CHAPTER TWO
Elizabeth woke up as the car pulled into the campground. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and straightened up in her seat.
Her mom turned in her seat to look at her, “We're here,” she said.
Elizabeth yawned and looked out the window. The campground was dark and very green. A thick canopy of leaves blocked out most light, and the trunks of the many trees were coated in lush green moss. Her parents preferred to camp in a trailer, but Elizabeth liked to sleep in a tent.
They pulled into their camp spot, it was fairly big with a spot for the trailer and a secluded spot for the tent.
Elizabeth got out of the car as her dad turned the engine off.
Her parents got out and started setting up the trailer, while Elizabeth got the tent and started setting it up.
“Elli, Honey, why don’t you come help us get the trailer all set up?”
Her mom asked, leaning out the trailer door.
“Why cant you do it yourself?” She muttered to herself as she got up and went over to help them

Penny had stayed with her sister for an hour and a half, then went window shopping for a half an hour. She was headed back to the bus stop. As she passed the WenErots building she saw Joshua's car in the parking lot. I wonder what he's doing here, she thought as she kept walking. She soon reached the bus stop and sat, waiting for the next bus home.

same time.
Joshua panted and he jogged up the stairs. He was already late and then he arrived to find the elevator was broken...And of course his father's office was on the top floor. He paused for breath outside of his father's office, then went in. His father was standing in front of the one window in the room that ran along the whole wall. In the center of the room there was a long table with a few people sitting at it. His father turned to look at him as he came in.
“Hello, son. You're late. Your not late very often.” Said his father.
“I'm sorry, it was a...bad night, and the elevator was broken, that didn't help.” Joshua responded.
His father looked him up and down, “Did you even try to get your hair in order?”
“Yes I did, and even gel wouldn't keep it down. Can we get this started? I want to be done with it,” Joshua said as he took a seat at the table.
“ As you know, we can't afford to fund the orphanage anymore,” The
Vice president of WenErots began. Joshua snorted quietly, which was rewarded with a glare from the Vice President.
“What, you don't believe that we have money problems?” The vice president asked, sounding annoyed.
“No, but continue.” Joshua responded, crossing his arms in front of him.
Throughout the interview he kept getting hit with bursts of shivers, and his father kept glancing at him with a worried look on his face.
In the end, Joshua managed to convince them to keep funding the orphanage, just out of pure stubbornness. It took about two hours, and Joshua was anxious to get out of there. Galdora's presence seemed strong here.
He stood up and smiled at the businessmen. “Thank you for continuing to fund the orphanage, and thank you for your time,” He said to them. He headed for the door, but stopped short, looking out the window. Outside, the city was burning. Flames rose with columns of smoke, consuming everything. Outside of the city was a wall of blackness. Joshua knew it wasn't real, it couldn't be. His father and the other businessmen would be freaking out, but they just looked at him, confused as to why he was standing there. He heard his father saying something to him, but he couldn't tell what. He turned to him, and stumbled back against the window in shock. In the place of his father and he co-workers were demons. He couldn't think of anything else to call them. They were beings with horns and fiery eyes, and the room looked dark and red. It was like something straight out of a horror game. The demon that took the place of his father stepped towards him as his legs gave out and he slumped down against the window. His vision went back to normal, and he saw he father run over to him and kneel. He was talking to him, but he couldn't hear what he said. His eyes closed and he slowly lost consciousness.
Part 4.
Two hours before the end of the meeting.
Admara sighed quietly. She had been sitting at her desk for about two hours now, trying to think of some way to detect where Galdora was, and how fast she was gaining in strength. But Galdora was the closest thing to magic that had been seen in this world for a long time, and Admara couldn't think how to use technology to their advantage against her. She had debated going to a tech store to see what they had there, but she figured that the only tech that she could find that would be useful would have to me military grade, and so she decided she needed to make her own.
Currently she was using her computer to scan for areas of sudden and uncommon coldness, and she had found that right around where Joshua's father worked seemed to have recently had a strange temperature drop. She knew that Joshua had a meeting with his father there, and hoped nothing bad would happen while he was there.
She then picked up her screwdriver and got back to work on her project. She hoped it would be able to detect where the barrier between the two worlds was weakest, and that way they would either be able to heal the barrier, or find some way of keeping Goldora from coming through at those spots.
About two hours later she decided that she needed a break, and glanced up to check the temperatures. She was surprised to see an even bigger drop in temperature right on top of Joshua's father's work, and then, as quickly as it had dropped, the temperature went back to being still slightly cold, but not nearly as cold. If this kept up, someone was going to notice.

CHAPTER ONE
Chapter 1
Present day, one year after defeating Galdora
Joshua Nixon walked down a stone corridor of The Phantom Crusader’s base (TPC), a small cave that runs deep underground. He walked past the lobby, where his Second in Command, Katie Dawn, the technology nerd, Admara Belle, fellow pizza delivery woman, Penny Herrington and Armory organizer Elizabeth Arton,-who were all sitting chatting-. As he passed, they all stopped talking and watched him pass. He rolled his eyes and continued down the corridor. The corridor was long and rocky, more like a tunnel then a corridor. There were lamps hanging down from the roof, using fire for light. He turned into the Living quarters, then into his room. His room was the largest in the Living Quarters, at 40x40 feet long and 20 feet tall.
There was a queen sized bed in the far corner, a desk right next to the door, and the dresser was at the base of the bed. The room was cold unnaturally cold.
Joshua took a step deeper into his room, and the presence of evil was so strong that it made him stagger. It was overwhelming and he knew, right then, that Queen Galdora was returning, and she was angry, angry at him for sending her back to her own world a year ago. In his mind he could see her, her long pointed nose, her long black dress, and her Blood red eyes. He shivered. The evil presence was coming in waves, it was weakening, and one wave was so strong, it knocked him unconscious. The vision of the evil queen faded from his mind, and all went black.
Part two
Present day, 4 minutes ago
Katie Dawn watched as Joshua walked by, and smiled at him. She, Admara, Penny, and Elizabeth had made a promise not to fight over him, and let him chose who he wanted, but she couldn’t help hope that he picked her. He had short black hair that always stuck in every direction, pale skin and deep blue eyes. He was a very kind young man, yet he had a sharp temper. So if you were on his good side, he was really nice, if you were on his bad side he could get quite angry. She watched as he went into the Living Quarters then glanced at the clock, and was surprised when it read 10:30 pm. “Hey, we should be getting to sleep, its late”, she said to Admara, Penny and Elizabeth. “whoa, when did it get ten thirty?” exclaimed Penny. “ I don‘t know, but we’d better get to bed, I’m going to a technology store tomorrow” Said Admara.
They all stood up and headed to the Living Quarters. As they passed Joshua’s room, Katie looked into his room and was surprised to see him lying facedown on the ground. “Josh!” she cried, and ran into the room, followed by the others. When she reached him, she quickly turned him over and checked his pulse, it was strong, and if anything, a little fast. “What happened to him? He doesn’t look hurt”, said Penny.
“I don’t know. Wake up Josh!” Katie shook him gently. He groaned and opened his eyes. “Josh! What happened?” gasped Katie.
“I…..Oh…..” he still seemed kind of half conscious.
“Josh?” she helped him sit up, supporting him with her hand on his back. He closed his eyes and shuddered.
“She’s back” he whispered, barely audible.
Part three
Present day present time.
Joshua told them what happened when he had entered his room.
“Are we going to try the same thing we did last time?” Katie asked as she helped Joshua over to his bed.
“I don’t know, I doubt she’ll make the same mistake twice, and she knows more about what she’s up against” he responded, sitting down on the bed.
“So, is she back, or is she coming back?” asked Admara.
“I don’t know, I think she’s half in our world half in hers….”
“You should rest, Josh, you look pale” said Penny, gently pushing him to lay down.
“He always looks pale” giggled Katie
Joshua sighed and looked at them. All the girls were pretty in their own way. Katie with her curly brownish-red hair, light blue eyes, slightly tanned face and had freckles under her eyes and across her nose. Penny had straight dyed red hair that she always kept in a pony tail, chocolate brown eyes and was pale, but not as pale as Joshua. Admara had long brown hair that she kept in a braid, hazel eyes tanned skin and wore glasses. Elizabeth had wavy black hair, dark, almost black eyes, and was neither tan nor pale.
Joshua laid down and closed his eyes, he was exhausted.
“Good night Josh” Elizabeth said quietly
“Be on you guard tonight guys” warned Joshua.
“We will” said Katie.
Joshua’s night was long and disturbed. Many times he woke up with the feeling that he was being watched. By the time he woke up, he still felt tired and weak. He glanced around his room. It felt pleasantly warm, instead of shockingly cold. His walls were made of smooth stone that seem to keep the heat in. He got out of bed and headed to the kitchen where everyone was having breakfast.
“Hi Josh, feeling better?” asked Penny.
“Yes” he said, kind of unconvincingly.
“How’d you sleep?”
“He cant have slept to bad, its 1PM” Elizabeth quietly pointed out.
“It is? I woke up a lot and kept dreaming about her” responded Joshua as he sat down.
“Sooooo…..what’s the plan to get her to go away again?” asked Admara.
“The plan is…..to get her to stay away?”
“Good idea……any brilliant ideas on how to do that?”
“No.”
“very honest” commented Penny.
“Maybe we could look for more places where she has been to, like Josh’s room” Elizabeth suggested quietly.
“Hmmm that may work, except, how will we find them?” asked Admara.
“Maybe we could just go on with our ‘normal’ lives and see if we run into places that seem like they’ve been affected” suggested Joshua.
“Ok…”
Joshua stood up and Katie looked at him.
“Aren’t you going to eat anything? She asked.
“No, I’m not really hungry.”
“Ok, see you later”
“We’ll meet back in 4 days”.
Part four
Three hours later
Elizabeth was on her way to go camping with her parents, who she hardly ever saw anymore, being 19 and living in the TPC base.
“We are going to a lovely place in up in North Cascades National Park” Said her mom.
Elizabeth leaned her head on the window in the car. She loved the outdoors but camping with her parents could be a little rough, and she had a two hour drive ahead of her. They got quite grumpy when they were in the car for a while.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t you exited?
“Sure…..” she mumbled
“Oh come on, it’ll be fun!”
Elizabeth just sighed and prepared for a hard three days.
Part five
Same time
As Penny walked down the street she hunched her shoulders against the cold. It seemed winter was coming early this year. She glanced around at people walking by, most not bothered by anything except whether or not they missed the bus or if they had enough money to buy supplies.
Penny, on the other hand was worried about how soon Galdora would strike, and where she would. Lightning flashed in the sky, and people glanced at the sky and went on with what they were doing. Some hurried faster as it started raining. Penny passed by the big skyscraper where Joshua's father worked. He was a big business man, working for a company called WenErots, which Penny had no clue what that meant. A police car raced by, heading to a crash just down the road, and spraying water through the air as it drove through a puddle. Penny had been on a bus for two hours to get there, after finishing some stuff up at the TPC base. She was headed to the Orphanage where her little sister lived. Ever since their parents died in a house fire, Penny had been trying to get enough money to adopt her. But with no luck so far, living on her own working as a pizza delivery woman made it hard to pay bills and save any money. Joshua had managed to convince his father to donate some money to the orphanage monthly so Penny's sister could at least have a descent life there. Penny walked through the doors to the orphanage and to where her little sister stays.
“Hi, Pen!” she heard. 'Pen' was what her sister always called her.
“Hey, lil sis” Penny said as her sister came running over. Her sister was 10 years old and her name was Ashley.
“Hows keeping evil out of the world going?” Ashley was one of the few people who knew that they had stopped Galdora.
“Well...” Penny began telling what had happened with Joshua.
Part six
same time
Joshua stood in front of a mirror, getting ready for a meeting with his father and his fathers business partners about the monthly fund for the orphanage. Apparently, the company was having money problems, which he didn't believe one bit.
He was sure the company had plenty of money, since they had a skyscraper and all the stuff big company's had, they probably just thought it was a waste of money helping on orphanage, cutting away from their pay check, worth probably already way to much a day.
He looked at his reflection. He looked pale and tired, with dark circles under his eyes. He was wearing a plain cheep black suit that his father had bought him for these types of meetings, and he had tried to get his hair in order, and failed. It stuck up in every direction, even gel wouldn't keep it down.
As he gazed at the mirror, a cold breeze blew through the room, and he automatically glanced around the room. When he looked back at the mirror, the reflection wasn't of him, it was an image of Gladora. He gasped and stumbled back and within a second, the image of Galdora was gone. He quickly walked out of the room. Once he was out of the room he leaned against the wall and took a few deep breaths. Galdora was most interested in him, that much he could figure out. But why? The whole team had stopped her last time, not just him. He calmed his nerves and looked at the clock, 4:10 PM, he was already going to be late. He ran to TPC garage and hopped into his 11-year old Toyota Camry. It was a car his father had given him when he learned to drive, just before Galdora attacked. The car showed sighs of being used in a middle of a crisis by a novice driver, and had many dents in it. He started the car and it sputtered a few times before running smoothly. He pulled out of TPC garage and headed on the two hour drive to town.

Admara sat staring down a hill. She was at the top of the hill on which her little cabin sat. There was a beautiful view from up there, and she loved to sit and stare down into the valley.
She could see a family of Deer grazing quietly among the flowers. Everything seemed peaceful, unbothered. The weather was extra cold for this time of year, and most people would put it down to climate change. But Admara knew better, it was no coincidence that the weather was getting colder when Galdora was returning. She sighed and stood up. With one last glance at the Deer, she turned around and went inside.

[/i]2 hours later[/i]Elizabeth woke up as the car pulled into the campground. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and straightened up in her seat.
Her mom turned in her seat to look at her, “We're here,” she said.
