Name: Olivia Mantegna
Age: 16
Appearance:
District: 12
Skills: Her strong suit is sword fighting. While she wishes she was good at long-ranged weaponry, she never felt like she was very good at that, and instead worked on her melee combat with sticks and stuff, until she would be able to actually have a real sword. Though, she did make sure the sticks she practiced with weighed about the same as your typical sword, so she wouldn't pick up a sword and be completely thrown off by the weight.
Bio: Her life was rather rough in District 12. Seeing as District 12 is the poorest district, it isn't really surprising that life would be rough for her there. But that wasn't the only reason her life was rough. At a young age, her father died in a mining accident, and that made her already poor life even worse, because her mother didn't work and her father was the only one giving them income. So, she had to start doing some work herself, to make some sort of income, since her mother was kinda useless. She had no sister either, so she was alone with her useless mother. Her father was who she cared about the most out of her parents.
Then, to make matters worse for her mother, she ends up being one of the children chosen for the annual Hunger Games event. As much as she despised her mother at times, she couldn't help but feel terrible for being forced to leave her alone with no job and no money. But that was the way of the screwed up society she lived in, and there was nothing she could do about being taken away from her mother to participate in this stupid annual fight to the death game.
Items(Not massively important): I can't really think of anything special she would have with her. Her items would likely be whatever she gets when she participates in the Hunger Games
Extras: For a poor person, she does have a rather nice black dress. That's probably her and the families most expensive belonging, and when she's not doing any dirty work, that is typically what she wears. She wore it to the lottery, for example, and will probably wear it at the random events that go on until she is given the specific gear for the Hunger Games themselves.
Character TwoName: Evanna Lovegood
Age: 12
Appearance:
District: 4
Skills: She doesn't have any special fighting skills, but she is rather good at climbing trees. She is also rather agile, and because of her age and height, she can get around other, much taller people with ease, making her efficient at escaping people due to her size. Even if she was taller, she is still an agile person, and can get around quickly and well because of that.
Also, since she is from District 4, she is rather good at catching fish. She has gone fishing on her own before, and is pretty good at it. At the same time, she has been taught how to make her own fishing mechanisms, nets, polls, and so on. This could benefit her for food during the Hunger Games.
Another thing she is good at from being a part of District 4 is she is a strong swimmer, which can benefit her if she is trying to escape people.
Bio: Since the district she is in is one of the better off districts, her family was decently well off compared to some of the people from the other districts. That didn't mean things were perfect for her, however. She has a mother, a father, and a older sister. Her life growing up was fairly normal though, with nothing noteworthy happening that was terrible in her life. There was the problems, which was to be expected from any household, but no big terrible events.
Her biggest fear throughout her life was hitting the age of 12 and being the age that was old enough to be chosen for the annual Hunger Games. She dreaded her 12th birthday with every passing year, since she was about 6 and started to understand what was going on more. Likely because her older sister, now 18, had just started being a possible candidate herself, and it freaked her out knowing that she could possibly lose her sister like that. Then it freaked her out even more knowing that she would eventually be old enough to be a candidate for this cruel event. Her sister tried to convince her that the odds of her being chosen were slim, especially as soon as she hit 12, but it wasn't enough to reduce her fears any.
Items(Not massively important): A family pendant given to her shortly before going up to see if she would be chosen for the Hunger Games or not, which the family considers to be a good luck charm. She's not much for believing in that kind of stuff, but having it with her makes her feel closer to her family and she feels that bond makes her mentally, emotionally, and physically stronger and more into fighting for her life.
Extras: Nothing I can think of, really.
Character ThreeName: Sean Angelopoulos
Age: 16
Appearance:
District: 6
Skills: His proficiency is in throwing objects, like throwing knives, spears, and axes. He never found that he was very good at a bow, sword fighting, martial arts, or anything in that general realm, but give him a throwing knife and he can be extremely precise.
Normally this wouldn't be that useful, but he is known for being very alert, which would benefit him if anyone tried to sneak up on him at night, or in the day. Because of his alertness to anything around him, it would likely be next to impossible to get a sneak kill on him.
Bio: He had a relatively good life. His family was one of the better known families that did work on new transportation vehicles, and they even advanced some of the technology from what it used to be. He had a younger sister he loved dearly, who was 10. As much as he loved his parents, he couldn't help but be closest to his sister, which he had a feeling was because he felt protective over her. There had been a time where he had actually protected her from some freak, and ever since then he felt especially close to his sister.
When he was chosen to be a part of the 74th annual Hunger Games, it made him extremely upset, not because he would be in one of the stupidest forms of entertainment in history, but because he would be forced to leave his sister behind. He felt like her guardian, her protector, so now he felt awful that he couldn't be there for his sweet little sister. And because he was chosen for this, possibly never be there for his sister again. It really hit him hard.
Items(Not massively important): Other then some throwing weapons that he'll get eventually, nothing.
Extras: Nothing.
Character FourName: Joel Alaskey
Age: 15
Appearance:
District: 9
Skills: His strong point is martial arts. While he isn't that great with weapons, he can do really quite good at, say, blocking someones attack with a knife, sword, or whatever. He probably could train himself to the point where he could do his martial arts with blades in hand, though.
His other strong point is his survival abilities. He is good at making traps, weird mechanisms, helpful tools, camps, starting fires, and so on and so forth. This could prove extremely useful during the Hunger Games.
Bio: His life wasn't such a pleasant life. First of all, his parents were terrible parents. They treated him like crap, bossing him around like crazy. He dealt with it for a long time before he finally decided he had enough and he ran away as far as he could go. That was when he was 12. From then on, he lived alone in the woods, surviving on his own. His parents never seemed to bother to even try and look for him, either. Which didn't exactly bother him. He saw his parents a couple of times, when he went into town, but that was it.
Like was necessary every year, though, he went to the lottery to see if he would be chosen for the Hunger Games. Part of him was actually somewhat interested in the event, and he almost hoped he would be picked. But another part of him didn't like the idea of going out and killing people for the sake of entertainment for some rich assholes. Or really killing people for that matter. He expected he could just stay out of it if he wanted to, seeing as he was hiding in the woods, but something always drew him in, and he didn't know why. It took until he was 15 to finally be chosen, though.
Items(Not massively important): He'll probably go for the backpack the instant the games start, so then the backpack and its contents will be his items.
Extras: Nothing
