Maisie and Emilia Dinklage arrived to the school together in the back of their parents Pontiac Montana. Both their mom and dad came to drop them off at the school. They had already signed all the crap to allow them to attend and stay at the school for as long as they chose. Sure, it was a sad time for the family, letting their kids stay at a boarding school by themselves. But at the same time their parents had so much work that they couldn't give their kids the proper education they needed, since they were previously home schooled. They couldn't really give them the proper attention either. So they hoped that this school would enhance their abilities, teach them what they needed to know, and to give them the proper attention and friends that they needed in this stage of their life. Both Maisie and Emilia got out of the van, and they both looked rather excited. They both got along well with each other too, which was obviously a good thing with siblings. They got along so well that they both insisted on rooming with each other at the school. Which their parents gladly accepted, and got them a room together. Their parents were of course happy that Maisie and Emilia got along so well. That was the type of siblings they had always dreamed of having together, ones that would get along so well. "Be good you two" Their mother said to them. Their mother was clearly emotional about this whole thing. Their father seemed to be pretending not to be, but wasn't doing a very good job at it. "Of course we will be" Maisie joked in a teasing way to her mom, right before embracing her in a big hug. "I will miss you mom" She said, seeming to get emotional herself. Following that, she hugged her father. "I will miss you too dad" She said quietly, hugging him for quite some time before letting go of him. "We will miss you two" They both said at the same time. While Emilia said her own goodbyes, Maisie started to get their stuff out of the back. "Don't get in trouble mom and dad" Emilia joked, and both of her parents laughed. They embraced and said their goodbyes as Maisie came back with both Emilia and her own luggage. "Damn sis, you don't need to carry everything" Emilia joked, and Maisie just smiled. "Here you go" She said to her sister, handing her the handle to her suit case and putting her bag over her shoulder. Emilia grunted in fake annoyance, and they both waved their final goodbyes to their parents before heading inside. As soon as they entered, Maisie had to make a comment. "I swear this school looks like it's styled like a Space Ship straight out of a Star Trek or Star Wars movie" She said with amazement, thinking that was actually kinda neat how the school was designed like a space ship. Or well, styled. Over all it didn't look a whole lot like a space ship. "You are such a geek" Her sister commented with a laugh. Unlike her sister, she didn't really care a whole lot that it was styled like a space ship. It wasn't that she didn't like it, she just honestly didn't care either way if it wasn't or not. She preferred to focus on things like sword fighting, dancing, archery, drawing, and even playing musical instruments. While her sister was a little more of a movie, show, and game geek. Not that she didn't have the things that she would likely do well at in life, it was just clear who cared more to be successful in something in her life. Even Emilia liked to write stories sometimes, just not as much as the other things. Maisie playfully rolled her eyes at her sister. "Wouldn't it be funny if it was actually a real space ship? Imagine the excitement everyone would get if it was. Not like that would actually be the case" She said. Boy was she wrong. One day they were likely to find out the truth of the school, that it really was a space ship. For now, Maisie could only dream about it taking off into space and actually being a real space ship. That would be a dream-come-true to her to travel to space like that. Or, a nerd dream come true, whichever you preferred. Now Emilia was kind of thinking her sister was just being crazy. "Oh come on, what's the likelihood of it being a real ship? Like, 1 in a million, if not way higher then that" She said, apparently trying to ruin her sisters dreams with logic. That seemed to occur rather often. While Maisie was the geek, Emilia was sort of the brainiac who liked to spend hours on the internet searching up useful things to learn. She hated to spend too much time on the internet, say, wasting her time that she could be using to learn to role play instead. "Hey, don't ruin my childhood dream that this is a real space ship" Maisie said with fake annoyance to her sister. "Just because you never appreciate life outside of learning everything you possibly can does not mean you need to ruin my dreams" She joked again. "I swear you never feel like playing games with me or watching movies with me" She joked yet again. Emilia now rolled her eyes with fake annoyance. "At least I will be successful in life instead of eventually turning into a street bum because I have no knowledge and will never succeed in life" She teased. "Most movies suck and a lot of the games you play are violent, gory ones" She complained. "Same with the movies you watch" She added. "Come on sis, let's stop having a silly sister argument and get going" She said with a smile, and grabbed her sisters hand to pull her to the rather high-tech security for the school. It was more to avoid, say, terrorists walking in with weapons, or any student walking in with a dangerous weapon. Sure, you could use guns, swords, and arrows all in the combat class. But that didn't mean you were allowed to walk in the school with a machine gun. "Hey, I won't be a street bum" Maisie complained in a joking way. "I'm not that stupid. I do learn enough to avoid being that terribly off, unless something really bad happens in my life" She said. "Oh come on. You can't hide under a rock from gory things forever. Besides, there are some great gory games and movies that there's more to it then just the gore. Like the amazing stories. I thought you liked stories. Are your stories you write always going to be about friendly fairies and butterflies?" She asked in a joking way. Before she could answer, she was pulled along by her sister to the security crap. Which she let herself be pulled along, since it was time for them to move on anyway. Emilia just moved on from the first part of their 'argument', if you could call it that. If it was an argument, it was one of the most unserious arguments in history. At the next part of what her sister said she almost seemed to actually be offended by what she said, but tried to hide it. "I do. I love a good story. I just get squeamish with gore. You know how I am about those things" She said. "No....I don't even like fairies and butterflies all that much, at least as something important in a story" She said, seeming kind of offended. As they spoke, they were waiting in line at security. Which wasn't a very long line, since they were already pretty much at the main part of security. Maisie nodded with a smile. "I know sis. Sorry if I upset you" She said, noticing how her sister seemed a little offended and down after what she said. Growing up with her after all these years, she learned some of the obvious signs of her sister not being as happy, and this was one of those times. She just nodded to the next thing and started getting ready for the security stuff. She put her bag on the conveyor belt thing, and her suitcase. So did Emilia. The security guard person told them that their luggage will be delivered to their dorms, and they could go right on ahead to the cafeteria. They both nodded, not really caring to have their bags or suitcases right now, and walked through the next security thing successfully. None of them were wearing metal earrings or anything, or metal belts, or anything else like metal bracelets and such, so they got through easily. Emilia just said nothing to the part of her sister apologizing, since they kind of got busy with the security shiz. "Let's go to the cafeteria and meet some people" She said excitedly to Maisie, and took her hand again to drag her in the direction of the cafeteria, which was marked with an obvious "CAFETERIA" sign that pointed in the direction of the cafeteria. It was pretty easy to tell that both of the sisters weren't very shy, and seemed kind of energetic if anything. Emilia more so. Maisie was kind of the quieter geek, while Emilia was the more energetic...everything? They both eventually arrived to the cafeteria, where all the teachers of the school were sitting in, to Maisie, a Hogwarts-like teacher setting in front of all the students at the school. Though, unlike Hogwarts, the cafeteria/Dining Hall place looked space-agy. In a cool way, though. The Headmistress was sitting in between all the teachers, who were lined at tables on either side of her. Both Maisie and Emilia were actually a little surprised by how young their Headmistress was, but at the same time kind of liked that, since she was closer to their age and would probably understand what they were going through more, like if they have hormonal episodes or whatever while they are at this school. While being dragged to a table, Maisie gestured to the line of teachers and said, "Doesn't that remind you of the Hogwarts school setting? With all the teachers up there like that?" She asked her sister. Her sister rolled her eyes, but not noticeable to Maisie. "I guess" She said simply, and sat down at one of the cafeteria tables with her sister. Her sister was directly across from her. Nobody else was sitting at their table as of yet, however. Right now they both just focused their attention on the Headmistress, and gave a quick look at all the teachers. The Headmistress was still waiting for a few more people to arrive before starting her speech, but she spoke in some comm thingy to inform the whole school that they were supposed to go to the cafeteria. "All students and teachers, new and old, please come to the cafeteria to meet the new students and teachers, and hear their introductions. Thank you" The Headmistress' voice boomed through the entire school, probably a couple times before she would get everyone to come. Or, most everyone. Some students avoided the activities like this, and kept to themselves anyway, even if they were told to come. Miltos, the new combat teacher, was sitting patiently at his part of the table for him to be able to introduce himself to the class, and the other teachers he may have a chat with. But right now he was keeping his mouth shut out of respect to the Headmistress, and just waited for all the students to flock into the cafeteria that needed to arrive. He always loved new faces, just because there was such a variety of interesting characters entering the room. Just by looking at them all, he could tell they would be an interesting bunch. In his mind he was wondering how many of them he would actually be teaching combat training, but didn't really care who. Just that he would teach them well, and hopefully a lot quickly. He knew like any place, some of the students would probably hate him and not want to be taught by him. But that was just life. "The Principal, or Headmistress as they call her here, is so young" Maisie said in a way that indicated she liked that. "Wonder if they call her Headmistress because they preferred the Hogwarts way" She said to her sister, who looked like she was pretending to be interested. "I'm guessing they just went with Headmistress, Maisie" Emilia said with a bit of a chuckle. Maisie just disregarded that and looked at the teachers. "I hear that the teacher with the awesome hair will be our combat teacher. I hope his awesome hair reflects that he is awesome as a person, because if it does, I can already envision him as a neat combat teacher" Maisie said to her teacher, probably boring her more. Emilia glanced over at the teacher her sister mentioned, and nodded in agreement. "I could see him being awesome" She said simply, then just sort of spaced out for the time being. Maisie pretty much did the same. If anything, they were both listening to the conversations that were going on around them, instead of just talking back and forth to each other forever.

Josh's foster mom drove him to the school in a kind of fancy Mustang. Josh wasn't really the type to like muscle cars much, but he like this Mustang, though, he never really cared much for driving, in general. Once they got to the school and parked, Josh's foster mom started fussing over him, as usual. "Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, it's perfectly fine if you want to change your mind," She said.
"This was my idea, remember?" Josh said, smiling. He knew his foster mom meant well, even if it was a little annoying. "I want to learn how to use my powers better, and this is the only way." He got out of the car slowly, and his foster mom hopped out and went around to help him. "I've got it," He said, pushing her away gently. He stood up, managing not to hit his head on the roof of the car for once. He then walked over to the trunk, running his hand along the side of the car and humming quietly as he did.
Josh's foster mom watched Josh fondly. She was happy that he had the powers that he did. She wasn't freaked out about it like most moms probably would be. "If anyone tries to undermine you, just ignore them," She said fondly. Josh kind of rolled his eyes, which couldn't be seen behind his reflective sunglasses. "If they try to make me feel helpless, I'll show them otherwise," Josh said, taking his suitcase and guitar case out of the back of the car.
"That's my boy," Josh's slightly overly sweet foster mom said. She went over to him and gave him a kiss,"Remember to call me. If you ever decide you want to come home, just say so. And if you need help with anything, don't be afraid to ask the teachers," She said, fussing over him again.
"You act like this is all new to me. It's been two years," Josh said, smiling slightly. He knew she was just a bit overprotective. "I'll be fine. I should probably get going." With that he started humming to himself again and walking towards the security area. He walked kind of slowly, and with his head down, as if he was staring straight down. Once he got to the security area, he put his suitcase and guitar on the conveyer belt. After the security guard told him that his suitcase would be taken to his room, he said,"Can you give me directions to the cafeteria?" The guard nodded, and gave him directions. "Just follow the signs if you get lost, it's easy," The guard said after finishing with the directions.
Josh headed off towards the cafeteria, muttering to himself slightly. As he walked he ran his hand along the wall, and hummed to himself. He walked into the cafeteria and over to a table just in time to hear two girls, siblings, by the sound of it, talking about the Headmistress. He sat down slowly next to them,"You know, principal and Headmistress, or headmaster, are different things, right? A Headmaster is like, the leader of the school. I think a principal is more of a...rulekeeper, or something like that." He hoped that the girls didn't mind him butting into their conversation, and just had his head tilted so it looked like he was just staring at the table.
{Katelin} Katelin drove herself to school in her beat up Toyota Camry. She was very exited to learn more about her powers, and to just learn in general. She pulled in just in time to see a Mustang leave the parking lot. She hopped cheerfully out of her car and popped open the back, grabbing her bags. She then locked up her car and pretty much skipped over to the security area. She went through all that stuff and half-skipped, half-jogged to the cafeteria, sitting down by some random people. "Hi!" She said to pretty much anyone around her.

Both Maisie and Emilia turned to Josh and smiled at him. Somebody to get to know and possibly be friends with already. They liked that. They didn't even mind the fact that he was pretty much correcting them. "I think you are right" Maisie said to him. "Thanks for that" She said with a smile. "You kind of remind me of Cyclops from X-Men with those glasses. Don't tell me that if you take them off a red laser beam comes out of your eyes" She joked to him, trying to make conversation quickly, even if it was a kind of strange way to start out a conversation. But Josh would just have to get used to it if he wanted to hang out with them, since they were both rather strange at times.
Emilia laughed to herself at what Maisie said to the guy. She was doing her typical strange referring to everything as something from a show or movie, including people. It was funny that she was calling Maisie weird though, since Emilia was by far as weird as her, just in a different way. "I like your glasses" She said to Josh with a laugh that made her sound like she was uncomfortable saying that, or just felt awkward saying that. The way she was acting where she seemed to be fiddling with a fork probably confirmed that more.
Maisie chuckled quietly at what her sister said to Josh. Before she even knew her name, it seemed like she was already making feeble attempts at hitting on him, or flirting with him, if you could call it that. If anything, it was more like Emilia's awkward, inexperienced attempt at flirting, or just being nice to some boy that she probably was attracted to or something, or felt that she would like him. She had seen this with her sister before with a neighbor that they knew briefly, before he moved away to somewhere. It was pretty obvious to her that her sister really wasn't that good at impressing boys. Especially the fact she chose one that looked like he could easily be about 4 years older then her. It was also a little strange. But she wouldn't stop her sister for now. Might as well let her sister have a little fun trying to befriend him like that, if not for her own enjoyment to see her sister utterly embarrass herself.
At Maisie laughing, Emilia started to look like she was blushing, and she started to laugh in an embarrassed, uncomfortable way. She felt like shoving her sister playfully for making the moment more embarrassing then it already was, but decided against it. At least for now. So instead she just let her sister have the satisfaction of successfully embarrassing her. But she didn't want to just get up and leave the room temporarily to stop being embarrassed in private, because she felt that would give the wrong impression or something. But the fact that she was getting embarrassed in front of Josh was just making her even more embarrassed then she already was, so she fiddled with the fork some more and looked down at the table, and again laughed uncomfortably.
Maisie felt satisfied at utterly embarrassing her sister, and she was grinning quite a lot at the fact she embarrassed her sister so much. It was probably a good thing her sister didn't notice, otherwise she would probably get even more embarrassed then she already was. As if to make things worse, Maisie got up and left the two alone to go get herself a plate full of food, instead of just chatting with nothing to eat. She was hungry anyway, but her main reasoning for getting up with to make it worse for Emilia.
Emilia noticed her sister get up and leave, and she knew exactly what her sister was up to by leaving. She chuckled nervously at that, and seemed to be having a hard time thinking of something to say to Josh now. Now she was left to defend for herself with the awkwardness Maisie brought upon her. Or, technically she brought it upon herself, but Maisie just made it worse. It's kind of like having her sister around, as long as she didn't make things worse, king of made her feel more protected around others or something. It's not that she really had a problem around people, it was just that her sister being around seemed to help sometimes. "So, um, what's your name?" She asked with another nervous and uncomfortable laugh. That was about all she could think of saying, and just went with it for now.

Alan sat in a car that moved toward the school, it wasn't anyone he knew driving, just someone he hired for the job. His parents wanted him to call them every day, but he pointed out that he probably wouldn't be able to, so they settled for email instead. He twitched just sitting there, the shear volume of information his brain was forced to process was like a dull throbbing headache that wouldn't go away, and those were the best days, otherwise it could be like torture. He shook his head as the car stopped, it was a good day for his head pain, and pulled out a satchel and a suitcase. The satchel was filled with every electronic device you could think of other than like a supercomputer, because that was in the suitcase. He walked up toward the guard and said hi to him using his name, which he acquired from the man's phone. He set his luggage on the conveyer belt and then waked through all the other security things as normally as anyone. The minute he got through he went around a corner and whimpered to himself, the metal detector hurt him bad for some reason, if he had known he would have asked not to go through it, but now it felt like his brain was on fire. He slowly made his way to the cafeteria and sat down immediately at whatever table he should go to. He just put his head on his arms and sat there, wondering if he would have to go through another metal detector. He heard some female say hi to people around her and grunted slightly in response.
(Oshizu) Oshizu sat in front of the students with the other teachers, she didn't look much older than most of them, she had stopped aging on her 16th birthday, and it kind of annoyed her after this long. She had one hand on her sword just out of habit rather than any sort of threat, with her other hand she adjusted her armour slightlyas she sat because it wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing to wear. She leaned over to Miltos and said "Looks like a good batch, hai?" she normally used hai instead of yes because she liked the word more. She couldn't wait to teach history to them, and probably help Miltos show students how to swordfight given how she was well trained. She leaned back slightly and just smiled slightly.
(Yun) Yun walked along, she had no car or family or friends to drive to the school so she had been walking from the last public transport stop. She had a rifle in her rather large backpack just in case, but for now it was hardly useful to her. She saw the school was only a mile or so away and started a quick jog toward it, showing she was in good shape. After that mile she had a layer a sweat on her forehead but seemed to pay it no mind. She was out of breath, but managed to say to the guard "Kim, Yun reporting." then realised what she should do and set her backpack on the belt. She walked through the metal detector and pointed out her uniform had metal on it and she didn't have anything under it, so she would be uncomfortable taking it off. Eventually she was able to get away and walk to the cafeteria muttering to herself in Korean. She leaned against a wall rather than sit down and just looked at the others uncomfortably, straitening her North Korean uniform.

Josh nodded to the two girls,"You're welcome. Were you homeschooled before this? I mean, if you'd been to school, it seems like you would know that. And sorry if that sounds insulting in any way," He didn't look at them as he spoke, and just sat there with his head lowered. He lifted his head only when Maisie said he looked like Cyclops from X-men with his sunglasses. His hand went up to his glasses and he nearly knocked them off. "No..." He didn't seem to know exactly who Cyclops was.
He turned his head toward Emilia when she spoke, and said,"Thanks." He himself couldn't really care less about whether or not his sunglasses were cool, but it was a nice thing to say, nonetheless. He noticed her uncomfortable laugh, but didn't pay it much mind, figuring that responding would only embarrass her more. Which seemed to be her sister's goal. He sighed quietly. Sometime he wished that he had a sibling, but really all he had family-wise were the parents who he had ended up being taken away from for his own protection. He clenched his fists just thinking about them. They had always beat him, but the last time had been so bad it permanently affected him, and had almost killed him.
He just sat quietly while the sisters had their little quiet moment. He didn't know that Emilia was blushing, and had gone back to having his head lowered. If he had been aware that she was blushing, he wouldn't really have cared, anyway. He noticed Maisie leave, and turned his head toward Emilia when she spoke again. "I'm Josh Winchester. And you?" He asked, not making any movement to shake her hand or anything.
He hummed quietly and turned his head toward the area where you get food from and frowned, then he turned his head toward a girl who had just walked in and leaned against a wall. He figured that she might be slightly anti-social. He gently waved her over, inviting her to come sit with them, where there were only a couple of people.
{Katelin} Katelin noticed some guy sit down not to far away from her, acting like he had a headache. "Are you OK?" She asked gently, not wanting to make his headache worse with her normal over-exited voice. She was already working on making friends with a few random people, and was about ready to get up and get some food, but she wanted to make sure that the guy was OK, first.

"No, no, it's not insulting at all" Maisie said reassuringly, and smiled at him. "Yeah, we were both home schooled. But we wanted to learn more about our abilities, and our parents were starting to get too busy with their jobs to give us the proper attention and education that parents were expected to give, so they sent us, with our acceptance, off to this school to learn about our abilities, get the proper education we need, proper socialization, and whatever else we are allowed to learn here. Of course the whole process was a little emotionally draining for the family, separating like that. I bet on some weekends though, our parents are almost guaranteed to show up to visit us at some point" She explained to him. It was a little long-winded, but that didn't bother her. If anything, she was more worried it bothered him. She just smiled at him when he said no, figuring he might of just not of known who she was referencing. She was just being her geeky self anyway.
Emilia listened to Maisie's big story that she said, and just nodded to it in agreement. "You are welcome" She said in that embarrassed tone of voice again. It was pretty obvious that she had a hard time talking to him without getting embarrassed. Or, at least complimenting him. That would probably pass over eventually though, and she would no longer feel embarrassed chatting to him. That was the hopeful outcome anyway, for her. She really didn't want to be embarrassed forever, talking to people.
From what Emilia could tell, it seemed like Josh's eyesight was off, or that he couldn't see at all. But she couldn't entirely confirm her theory on that, it was just a guess. If he was blind, she vaguely wondered what had made him blind. But she had no intentions of asking such a personal question already. "My names Emilia Dinklage" She said to Josh. "It is nice to meet you Josh" She said more confidently then when she previously spoke to him. Just because she had the theory he was blind, she didn't try to shake his hand.
"I will be right back...." Emilia said quietly to Josh, and stood up pretty much right as Josh waved the other girl over, and Maisie came back. It was kind of hard to tell if she was leaving because her sister was coming back, or what. It seemed likely. She pretty much just headed to the bathroom to get a little private time at the moment, to think about everything that had just happened and her reactions. But she needed some alone time to think about it, not in a big cafeteria room. Really she didn't know what was up with herself much.
Maisie smiled at her sister as she stood up and walked into the bathroom. She knew that her sister needed some alone time or something, and just left her alone. She got back to the table with a plate of food and sat it down on the table, then sat down herself. To Josh, she said, "She likes you", referring to her sister. She was grinning too, but that wasn't really important. "I know how it goes when my sister likes someone. She did the same with an old neighbor of ours, but instead said something about liking his shoes" She said, just shrugging at the memory. "Sadly the neighbor moved, and you could tell she was down for days." She said with a sigh, remembering how sad her sister seemed. "I think she secretly has a power to detect who is nice though, because the boy was a nice guy" She said with a smile, then said, "So I trust you too, like she does". She really didn't know if he gave a crap about anything she had just said, but she told him anyway.
"Just a warning: Now that you know my sister and she has 'chosen' you as a person of interest, expect her to either try and impress you, not leave you alone, or not know the concept of personal space" She explained, and let out a slight laugh. It was just one of those weird perks about her sister. Everyone had their own personal weird perks, like her own personal perk of being obsessed with referring everything to shows, movies, books, or video games. She figured Josh probably had one too, he just hadn't revealed it yet. "I think one of the reasons she left to be by herself was that she was afraid that you will just move away like the last guy she liked, and she didn't want to really get into that situation again. She probably just worries about becoming really good friends with you, like the last guy, and then you leaving" She explained. "Which makes sense to me" She added.
Mitlos looked at the teacher who spoke to him and nodded. "Yes, they look like an interesting bunch. I can already see many of them succeeding at their abilities, and whatever else they choose to learn" He said to her. He was looking forward to teaching a lot of these people in his class. The history teacher probably could actually teach him some things. Sure, he was good at sword fighting. But that didn't mean he knew every single method of sword fighting out there, and he was always open to learn new ways of teaching his students. And he'd probably even offer her to teach them at some point, even if briefly.
Before Maisie could say hello to the person Josh waved over, the headmistress began to speak. "May I have your attention please?" Amber asked all of the people in the cafeteria, and she waited for the chatter to die down some and for most of the heads to turn her way, so she knew they were actually paying attention. Which Maisie was. Her attention quickly snapped to the Headmistress the second she spoke. Even Emilia came out of the bathroom, but she didn't come back to sit yet. Just watched from a standing position.
After most everyone seemed to be paying attention, or at least pretending they were paying attention, Amber got ready for her speech. "So, first of all, I welcome all of you who are new to this school, and I hope you have a great year at this school" She said, and paused to let people cheer for the newcomers, or whatever the students wanted to do. Or just to let the new students small happily as being welcomed.
"Secondly, I welcome all of the old students back, and hope that you have as great of a year as any previous year you were here. Which was hopefully a great year. We want whats best for the students here" She said, and again paused to let people cheer for the old students, or whatever.
"Thirdly, I would like to introduce the new teachers for this year. Sadly some of our teachers from last year had to leave, but it was for a good reason. They had new career opportunities and so on. You can't always stay in one place forever. As all you older students know from last year, our history and combat teacher left for new jobs. So I will introduce to you the two new teachers" Amber said, pausing to take a breath.
She turned to face Murasame Oshizu, and said. "I welcome the new History teacher, Murasame Oshizu. A round of applause for her please!" She said happily, and clapped for the teacher after speaking. So did pretty much all the other teachers, along with Maisie and Emilia.
She then turned to face Miltos Yerolemou, and said, "I welcome the new Combat Training teacher, Miltos Yerolemou. A round of applause for him please!" She said happily, and clapped for him too, along with all the other teachers. Like before, both Maisie and Emilia started to clap for him, along with a fair amount of the crowd. Miltos bowed to the crowd, then sat back down.
"Now" Amber said, turning back to Murasame Oshizu. "Would you like to introduce yourself in a more formal manner Miss Oshizu, and explain a little about how your class will be and how you will be teaching History?" She asked her. It was just usually what the Teachers did here, where they introduced themselves with a quick story or something. Not that is was necessary, it was just typical.
Maisie and Emilia just kept quiet as to not interrupt the introductions and speech, and focused their full potential on the headmistress and the other teachers.

(Yun) Yun stood there and looked at the guy who approached her and involuntarly stiffened. She watched him for a moment then decided to walk next to him and said "Dangsin-eun nuguyo, yun gim-inga?" she seemed to automaticly think he would speak Korean for some reason. Though it was unusual to speak English for her she could speak it quite well, but quickly got sick of reading it, or any Roman language for that matter, not that she could even read English very well. She eyed the others with suspicion but the Headmisstriss started talking before she really had the chance to voice her feelings, or speak more Korean pretty much just at them considering they likely couldn't speak a word of it themselves. She did straiten her uniform and clapped where appropriate, but seemed far far more enthusiastic than the others, mostly because she learned to clap and cheer loudly for the Communist Party in the DPRK.
(Alan) Alan briefly looked up at the person who was concerned for him and said "M-My power causes bad headaches if I go through metal detectors apparently." he shook his head slightly and said "I'm sorry if I'm being rude, it is just painful." then put his head back on his arms, though not wanting to be rude. When the headmisstriss started talking he shuddered at the cheering and clapping. He didn't really cheer or anything though did note how the headmisstriss made mistakes with the Japanese teacher's name.
(Oshizu) When the headmisstriss introduced her she stood and bowed slightly to the assembled students, the flag on her shoulder waving slightly as she did. She then sat quickly with her swords making small clicks against her chair. She smiled and clapped at the next teacher as he was introduced.
When she was called up to talk about her teaching method she quietly said "My last name is Murasame, not Oshizu." she said it quietly as not to embarrass the headmisstriss. She then looked at the students and said "I am Hakase Murasame." not knowing if anyone would know what hakase ment she quickly added "Professor Murasame, I have a degree in Physiology and History from Tokyo University, my first degree is from 1992, my second was in 1869." she paused for a second every few words and added "English is not native for me, so please forgive any pauses I have to take to translate my thoughts." she thought for a moment and said "Now I know a lot of you aren't that thrilled about history, but I have lived out the last..." she quickly looked at a calendar and muttered something in Japanese about it being 2012 already "277 years of history and my class will be a lot stories from my life. I will probably focus a little too much on the era after the Edo period and before our dishonorable defeat by the United States." she shook her head and muttered "Damn America." she thought and added "Though please note I am a member of the Samurai class, and any bad comments on my armour will be met with immediate decapitation." though it sounded like she was joking, she sounded a little too serious for comfort. She bowed and sat back down.

"I bet your parents gave you more attention and education then mine did," Josh said in a lighthearted way. Though there was a slightly pissed edge to his voice, at the same time. "It seems like you'd be able to get 'proper' socialization while being home-schooled if you went to the right places on weekends. I mean, you don't get to spend every day with your friends at school, but at the same time, you're less likely to have a bad influence from a bunch of jerks," He said. He didn't seem to mind her kind of long speech. "I bet my foster mom will come visit sometime. I bet she'll make a big fuss over me, too," He said with a smile. It was pretty easy to tell that he loved his foster mom, even if she was a little overprotective.
He again didn't show any indication that he noticed Emilia's embarrassment, even though he did. He was good at detecting different emotions and such in people's voices. He vaguely wondered if she thought he was cute. He figured he was probably one of the few people in this place that payed attention to whether or not someone had a good personality, rather then whether or not they looked good. He wondered how old Emilia was. From what he could tell, she was probably in her early teens.
"Nice to meet you, as well, Emilia," Josh said, smiling. He adjusted his glasses, again nearly knocking them off at first. He didn't seem to mind that she didn't offer to shake his hand. Either that or he didn't notice either way. His head was still lowered toward the table. He nodded in a 'OK' way when she said she would be right back.
He just sat there humming and tapping his fingers until Maisie got back. Which then he twitched slightly when she put the plate down on the table. He raised an eyebrow when she said that Emilia liked him, then said,"I'd guessed, but you know, it's not exactly what I'd consider nice to go tell someone that someone else likes them, without the other person's consent." It was hard to tell if he was serious about it, or lighthearted. He raised his head and turned it to where it seemed like he was looking directly at Maisie,"Maybe you should tell her that it's nicer to compliment someone's hair or something, rather then their clothes," He said jokingly. He really figured it probably depended on the person. "Are you sure she didn't have more then a crush on the neighbor?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. He hoped he wasn't getting to personal, but it sounded like it might have been more then a crush to him.
"Trying to impress me is kind of a turnoff, depending on what kind of impressing and how hard she tries," He said, frowning slightly. He was trying to decide if it would be useful to have someone who wouldn't leave him alone, or annoying. He felt like slapping himself for making it sound in his head like he wanted to use her. He frowned and tilted his head so it looked like he was looking down at the table again. "That sounds like more then just a teenage crush to me," He said quietly. "I wouldn't know about that kind of stuff, though. Maybe I just listen to too many audio books," He said the last part jokingly.
When the girl he waved over came over and spoke Korean, he just raised an eyebrow with his head still lowered. "What?" He asked, "I don't speak Korean, sorry." He noticed that she seemed uncomfortable, at least from what he could tell. He wondered if she even knew how to speak English. He hoped so, considering this was an American school.
He just listened to what the headmistress said, and clapped at the right spots. He seemed to pay more attention when Oshizu started talking, though his head was still lowered, which didn't give the impression of paying close attention. He frowned when she muttered 'damn America'. He figured she probably had a reason for not liking America, and wouldn't hold any grudges against her or anything. He himself was American, and there were a lot of things that he didn't like about America. He snorted slightly in a laughing way at the last thing she said,"I don't think that would go well for your job," He said loud enough for her to hear. He himself didn't have an opinion either way on her armor.
(Katelin) Katelin frowned at the boy. "Do you think some aspirin would help? I'm sure you could ask the teachers if they have some. Or maybe there's a nurse here that would have some," She suggested, feeling bad for him. Her own powers could sometime make her eyes feel strained, so she kind of knew what it was like to have powers that hurt. Just not as bad. When the Headmistress made the introductions, she clapped enthusiastically, though she seemed to be holding in her excitement since she was sitting right next to a guy with a big headache.

Maisie smiled, and she noticed the clear edge to his voice, like there was more to it then what he said. But she didn't want to pressure him for any information, since she just met him, and so she kept her mouth shut. She looked thoughtful for a bit, and nodded. "Emilia had a friend any way, so yeah" She said. "I think for me it was more like I'd rather focus on other things. Though, Emilia had a friend and seems to be more intelligent then me, so....I guess you could say I'm more of the lazy type" She said with a chuckle. "Yeah. Mainly avoiding getting a bad influence from jerks is nice" She said. She let out a laugh and smiled at him. "At least she loves you" She said with a smile, which he may of noticed by her tone of voice.
Josh's theory on her thinking that he was cute would be right, but that wasn't her only reason for complimenting him like that. Like Maisie says in the future, it's like she can detect the boys that are nice. Maybe it's some sort of ability of hers that isn't really noticeable? Or maybe her electrical abilities can sense 'good' or 'bad' vibes in people or something. Who knows. But so far her choices of people to compliment like that haven't been bad.
Maisie let out a chuckle. "Oh, don't worry about that. If anything, she will thank me for telling you that. She thanked me the last time I told someone. Honestly, I expected to be torn to pieces by my sister. I was just messing with her, because that's what siblings seem to do, but instead I was thanked for what I did. It actually made me happy though. I didn't really want to intentionally hurt my sisters feelings" She explained. She watched Josh seem to attempt to look at her, and laughed at what he said. "Yeah, maybe I should. But I bet you anything she'd feel even more embarrassed if she complimented your hair or something" She said with a slight chuckle. At what Josh said, she was kind of wondering the same thing herself. "I don't honestly know. I've wondered the same thing myself. Usually if there's something she wants to tell someone, she tells it to me because she trusts me the most. But she never really told me either way, and I haven't nagged her to know either way" She said.
"I don't think it will be the kind of impressing you think. It will probably be more like, her just being nice to you. And in her mind, it might just be perfectly normal. But to you the way she's being nice might seem like she is trying to impress you, or something. It shouldn't be as irritating as some of these girls here might be" She said, lowering her voice when she said the last part. "I think you might be right, though I don't even think she was a teenager yet. It was probably one of those cute young love relationships that seem to be so much more real then long-term married couples" She joked. She laughed at what he said. "Hey, I watch way too many movies, shows, and play way too many video games. So don't feel bad" She said to him.
Maisie smiled at the girl who spoke Korean. "Please go ahead and sit down" She offered kindly, smiling at her again. Or, she never stopped smiling. She noticed that she seemed uncomfortable too, and that is why she wouldn't pressure her to sit down if she didn't want to. If she really had just come from Korea too, this was probably a pretty big culture shock for her. Though, she didn't honestly know how much different Korea was from America. She had heard that there's really not much of a culture shock when you travel to New Zealand from America, so she didn't really know how much different a lot of countries might be from America. Some were obviously going to be a big culture shock though.
Both Emilia and Maisie mostly listened to what the first teacher who spoke said. Both Emilia and Maisie actually liked History, and Emilia even more so. Probably because Emilia preferred education over all more so then Maisie. She was a straight-A student at home after all, and was hoping to be the same here. They both sort of figured that she was probably immortal, since she was talking about living out the last 277 years. Which was awesome in both of their opinions. Maisie actually laughed out loud at the mention of damn Americans, since she honestly agreed with that an awful lot of the time. Emilia just grinned, but didn't actually laugh. Some people in the audience seemed to shift uncomfortably at both "Damn Americans" and what she said last. "I hope that was actually a joke" Maisie said out loud to the people that were around her. Emilia just kept quiet from her position against the wall.
Amber looked embarrassed for a brief second at what she said, and nodded. "Sorry for that. I will get it right next time" She quietly said to Oshizu. After that, she just quietly listened to her speech, trying to take everything in. At the last part she twitched uncomfortably, and laughed uncomfortably, but seemed to just take it as a joke and thought nothing more on that subject. "Great speech by miss Osh-er, Murasame! Give her a round of applause!" The Headmistress said to the students enthusiastically. It was followed by a lot of clapping in the crowd, including from Emilia and Maisie. Even Miltos clapped for her.
"Now, Miltos Yerolemou, would you like to introduce yourself?" Amber asked him, and he nodded. She gestured for the crowd to quiet down again, and he stood up to get ready to speak to all the students. He looked rather awesome, and kind of gave you the impression of him being a nice, cool guy. Sure, he was a little to the point, but at the same time he was a nice guy who just tried to teach you a lot quickly, you could say.
"My name is Miltos Yerolemou" Miltos said in a rather awesome accent I don't know where it's from or how to describe it. "I will be your dancing master, the art of archery master, and your gun master" He commented, probably confusing people why he was a Combat Trainer and said "Dancing master". Some people may be able to figure it out though, and they'd figure out that he just referred to sword fighting as "Dancing". "Whoever attends my class will be training hard, and will learn many things" He said in that same awesome accent. "That is about all you need to know" He said, and sat down again.
"What a great speech! Give our new combat teacher a round of applause!" Amber said, clapping herself and being rather overly enthusiastic about everything. The crowd started to clap for him like they did the other teacher, and like before, so did Emilia and Maisie.
"Did you hear his accent?!" Maisie said enthusiastically to the others around her. "That was the most awesome accent I have ever heard! I'm so looking forward to combat class now!" She said excitedly. "He didn't give a huge speech, but I get the impression just by his looks that he will be an entertaining guy to be trained by. I like how he referred to sword fighting as dancing. That's different. Emilia should like that. She likes to dance and sword fight" She commented, right as Emilia came back.
"Hello sis" Maisie said to Emilia, and Emilia smiled at Maisie, then smiled shyly at Josh, and waved at the newcomer, if she was still there. "How has everything been?" She asked quietly, not really seeming to care what Maisie just said, or she didn't notice. "Good" Maisie said simply, and said no more.

Yun looked at the guy and said "My name is Kim Yun, what is yours?" she naturally had a very heavy Korean accent, and it would occasionally make her words hard to understand. She looked at the girl with slightly narrowed eyes and said "No, thank you." and crossed her arms. Her uniform was a testament to how different their cultures were, North Korea would conscript a 16 year old girl while the United States wouldn't even allow one in their army. She also looked at them without one once of trust in her eyes, she knew that Americans hated the 'Great' DPRK. Her hatred of the United States was almost transparent, and it could be seen festering in her eyes. She strained her uniform slightly as she glared at them, though not in an angry way.
As Oshizu talked she had a glare of hatred toward her, her people, the Imperial Japanese, had occupied her homeland and oppressed her people. She shook her head at most of her speech, Korean history had focused on the time in the 1900s during the rise of the DPRK, and she felt like she knew history. She actually slightly nodded at her saying 'damn America' and muttered "Eojjeomyeon geunyeoneun geuleohge nappeuji anhseubnida." (maybe she isn't that bad) but raised her eyebrow at Maisie said and said "You Americans deployed atomic weapons on her peoples cities, and likely killed a great deal of her friends. She should hate America, I mean you killed millions of them in the war, the one she probably fought in."
She cheered for the combat teacher at a ridiculously loud volume, very happy that someone could tech her about guns again. She seemed rather confused and asked "Why does he teach dancing as well?" because she was a non native English speaker she didn't get that he didn't mean it literally. She rolled her eyes at the overly happy girl and asked "Have you ever even fired a gun?"
(Oshizu) Oshizu smiled at the headmisstress and said "It is a common western mistake, you should have been there when the black fleet arrived, very confusing." though the event happened in the 1850s she acted as if it was like last year. She bowed as the students clapped for her, and smiled slightly at them, though it looked more like a smirk. She quickly sat back down after she was done, and clapped for the other teacher, wondering if he would accept her help if they were not too busy, to show students how to swordfight.
(Alan) Alan frowned and shook his head at Katelin while saying "No, no, that won't help, problem in pain possessing centre, my brain, it isn't like yours, part fiber optic, makes me think faster. I could be killed by an MRI though." he talked like quick like Mordin in Mass Effect, but at the same time showed he was in pain. He just clutched his head as the teachers spoke, but understood the Japanese word Oshizu said when she was speaking. By the time the combat teacher was talking his headache was starting to subside, and he managed to clap lightly, though it wasn't without effort or pain. He said "Combat, so uncivilized, why can't we just all fight with words rather than armies?"

Josh nodded slightly,"I didn't say you couldn't make friends. You just don't make as many, and are less likely to be able to see them everyday, which in my opinion neither of those is a problem." He tapped his fingers on the table slightly as he thought, then said,"I bet you are both equally intelligent in different ways." He nodded and smiled, though he had his head lowered so it might have been slightly hard to see. "Not having the influence of jerks is always good." At the next thing she said, he did a kind of quick half smile,"Yeah."
He smiled, then said,"You two must get along well. I mean, even if you two fight, I picture it usually being playfully." He sounded slightly sad as he spoke, as if he wished he had a sibling like that. He nodded slightly, then said,"I guess complimenting clothes is kind of like complimenting someone's sense of style, so it still works. I could see why it would be more embarrassing to compliment people's hair or whatever. I only compliment people's personalities," That may have sounded a little rude, like he couldn't care less about people looks...which honestly he couldn't, but he had a good reason for that.
He nodded slightly, then said,"I think you kind of lost me there, though I think I understand what you're talking about," In a lighthearted way. He 'glanced' around the room, though it served no purpose, and said,"I don't think many of the girls that would be annoying would have an interest in me." He nodded slowly and frowned, "To bad love doesn't last longer then it usually does."
Josh turned his head toward the Korean girl, though it kind of seemed like he wasn't really looking at her. "I'm Josh Winchester. It's nice to meet you..." He trailed off, not sure whether to call her Yun or Kim. He didn't seem affected by her glaring at them in any way, probably because he didn't notice, though he did hear the mistrust in her voice. He turned his head back toward the table and hoped that, for her sake, she would get more comfortable here.
At what Yun said to Maisie, he said,"Some Americans, maybe, but not all Americans are like that. That was also years ago, I honestly think blaming newer generations for what happened years ago is just silly."
He twitched when she cheered really loud, and it kind of acted like it either startled him, or hurt his ears, if not both. "I think he's referring to sword fighting as dancing," He said, strangely kind of quietly. "I look forward to the sword fighting and the archery. I couldn't care less about guns." There was a sadness in his voice as he spoke, and it sounded as if he didn't expect to actually end up being in that class, no matter how much he wanted to. He was actually thinking that the headmistress was kind of annoying with all her overly happiness, but he kept that to himself.
{Katelin} "Maybe one of the teachers can help somehow," Katelin said to Alan. "I hope it gets better for you as you get better at your power or something, it would suck for you to have a headache all the time." She kind of seemed like one of those overly happy, overly nice people, but that wasn't really a bad thing. She nodded to the last thing Alan said,"Yeah, I wish. I wonder if I can skip out on combat class."

Maisie nodded in agreement. "I completely agree. Honestly, I completely agree with what my mom told me before. She told me that the best friends are the ones that you, say, don't talk to for months, or even a year, then you decide to call them and they talk to you like you just talked yesterday, despite the fact it has been months or even years. And that your acquaintances, or not true, really good friends are the ones you call after a week and are like "Dude, why haven't you called? It's been a week", or something along those lines" She said. She nodded, and said, "I think you are probably right. In a way, I think games, shows, and movies can educate you. Like I've learned a fair amount about guns from games, at least name-wise and what they do, the different scopes, and so on. I've also learned some about sword fighting from shows and movies, just by watching the actors or actress' doing the sword fighting, and even teaching each other in the shows or movies. And many other things. Especially if you play educational games" She said, letting out a big burst of breath at all the speaking. It seemed she was the type who liked to explain things in big detail, as he probably noticed. "If anything, I'd rather stop the jerks or bullies from being jerks or bullies, or both, if I can" She said with a sigh, shaking her head at some of the memories of idiots that she had encountered. Nothing bad happened, though, thankfully.
"Yeah. I don't think we've had a real fight in years. If I recall, we even jokingly argued heading to this Cafeteria. Can't recall what about though. Sometimes sibling arguing is entertaining" Maisie said, smiling. She was so glad to have a sister that she loved so much, and one that wasn't an ass. She noticed how he sounded sad, and said, "Hey, I'm sure someday you will have a friend that you can feel like you have a brotherly or sisterly friendship with. Hell, maybe it will be one of us" She finished jokingly. "That makes sense. Personalities can really be the downside of someone or the upside. I usually only compliment personalities too, though I'm not known for complimenting people much at all. No offense to anyone or anything, I just never really feel the need to compliment someone, or haven't had the need to" She said.
Maisie just laughed at what Josh said about losing her there, and jokingly said, "Good". She shrugged. "Probably not. Hopefully not. I've already seen boys glancing my way, and it's creeping me out" She said quietly. "Yeah....." She said with a sigh and a shake of her head. It really did suck how short-lived relationships were sometimes. It really did seem to her that sometimes the sweet, innocent love relationships when you were a teenager were much more real then later in your 20's, and beyond. At least some of the times.
Being Maisie, she thought the heavy Korean accent was actually really awesome. She just listened to the introductions, not feeling the need to join in. "Okay...." She said defensively to Yun's response to what she asked, and put her arms in the air while she spoke. While the girl seemed kind of....annoyed or something at them, or just untrusting, she just fiddled with her fork from her meal until more speaking started.
"I agree with Josh, but I will definitely not praise my country for what they did. It was completely wrong, and cruel, and America has done many cruel things. Our very existence on this land mass was quite the cruel process, honestly. America has done so many wrong things, but so has a lot of other countries" Maisie said with a sigh. "And I was referring to the decapitation part, not the "Damn Americans" part. I just laughed at that" She said.
Maisie seemed kind of bothered by the loud shouting too, but only minorly. "Yeah. I don't entirely know why he's referring to it as dancing, but it's different and cool anyway. I can't wait for class now" She said, sort of jumping in her seat in excitement. She kind of acted like a little kid when it came to the idea of sword fighting, especially with this teacher, apparently. "Same here. I'd rather learn archery and sword fighting, even if shooting off guns is logically more useful. I don't really care all that much. I prefer to do what I enjoy over shooting guns just because it's the 'logical' thing to learn" She said. She noticed the sadness in Josh's voice, but couldn't figure out why he would sound sad, and said nothing on the subject either. "I have actually. Not often, but I have. I just prefer archery and sword fighting. They are more fun if you ask me" She said to Yun.
Emilia just sat quietly at the table right now, listening to them talk instead of saying anything herself. She couldn't really think of anything to say, and she felt a little shy right now anyway. So instead she just looked around the room and listened to Yun, Maisie, and Josh.
Amber, Miltos, and the other various teachers/important people talked about random stuff at the 'Hogwarts'-styled teacher set up in the Cafeteria/Great Hall, whatever Maisie would probably refer to it as. They spoke about various plans for their classes, and experiences they had in their lives. Maybe even some more adult things that weren't appropriate for the students to hear. The students talked about other various things, from the hottest girls or boys they've seen so far, to talking about their rock collections. The mass amount of varying conversations was always interesting to Amber, even if some might not be appropriate discussions. Not that she was or could spy on any of the conversations anyway, she just knew how schools worked a lot of times.

Yun bowed to Josh and said "Good to meet you Winchester." she said it as if it was his first name, naturally thinking that he used the same style of naming she did, she wasn't ignorant, she didn't even know western people said their names 'backward' to her. She tilted her head and said "Kim Yun." when he didn't say her name, afraid he didn't hear her. She thought that these Americans kind of looked similar to each other, more than Koreans did anyway. She looked at the girl and asked "Your name?" she usually kept her sentences short as to not screw up with her relatively new English, and this was the most she had ever used or heard it.
Yun glared at Josh and said "She said America, not American, she can blame the country, she isn't blaming the people. I mean if you killed off the DPRK you bet the survivors would never stop killing you." she spoke fairly slowly, each word said like it was hard to pronounce. She opened a notepad and said "I knew this would come up, the United States killed 550,000 thousand native Americans when you colonized this land, in the war you killed 3,125,000 Japanese in that war. I'm just saying." she showed them her notepad, it was all in Korean so it wouldn't make any sense to them. She shrugged and said "Japs are weird."
She nodded to Jake and said "I guess that makes sense, it is hard to understand, your language is weird." she rolled her eyes at Maisie and said "Would you be quiet please, you are acting immature." she rolled her eyes and said "Well I hope you bring a lot of bows and arrows to our grand reunifucation with the south, seriously jeogeon tto mwoya? You would prefer to learn something that you like more than something that could help your nation?" her culture was highly milliterised of course, 33% of the Korean population was in the military. She shook her head and said "Killing people who argue against the Great Leader is much better than shooting targets."
(Alan) Alan nodded and said "Yeah I hope so too, I wonder what it will be like to not even have a small headache." he smiled at her kindness and asked "What is your power, is it ever painful for you?" he seemed like he wanted to get to know her. His computer like brain quickly determined that she would be considered attractive and smiled slightly as he ran additional calculations. He took 8.672 seconds to respond to the last thing she said "I hope so too."
