Battlestar Yashuman and Airgroup, Caprican Orbit Yashuman, Valkrie, and their airgroups moved toward the baseships that were moving in on Caprica, their guns lining up to fire. The XO of Yashuman called to their CAG "Prepare to engage the baseships forward flight." the CAG called back "No joy Yashuman, no joy, we need one to get our systems checked." the XO called back "Negative, there are tosters big as frakin asteroids, and they ain't carrying flowers." the CAG said back "Wait one Yashuman." the XO desperately called back "We don't have one!" right as the ships lost power from Cylon infiltration. Pilots called out desperately as their ships drifted away from one and other, and they watched helplessly as Cylon raiders closed in. Raiders and Baseships fired rockets and obliterated the Caprican Defence force, then baseships started to fire their nuclear rockets into Caprica. As atomic fire consumed billions of lives the simple phrase rang true, war had begun.
Scorpia Fleet Shipyards The Coronis was a buzz of activity, there was no doubt the shipyards were under attack, but the forces seemed rather pre-occupied with the actual military units, rather than a civilian ship. Alan was on the bridge watching the displays with shock and horror, he knew he had to do something and called out "Get our drives spooled up to jump. Tell any ship that can get here within five minutes to land on our flight deck." though his yacht was no Battlestar it did have a fully equipped flight deck built to launch their private security fighters. A handful of older Vipers and Raptors limped over to Coronis, trying to evade Cylon units as they did. The ship's jump drives were ready just as a flight of raiders moved to intercept it, and promptly flashed out of existence, and back into existence in dead space, where most ships didn't go, counting on the lack of traffic to mean no Cylons in this area. Alan looked at his Executive Officer, a cute Asian looking young woman, and asked "What in the name of the Gods just happened?" she shook her head and said "I have no idea sir, no idea." he sighed and said "Launch our attack craft, set up a combat air patrol, and send our Raptors and Cylon War Raiders out to find other civilian ships and bring them here." the XO nodded and put her headset on saying "This is the Executive Officer..."
Battlestar Galactica "That the frak?" asked the commander to the person who handed him the report. He walked over to a console and personally verified that this was happening, that there really was a Cylon attack against them, that seemed unbelievable to him. The other numbers were even more shocking, more than a third of the colonial had been totally wiped out. He picked up a microphone and addressed the crew " This is the commander. Moments ago, this ship received word of a Cylon attack against our home worlds is underway. We do not know the size or the disposition or the strength of the enemy forces. But all indications point to a massive assault against Colonial defenses. Admiral Nagala has taken personal command of the fleet aboard the battlestar Atlantia, following complete destruction of Picon Fleet Headquarters in the first wave of the attacks. How, why, does really matter now? What does matter is that, as of this moment, we are at war. You've trained for this. You're ready for this. Stand to your duties, we will get revenge, those who do not follow orders will be summary executed. Further updates if nessiary." he then turned to his Executive Officer and said "We need something to shoot with, get me lists of munitions depots that aren't swarmed in toasters. Also get my CAG up here once you have found us a good depot."
Tabitha Tabitha had been walking through the halls toward the hanger deck, she was going to be offloading a Raptor back to Scorpio fleet shipyards, and getting transferred the the Atlantia. She had planned to meet her brother there, and enjoy her day off with him on Caprica with the beauty of FTL drives. She stopped when she heard the commander address the crew, listening intently to him talking. She gasped when she heard the news, and tears started to sting in her eyes, she had friends in the fleet, and if there had been major hits against colonial defences then Scorpio was out for the count. She prayed to the gods that her brother didn't arrive early for their meeting, the rest of her family didn't matter half as much to her as her beloved little brother. After a minute she started walking toward the hanger again, she couldn't let down her shipmates, especially when they were going through the same shit.

Aurora stared at the Commander as he started making the announcement. She slowly put her hand up to her mouth in a shocked way as she listened. She then lowered her hand, took a few deep breaths and straightened up. She gave a nod and a salute when he told her to look for munition depots, then said,”Yes, Sir,” Before jogging off to do what she was told.
“Your CAG is already here,” came a slightly breathless voice from a doorway. Jake, also known as 'Carnage' stood there, looking like he had probably just run all the way from the docking bay. He took a few deep breaths, bending over and resting his hands on his knees before straightening up and giving a slight salute. “Is there something you need, Sir?” He asked, his voice wavering slightly. He was military, and had been for a while, and he was good at focusing on the job at hand, but it had all been in theory before, and he found his thoughts straying to his girlfriend, who lived on Caprica, and had no reason to be elsewhere. He immediately tried to focus his thoughts back to the task at hand, he could grieve for her later.
Aurora came jogging back shortly later,”The Ragnar Anchorage has plenty of munitions, and I've seen no reports of toasters in the area.” She gave a nod to Jake, who gave her a quick salute.

Marissa Marissa was busy strengthening her legs so she could handle the hard G force better then she currently could. Not that she was terrible with it, since she had been working on a farm her whole life and got in good shape because of it, along with practicing flying before, but she wasn't perfect, and was working up her leg strength even more. There wasn't really anything else to do currently, because it was fairly calm.
Then, she stopped as soon as she heard the message come up. Her first reaction was to gasp. She pushed herself up, and started to pace around the room she was in as the message went on. She was worried about her family. A day after she leaves them, they might possibly be killed during a Cylon invasion? That was very unpleasing to her. Obviously. She had this feeling that she was going to start to get very busy the next few days, right as she gets here and hasn't got any of the truly professional training yet. With her dad, sure, she got taught well. But she wasn't actually getting the real military training. Now, as soon as she gets here, she needs to get into a real world situation. The last part of what the Commander said though displeased her, even though she didn't exactly expect to have to be worried about it, since she had definite plans to keep up with her work.
She took a deep breath to calm herself down, and headed out the door and down to the docking bay, because she expected that she would need to be at the ready to follow orders, in case the Cylon's attacked them, or something else. When she was down there, she kept fighting to keep back how nervous she felt, and how worried she was. At the same time, she was fighting the urge to cry, and was keeping that back as well. What she did when she was down there was examine her own Viper, which Maynard and parts of his crew had moved on from.
Irene Irene was at her usual station, where she was in charge of communications. She was just looking at some various things when she heard the Commander start his speech. Hearing that made her go wide-eyed and gasp, then put a hand to her mouth. It seemed like she couldn't believe it. That big of a Cylon attack? This day just got as terrible as any day possibly could. Her mind instantly wandered to her family, and she blinked back her tears so she didn't just completely break down in front of the CAG, XO, Commander, and pretty much everyone else important that was in this room. After a little bit, she shook her head and got back to work, trying her best just not to think about it right now.
Maynard Maynard was busy doing maintenance on some Vipers. He had his people working, and he was working as well. He was just doing typical maintaining on them, giving them a check up and such to make sure they were still working properly. Marissa's in particular, the newest arrival of the Vipers (I assume), was interesting to inspect because it was rather old. Older then any in here as far as he knew. It had some parts that he wasn't used to because they were older, but all he had to do was spend a little extra time getting used to it and he and his crew could handle it like any normal problem. And being her ship, some of the things related to it were more....alarming. Some of the parts looked rather old and weak, but some others looked rather new like they had been upgraded within the last few years. It seemed like an odd mix. He would ask Marissa at some point if she wanted him to completely renovate the old parts inside and replace them with new parts, but right now his goal was just to make sure it was in as good shape as you could get it.
Then, the broadcast came over the systems. He motioned for all of his peeps to stop working and listen to the message, because it was respectful to listen when the Commander spoke. And the broadcast sounded rather important anyway. Hearing the message however, put him in to a temporary state of shock. Cylon attack? To make it even worse, it sounded like a pretty damn serious attack too. All of his crew was pretty much in the same state, and he heard gasps, and saw people putting their hands to their mouths in shock. All he ended up doing was waving and ordering all of his crew to get back to work, which they did, though they all had a mixture of emotions screwing with their job now.

The CIC The commander looked at his CAG, he heard the waver in his voice, and said "Don't break down on me, we all have families, and yes they are probably dying as we speak, but we are still expected to do our jobs. I have a teenage daughter on Libris right now, and my husband is on Picon, my parents were killed in the first cylon war, I know what it is like to hate the cylon for what they have done. Do not falter or fail, we will have our revenge." he seemed to be addressing the entire crew rather than just his CAG, that was also probably the most he ever talked about his family to the crew, he had shared a little with his XO but he had never mentioned his parents. He then walked over toward the flight board as he thought about what to do with his fighters "I know we shipped out most of our mark sevens this morning, it is my understanding that we only have eight working fighters, including the one that farmer brought aboard. However I want you to get down to the hanger and tell the chief to get off his lazy ass and get some of the mark twos working." he then looked back to his XO and said "Plot a jump directly there, hurry it up too, we are sitting ducks right now." he then glanced back to his CAG "I want your vipers ready as soon as possible, get ready to deploy five fighters and a raptor above the cloud cover at Ragnar."
Hanger Deck Tabitha looked at the deck hands as she was walking along to her Raptor, and gave them all a quick nod as she went by. She found her bird and started to check it our, sure she trusted the deck gang, but you could never be too safe. As she worked she thought about her family on Libris, she knew they had vaults and stuff to hide in, and personal starships to evacuate themselves on. Her brother had cylon fighters and mercs to assist him in defending himself. She found herself whispering "Lords of Kobol, hear my prayers, please protect my family from the horror that is to come, and allow me to unite with my brother Alan Hyperion."
Coronis The Coronis was still, motionless in space, as a handful of small transports and people movers crowded around it. The commander of the small fleet sat in a command chair on the CIC. As opposed to Battlestars his ship was built for comfort of the commander. The control panels were in trenches beneath the walkway that lead to the chair. His XO had one too, just behind him. He loved watching space, especially with ships in it, or at least he normally did, now he couldn't even look up from his post. He sighed deeply and put his headset on, looking down at his comm officers, a young woman who had connections with the Ha'la'tha, a mafia who his family's company worked with. She looked up at him and pressed a series of buttons connecting him to the encrypted military channels then said "Battlestar Galactica, this is the Hyperion ship Coronis, please respond."

Jake listened to what the Commander said, then kind of straightened up more and said,"With all due respect, sir, I can't, and won't, just shut off my emotions like you seem to want. I won't fail my job, but you'll just have to deal with my emotions." The straightening up seemed to be a sign of when he was in his 'defy authority' kind of mood, even if it was only slightly. He followed the Commander over to the flight board. He listened to his orders, then said,"Yes, sir," before picking up the phone and saying,"All pilots, report to the Pre-flight briefing room." He decided he'd tell Chief Winslow to get some of the Mark IIs working when they were ready to take off, since they'd already be in one of the hangars, anyway. After giving his order, he darted off to get to the Pre-flight briefing room.
Aurora gave a nod, then said,"I assume you want us to jump outside the storm, sir. It's to dangerous to jump inside. If we miss the funnel leading to Ragnar, we'll be lost in the storm." She then went on to quickly start plotting a jump to right outside the storm, feeling slightly nervous because this was her first real jump beyond training and practice. If she got it even slightly wrong....She tried not to think about it, and focused on the work.

Marissa As soon as the order came across the comm's, she was on the move to the pre-flight briefing room, and rather quickly at that. She was small and agile, because she was in shape. Though, she was obviously not the fastest, but she still got around quickly, and could squeeze through groups of people like it was nothing.
It didn't take her much time at all to get there, and she was the first into the room, though another person came in not long after her. She sat down and waited for the CAG to arrive, and for the rest of the people to file in. Truthfully, she was a little nervous, because this was one of her first briefings ever, being here for only a day and all. She hoped everything would go okay, and she wouldn't act too nervous. Not that it mattered that much, since she didn't really expect to be addressed. Except maybe to be referred to as 'new girl', or some mention of how she doesn't have a callsign yet. But that was about all she could think of.
Irene Irene was half paying attention to the conversation going on with the CAG and the Commander, and half zoning out, when she was interrupted with a sign of a call. She instantly snapped out of her trance, and got back to being all serious and down-to-business. Picking up the old school-looking phone, she responded.
'Coronis, this is Galactica. What is it you need?' Irene asked as professionally as possible, expecting the typical 'I would like to talk to your Commander' response, to which she'd tell the Commander that, and it would be followed by 'send them over to the lines', and she'd do that, just like she had done many times before.

The Commander The Commander nodded to his CAG "Just do your job, that's what matters." He then turned to his Executive Officer and said "Indeed, just outside the storms. Then launch the Combat Air Patrol to alert us if any of the Cylons get close to us while we transfer over ammo. Once we have the ammo loaded I want to plan hit and run attacks on the Cylon forces. See to it personally that the munitions are loaded properly, got it Aurora?"
Tabitha Tabitha Hyperion took off like a bullet toward the briefing room, she was rather quick on her feet, plus the briefing room was close to the hanger, where she had been. She nervously pulled out a cigarette, hand rolled Caprican, she knew the crew liked her about as much as they did the XO, being that they both got their ranks through political favors, not time and hard work. She offered a cigarette to the person next to her, Marissa if she wasn't mistaken, after she lit her own and took some gentle puffs. She simply said "Frak." probably summing up everyone's feeling.
Comms The annoyed voice on the other side of the line said "Don't play this game Irene, just patch me through to the commander, we both know how these things work. Before you ask, we met when I toured the ship with my sister, Tabitha, callsign Artemis. I have civilians that need protection, so please by the Gods just patch me through."

Jake walked to the front of the pre-flight briefing room, not bothering with the whole 'attention on deck' or whatever thing. He figured there were bigger concerns at the moment. "Alright. Unless you all were sleeping during the announcement, you know that we are at war with the Cylons. That means you need to be on the top of your game, Ok? You've all trained for this, you're ready, you just can NOT let nerves or emotions mess with your flying, got it? Now, enough with the speeches. I need 5 viper pilots and one Raptor pilot for the CAP, which to those of you who are new," He looked at Marissa,"That is the Combat Air Patrol. So, on to the pilots. Artemis, you will be flying the raptor. Penikett, Hotshot, Ghost, Sulfur, you will be flying the vipers. Will be on PATROL, remember that. We will be there to keep a lookout only. We have no ammo, so no one attempt any heroics." He stepped down from the podium thing and said,"Get moving! The rest of you, be ready in case we need more pilots." He then started heading out of the room to get in his pilot outfit.
(Aurora) Aurora nodded, then saluted,"Yes, sir," She said, then quickly but carefully plotted the jump. After a bit she said,"We have the jump co-ordnance. We're ready to start the jump sequence on your mark, sir." She seemed to be doing well at focusing on the job, and not thinking about family and all the people dying on the colonies. She may have been young to be an XO, but she was a good, strong, soldier.

Marissa watched Tabitha sit down next to her, then offer her a cigarette. She shook her head. "I don't smoke" She said. Though, even if she didn't smoke, she did drink. People from Aerilon were known for their ability to drink, and she was definitely one of them. Still, she didn't typically drink too much. Mostly exactly what it says the Aerilonians enjoyed: A pint or two of ale. But, even then, if it came to it, she could likely beat some of the 'tough boys' in a drinking game. With some of the drunk people in that game would probably find hilarious, having the short, small girl kick the ass of the big, tough, buff guys in a drinking game. When Tabitha said frak, she just nodded, pretty much thinking it summed up the whole situation quite well.
When the CAG came in, she started to stand up just out of instinct, until she realized he didn't say 'attention on deck'. She glanced around her, then feeling slightly embarrassed, sat back down. Then, she just went on to silently listening to the CAG. When he said they needed to be on the top of their game, she needed and swallowed nervously. Only because, no matter what, she was afraid of facing the real situations that would occur, and likely involve her getting shot at. She nodded again. That was one thing her grandfather had trained her with. He had put her through some emotional tests, by showing her something depressing, or something that would put you in a bad mood, then had her fly. Or, when she was having a bad day, he told her to fly anyway instead of giving up for the day, so she could get used to flying with emotions and nerves. Of course, the training didn't quite prepare you for your whole family being dead, plus billions of other people. But, she still felt like she could keep the emotions back fairly well. When he addressed her, she just nodded, even though she had already learned what that meant on her own. Now when she was picked as one of the people to go out on the patrol, she seemed surprised. It was weird being called by her last name, too. Someone else seemed to have a problem with that decision too, and mentioned his complaints as soon as Jake finished his sentence.
'Wait, we are working with the new girl? She barely has any experience here. Do you really want to risk her possibly frakking up the whole mission because of the lack of experience?' Hotshot chimed in, which he got a quick glare from Marissa in response, but she wasn't going to argue, especially right now. 'Don't you think we should have someone more experienced on this mission?' He said, to which only about 1 or 2 of the other pilots nodded in agreement. 'Besides: She doesn't even look like she'd have the strength to push the pedals down. I mean look at her" He added, and he got a quick glare from her again. Apparently Hotshot was kind of a douche. Another pilot thought of adding something, but figured it was best for the CAG to get on his case. Marissa had started to get ready to leave, but didn't quite leave yet because she wanted to hear what Jake had to say about Hotshot.
Irene 'Just doing my job" Irene said with a sigh. But, after she finished speaking, she looked over at the Commander. "Coronis wants to speak with you sir" She said, and as she said that, she patched the chat through to the Commander's phone, figuring it would be the typical 'yes' response from the beginning. If not, it was easy enough to transfer back.

The Commander The Commander looked at his XO and said "Hold jump, let me take this call, then start the countdown once I'm done." he picked up the phone and said "This is Galactica actual." then nodded slowly and said "Civilians you say, how many? Well are you armed? Good, ok, Ragnar, spin up your drives and jump immediately. Yes your welcome, just get here at once, we need to keep you safe, our ship will do its best to guard you." he then hung up his phone and very quietly said "Executive Officer, get teams of marines and engineers together, only people who you know are loyal. We will strip those Civilians for parts, after all military needs must come first. We will also conscript some of their people." he then returned no normal volume and said "Begin Jump Sequence, XO, count us down." he watched her, he knew she was loyal, but everyone had limits to their loyalty.
Tabitha Like Marissa Tabitha stood, and gave a crisp salute, causing one of the pilots near her to mutter "Academy prick." he didn't even seem to notice it and just sat once more, listening to the CAG intently. She, unlike the girl next to her, had learned from the best instructors in the worlds, and could fly a raptor in her sleep. As Hotshot ran his mouth Tabitha stood up and stretched, assuming they were talking about her, she had only been there a couple of days after all. She turned to him and said "I would lay off if I was you. I know people, people who really know how to hurt someone, so why don't you just shut the Frak up, before I have your knees broken. Besides, I was trained at the most prestigious academies of the worlds. If anything I should be wondering why I have to go with a jerk like you, who would question orders of his superior officer." she then smirked and waited for the response from the CAG because she wanted to see him flailed for that comment.

Jake stopped short when he heard Hotshot spoke. He then calmly walked over to Hotshot, grabbed him by the front of his Flight Suit and heaved him to his feet before looking him in the eyes,"She wouldn't be here if she wasn't experienced enough for this! She's a pilot, and she won't get better without experience, and it's sir to you. You do NOT get to bully her around because she's new! She can fly, and she can fly well, or else she would not have been chosen to fly on a Galactica! Now shut your trap, and do as I tell you. My word is LAW to you, got that?" He then shoved Hotshot back in his seat and addressed Tabitha,"Calm yourself. He wasn't even talking about you. I won't stand for you threatening my Pilots, even if they are being rude, got that?" He said sternly, before turning to address the whole room,"I told you to GET MOVING! All of you, out! You risk the lives of everyone on this ship for such a stupid thing as this? OUT," With that, he shoo'd them as if they were annoying animals, and walked off. Clearly that was one of his 'putting them in their place' moments.
(Aurora) Aurora nodded when he said to hold the jump, then stood quietly while he took the call. At what he told her to do, she just kind of stared at him at first. "What about the people you don't conscript, Sir?" She asked. She then gave the command to start the jump before heading off to find people she knew would never harm a civilian, even if they had to spark a mutiny to avoid it. She was thinking that if the human race was to survive, a mutiny might be needed.

Hotshot just laughed at Tabitha's threats, when he realized he was being lifted to his feet by his shirt by the CAG. At what Jake said to him, he seemed to just be in a state of shock, and he blinked. He couldn't think of anything to say, and just nodded, then fell back into his seat. He did smirk vaguely when Tabitha was getting a 'beat down' for her comments too. As soon as he told them to get out, and scolded them all, he was pretty much out the door, angry, without a word.
Marissa Marissa had only partly listened to the scolding of Artemis and Hotshot, and had slowly walked towards the door while they got in trouble. So by the time he ordered them to get moving again, and for them to get out, she was literally at the door, and in the process of stepping out of it. Unlike Hotshot, his scolding didn't make her angry, and she understood it. And since she was right at the door, it only took her about a second to be out of it after his last part he said. But on her way to getting suited up and heading to her Viper, Hotshot shoved past her, knocking her off balance. Though, she had good balance now, so it only took her a bit to regain her balance. She shot a glare at his back, and then headed off to get suited and heading to her Viper. If she knew what the Commander had ordered just now though, she would likely be pissed. And she wasn't entirely an easy person to fully piss off. But thankfully for her focus, she didn't know a word about what was going on.
Irene Irene was just watching the whole scene, and hearing what she could. Which wasn't much, really. If she knew what was going on though, she might say something. Though, she was one to follow orders more. She would give a quick opinion on it, though, if she knew. But she didn't, so she just continued with whatever her work was. Maynard pretty much did the exact same thing, so there wasn't much worth pointing out right now.

The commander He looked at his XO, assessing her for a moment before saying "Put them on Ragnar, they should be pretty safe there. We will detail some marines to stay with them, along with sending them food as needed. Unless the Cylons find them, everything should be good." he then whispered "This is a hard time for all of us, I expect you to hold your post like an officer, I trust you, that's why I didn't send for a new XO when I saw your age. I hope you realise that nothing is black and white, and I have much more experience than you." he waited until they were counting down the jump and said to Irene "I want the civilian leader on this ship as soon as we complete the jump. Also tell the Quartermaster to get his marines up here, just to be safe, you understand? Even if they fire will you hold your post?" he seemed to have a thing about insuring people would hold their post, despite any human feeling.
Tabitha Tabitha gave a crisp salute and said "Sorry sir, will never happen again sir." she would probably be the perfect little drone the commander liked, ready and willing to obey and and all orders. After he shoo'd them she gave another salute and walked out. She didn't even go to the lockers, because she was already in her flight suit. She didn't take much time to get down to the hanger decks, and climb in her raptor. She started pre flight checklists, slowly booting her ship, ready with everything from comm drones to flares. She signalled the deck gang and they towed her raptor over to the pad to take it up to the main deck.
Post Jump Galactica jumped right next to a well positioned civilian fleet, around 69 ships sat with a tiny escort of Vipers flying a basic CAP. The lead ship launched a trio of old Cylon raiders from the war. Bridge alarms went off for a split second before they squacked colonial transponders. The civilians followed the Galactica down, while the small patrol stayed outside the cloud cover.
The three Raiders docked with Galactica, being brought down to the hanger deck. A team of 6 mercenaries walked down the ramp first, each one armed to the teeth with more weapons than a marine. The XO of the civilian flagship followed next, then a woman with tattoos running up her arms and face, clearly a member of the Ha'la'tha crime syndicate. Finally the leader of the Hyperion conglomerate disimbarked his ship, his people quickly took point around him as they walked to the bridge. Both Alan and his XO wore clear pistols, and the Don of the Ha'la'tha had a shotgun hardly hidden under her long trench coat.
Alan arrived on the bridge first, followed closely by his marines and buddies who joined him. The XO gave a wide smile to Aurora, despite the fact they had never met. The Don looked at the CIC questioningly, looking around at the officers. She heard one mutter "Dirt eater" a derogatory term for her people. She rolled her eyes at the clear attempt to try and make her angry.

After telling off some of his pilots, Jake got in his flight suit and then headed to his Viper. He started doing a pre-flight check and got everything ready, then waited for them to jump to Ragnar. "This is Carnage," He said over the comms,"Everyone set up and ready?" He heard Ghost's voice reply over the coms,"All set to go here." Sulfer's reply came shortly later,"Same here. How you doing, Penikett?" Sulfer sounded like he actually cared how it was going, not like, how Hotshot would probably say it.
(Aurora before the jump) "Yes, sir," She said, acting like she was just going along with it fine, when really she wasn't so sure she was going to carry out that order. She wondered how long it would take for a mutiny to start. She hoped the commander would change his mind, as she wasn't looking forward to the idea of being the commander of the ship. "I will hold my post, Sir," She said. To the rest she just listened, since she was pretty sure that he was talking to Irene.
(Post jump) Shortly after the jump, whenever the CAP was supposed to take off, Jake's Viper shot out of the tubes, followed by the other Vipers. "Alright, keep your eyes open," He said,"Any sign of a Cylon and you tell me immediately, alright? And remember, no heroics." He made sure all his pilots were in check, then lead the patrol around.
(Aurora) Aurora stood quietly while everything happened, kind of raising an eyebrow at the other XO, apparently not trusting people to just be friendly, and not like, flirty or something. She waited tensely to see what happened next, her mind racing.

Marissa got into her flight suit and headed down to the docking bay, and hopped into her Viper. The first thing she did was test out some of the controls, to make sure they were all functioning properly. Everything seemed to be in tip top shape (Or at least worked), to her relief. She would really hate to have her aging Viper give out on her right before her first real mission. Even with her ship working fine, she was extremely nervous, which was rather reasonable for it being her first real mission outside of training. And to make it worse, she had just got here yesterday. So she didn't really have any time to get training with these particular people, or training with their ways yet. Yeah, she had done plenty of training in general, but that didn't mean she knew how these guys went about things.
"Everything's running fine over here" Marissa responded back to Sulfur. Hotshot just responded with "Things are runnin' here", even though nobody really asked him if he was running yet. "Just nervous" Marissa then added after Hotshot. "First real mission and all, and I haven't had a whole lot of time to train with you guys yet" She said, sighing.
Being shot out of the tubes was a sensation that Marissa still had to get used to, which lead her to sounding rather tense over the radio at first. But as soon as she was launched out of the tube and into open space, she went "Woo!", and said, "It's beautiful out here!". Actually being out in space in places she had never really been before was amazing to her It really was beautiful out here. Hotshot had been launched out not long after her. "Gotcha" Hotshot said in response to Carnage, which the way he said it might of not been very convincing to him. Marissa just said "Yes sir", and followed the patrol around, seeming to test her controls and steering a little to make sure she had a feel for it. Since they were just patrolling, she figured she could test to make sure she had everything down properly a little. In case they thought she may of looked weird, she said "Just testing to make sure I got the feel for it, sir. Don't worry about me", to make sure they weren't alarmed by her Viper moving back and forth.
Irene Irene nodded to the commander. When he asked if she'd hold her post, she nodded. "Yes sir" She said, doing a quick salute. She then got to work on communicating to the leader of the civilian fleet that her commander wanted him on the ship as soon as possible, and telling the quartermaster to get his marines up here just in case. After she was done with all of that, she looked to the commander and said "Task complete, sir", before going back and fiddling with some things.
