support her with whatever her dreams were. One day, her father had gone out on a protest against the government with other people, and hadn't come back for a few days. This was due to him getting arrested for 'disturbing the peace', or more like 'protesting against the government', and was detained for a few days and tortured to know his motives, and who he worked for or where he worked. In the end, he was let go, because there was no reason to detain him, and he got out with nothing but being a little sore, because he managed to get let out before the torture got bad. Likely because he, for the most part, told them what they wanted to know, though he was a little more hesitant related to his family. He went back to his family, told them what happened, they got pissed, and then in the end went back to how life was, hoping the government would one day change. Though, the whole family pledged that if things got too bad, they would all join in to take the government down, or at least try.
As the years went by, everything stayed relatively fine, and they went back to their normal lives. For a long time, she had a dream to become a Viper pilot. When she hit 18, she told this to the whole family at one of their parties, and a few of them had been shocked, knowing that she was willing to train in something that would likely be life-threatening. Her dad, as usual, was supportive, but afraid for her. Her grandpa on the other hand told her to follow him into somewhere private, and told her about something that has been a hidden treasure on the farm for years. Almost everyone knew about it in the family, except the youngest generation, though people rarely talked about it. He told her that it was in their old abandoned barn that nobody used anymore, and that he would show her what this hidden treasure is, after she got permission from her dad. So, he was treating her like she was still a little girl on a special trip with her grandpa, and she absolutely loved it, even though she really wanted to know what it was and didn't want to wait.
So, it was a few days later when her grandpa got approval and took her off to this special surprise in the old, non-used barn. When they got there, she was welcomed with the sight of an old Viper that needed definite fixing up, but she was happy enough with seeing that there was a Viper in here, and she hugged her grandpa in excitement. Her grandpa told her that he would work with her to fix it up over months and months, and that he himself would teach her how to use it. He told her that it was his old Viper from back in his war days, before the rebellion of the Cylon's from 40 years ago, and during the rebellion of the Cylon's. So it was a pretty old ship, but he promised her that they could fix it up. Due to their low amount of money, they could only work on it slowly, though they were fixing up some parts that just needed repairs too, and not entirely replaced. So, due to this, she had learned a little about mechanics. And her grandpa had told her how much she needed to get in shape too, even though she was already in shape from working on the farm a lot. He explained to her how much weight she needed to hold on each of her legs and whatnot to push various petals when in space, and she did a lot of that training in her spare time.
It took them about a year to get the ship in good condition, with some protests from family because of the money it cost that they didn't have. Though in the end, they were quite happy that they finished it, and she got to fulfill her goal. Over the next 2 years, she got training from her grandpa. But not all the time, because again, they didn't have an endless amount of money to pay for the gas that it cost. So her training was slow, but she definitely improved with her flying. The only problem is she only knew how to fly alone, and not with others as of yet. Not massively long after she hit 21, she signed up for more serious training and practice, and it didn't take long for her to be assigned to the Galactica if she chose to. With a mixture of happiness and sadness, she accepted and hugged her family goodbye, which is where they started to give her all the family heirlooms to pass on. Then, she headed off for Galactica.
A day after she arrived and got situated, the Cylon's attacked, and her life changed forever. Her whole entire family was likely dead, which was sadly to be expected, and now she was forced into a situation of helping to defend Galactica that she wasn't even completely sure she was prepared for yet, while fighting all the emotions that were now hitting her related to her family likely being all dead. She had gained a close bond to her father during the training, and he was one of the people she missed the most. She was nervous, but pretty much anyone would be. All she knew was that she would have to practice even more then she already did, to make sure she was prepared.

Character TwoName: Maynard Winslow
Age: 32
Appearance:
Home Colony: Caprica
Weapons: Picon Five-seveN
Personal items: A picture of his wife and two kids, along with a big family picture of the rest of his family. Or, at least, most of it. He also has a lighter, but other then what you'd expect in his locker, nothing else really.
Bio: He was born to a rich family on Caprica, which probably isn't massively surprising. Their lives were pretty normal in the life of luxury. They never had financial issues, or anything major happen. It was a nice life, and he quite enjoyed it. Not that his parents were the greatest of people ever, but he didn't mind them that much. He tended to love his siblings more then his parents, especially his youngest sister and his older brother.
But eventually, he left to go work on the Galactica as a mechanic. By then, he had moved out with his wife and had started a family. He was sad to leave his siblings, parents, and family, but really wanted this job. Though, he went and visited his family as often as he was allowed to. A few years later, he managed to advance to the Chief Petty Officer of the mechanics, and his job had gotten harder because of it. But at the same time, he loved the honor to be serving a more important job.
Then, the Cylon's attacked, and like pretty much anyone on the ship, he expected that his family was dead, and it was really hard on him. And at the same time he knew his job was about to get a lot freaking harder, with the likely constant repairs that would be going on. He and his crew had already inspected Marissa's ship to make sure it was running well, since it was old, so they at least didn't have that issue at the moment.

Character ThreeName: Irene Sossamon
Age: 20
Appearance:
Home Colony: Picon
Weapons: Picon Five-seveN
Personal items: A jeweled necklace that she wears all the time for good luck, because it has meaning to her, along with some other random stuff I will just come up with as the story goes that's mostly in her locker.
Bio: About all I can think of at the moment is that she got a job doing communications on Galactica between ships and contacting the enemy, but that's about it. There doesn't seem like there would be a whole lot of noteworthy stuff related to her past. She was born on Picon, born to a great family, got free education, and came to Galactica when she was 18. But never did she have quite as stressful a situation as she has now that the Cylon's have attacked, and she, like everyone of my characters, fears for the worst for her family.
