Hornet was doing what you'd expect Hornet to do, which was read a book. She was in the place they made for their general bedroom area, laying on her bed, if you could call it that. It was practically more books then bed at this point, all strewn across the mattress. It seemed like she was having difficulties finding which book she felt like reading at the moment, and had littered them all over her bed. Though, it was proven that she seemed to literally sleep with books sometimes. The truth was she had actually slept on her bed of books last night, and had more books as blankets then blankets as blankets.
"Read that one" Hornet said, throwing a book to the side, which clunked to the floor. The book was Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Sadly, that was the only book she had in that series, and she was dieing to find, or buy the rest of the series of books. The truth was she was dieing to find or buy a huge load of books, and she had actually written down every single one that she could think of that she wanted to buy or find. But if anyone knew her, they'd be wondering why she needed any more books then she already had, since books were literally falling off her bed any time she moved, because she had so many loaded up on her bed. One night, she had decided to go 'break' into her house, which wasn't very difficult, since the door was unlocked, and take more of her books back to the theatre.
"Ahah! Finally one I haven't read" Hornet said excitedly, plopping down on her bed and knocking more books off. Since she seemingly doesn't care about the condition of the books she loves so dearly, she shoved some more off her bed to make room for herself, and opened up Bridge To Terabithia, which being as short as it was, and being her, she would likely be able to read by the time the sun came up, if not faster if she decided to avoid sleeping tonight. The only reason she was still really staying up was to make sure Diego made it back safely, and to occasionally check on his sister to make sure she was okay, or if she was going to go to sleep or not. But she was a late-nighter a lot anyway, often staying up into the late hours of the night reading various books. Likely if Diego was out after a certain time, say, 2 or 3 AM, she'd be out there in the night as well, trying to find him and make sure he didn't get lost or didn't get in trouble with the authorities, or whatever other kind of crap there was out in this section of New York City. For now, she would just relax and read through her book.
(Rickon) Rickon was holding his Teddy tightly to his chest as he wandered the streets of New York City in the dark. The dark scared him, but he couldn't sleep so he decided to walk around the streets. He hoped there wouldn't be any scary monsters in the shadows. He hated scary monsters. The cold wintery weather didn't help any either. There wasn't much snow on the ground, and he did try to avoid the snow so he didn't get all wet and colder. Even though he felt so tired, he couldn't get himself to sleep because the scary monsters might be around the corner, and jump out at him and eat him up in his sleep. Or scare him to death.
"It's scary out here" Rickon muttered to himself while shivering. At least he was wearing something relatively warm before he got lost. He avoided the alleyways, not wanting to be in those creepy dark back alleys. All he wanted was somewhere safe and warm to be, to sleep in peace and not worry about the dark. Little known to him, he would get his wish sooner then he expected.
He came to a stop, and held out Teddy in front of him. "You will keep me safe, won't you Teddy? I thought so. I will keep you safe too Teddy. We are best friends! Mommy must of known you would be a good friend to me, and keep me safe. I love you Teddy" He said to, you guessed it, his Teddy. After his speech to his Teddy, he hugged him tightly, suffocatingly tightly if you were human, and kept hugging him for quite some time.

Alexandra and Alexander walked through the streets slowly, both of them hugging each other for warmth. Neither one had to say anything, they might as well have been reading each others thoughts, sense they were both pretty much just thinking that it was freezing cold. Alex felt his sister pull the gun out of her belt and looked around, he looked forward and saw they were in front of some theater the looked old and abandoned, but they both knew it would be much better than sleeping out here in the ice cold temperatures. They sneaked around back and Alexander gently opened the door while his sister pointed the gun forward into the room in front of them. She walked inside her brother closely following and shutting the door behind them with a bit of a bang, which caused both of them to jump.
Alexandra pointed her German made Lugar around, she had no idea if the gun worked or not, she had never had occasion to fire it. After considering that there was no one stabbing them she put it in her brother's back pack. They quickly hugged, remembering the last building they found was occupied by a homeless guy who tried to stab them. They then put their pendants together and gave each other a gentle kiss on the cheek, just friendly and family gesture. Alexander then set down the backpack and smiled slightly, looking at what might as well be a reflection of himself in his sister they had always found it unusual that they were identical but of different genders, until the German explained it to them.

Diego wandered around in the cold night. Over his usual clothes, which were awful nice to wear for stealing in, he wore a hooded cloak to help keep him warm. He had been scouting out an apartment that he was going to try to steal from in a few days. He had learned good climbing and parkour skills while he was out here, but it was more just enough to get around without being detected as much, and not very graceful.
He wandered back toward the theater for a while when he heard talking, in what sounded like a little kid's voice. He followed the sound and saw the kid standing alone, save for his Teddy. He went over to the kid,"Hey, kid. Where are your parents?" He asked, frowning. If this kid was lost, he needed to get inside before he froze to death or something. It wasn't super cold, but he could get sick standing out here.
(Katelin) Katelin was sitting in some candlelight, drawing a picture of a kitten. She was also waiting for her brother to get back, though she wasn't worried about him. Not matter how many times she had told Hornet that he comes back when he wants, be it 9 or 4 in the morning, she still worried. She found it funny that Hornet worried more about her brother then she did, though she figured it was because she had lived with him with their parents, and she knew how strong and defiant he could be.
She suddenly gasped and dropped her pencils when she heard the door bang. She quickly crawled over to Hornet and pulled on her sleeve. "Someone's here," She whispered. She knew it wasn't her brother. He always shut the door quietly, and she just got a feeling. The front door was locked and barred, so the only way to get in was through the back. That was so that no one would wander in the front, and so that they could get in with less of a chance of being seen. After telling Hornet that someone was there, she sat down and pulled her legs to her, putting one arm around her legs and put her figures to her mouth in a scared way with the other.

Hornet was so engrossed with her book that she didn't even hear the door bang, because she was one of those people who seemed to block out the world around her when it came to reading. But when Katelin pulled on the sleeve of her shirt, she snapped out of her book reading trance and looked over at Katelin. She half closed her book, marking her chapter with a finger, while listening to what Diego's little sister had to say. Which wasn't much, but yeah. But as soon as she did hear was she had to say, she bolted to her feet, losing the chapter of her book, and pulled out something, a baton, to attack anyone if they were a threat, along with grabbing a flashlight she put next to her bed. Hopefully they didn't have guns, or else they'd probably be screwed. Maybe it was the cops, and they got wind of what was going on here? Like them illegally living in here, and fixing it up while also stealing stuff to decorate it? It was hard to tell, but she was prepared.
"Shh, it will be all right. Stay safe, and I will go and check to see what's going on. Don't worry, I will be careful" Hornet reassured Katelin, patting her on the head gently. "Stay safe" She said, and pulled a blanket that had fallen off of her bed from off the floor, knocking some books around, but not very loudly. "Hide yourself under this if you hear them coming" She said to Katelin, handing her the blanket to take. "And don't come out until they leave if they come in here, okay?" She told her in a serious tone. She decided to avoid telling her "If you hear a gun shot fire off, hide", because she didn't want to frighten her, and that would be pretty blatantly obvious anyway.
Once she was done with all of that, she took a deep breath and left wherever exactly the bed section of the place was located. It was rather dark inside the abandoned facility, since most of the electricity didn't work very well right now. She was too afraid to turn on the lights in the place, and it seemed likely that Katelin and Diego were as well. It was all too likely that the wiring was chewed through, and would spark and catch the place on fire. So they either had to use candles, or flashlights. Right now she was shining her flash light as she went through the place. She ended up coming right around the corner, and saw a little ways down the hallway a pair of twins, which she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Who are you two, and what are you two doing in here?" Hornet asked the twins while clutching a baton, and shining a flashlight in their direction, though not directly in their faces. They probably could ask her the same question, since it was an abandoned Theatre that she was hanging out in, and it was in the middle of the night. Knowing some people, they might just assume she was some weird ghost hunter.
(Rickon) Rickon gasped and almost dropped his precious Teddy when he heard a man speak suddenly, but managed to hold onto it and clutch it rather tightly instead of dropping it. At first all he saw was a big black-clothed man standing there, and that frightened him even more. He looked scared, but didn't seem to be ready to bolt, because the kid was also freezing and maybe this man could help him. And he asked a simple enough question that he felt like answering it.
"I don't know. I got separated from mommy and daddy. It's been days and I can't find them. Do you know where mommy and daddy is? It's so cold" The little kid known as Rickon said, and he visibly shivered again. "Do you know somewhere warm for me and Teddy? I just want somewhere safe to sleep for me and Teddy, away from the monsters of the shadows, and somewhere warm" He said, shivering and holding Teddy tightly to his chest. If you had any way to shelter a kid like him, you'd have a terrible time just turning a poor kid like him down, all alone in the dark, shivering in the cold winters night.

When the Twins suddenly found themselves bathed in light Alexander let out a fairly feminine yelp of surprise his sister however looked around and grabbed a large wooden plank "Don't come close to us, we are just twins looking for a place to stay the night. It is cold and freezing and my twin here got pushed into a puddle earlier when a taxi nearly ran us over." her brother finally managed to find the gun in their pack and pointed it at Hornet and said "What my twin says is true, we don't mean any trouble, but the last guy tried to stab us, so you understand if we don't take chances." just based on looking and listening to them it was hard if not impossible to tell what genders they were, especially sense they simply referred to each other as their twin?not brother or sister. Alexandra held out her hand "Gun." her brother whined like a girl "You always get the gun, I want it, you have wood." she dropped the wood and said "Gun, I don't want splinters." her brother grumbled something to himself in Swedish and handed over the gun, then crossed his arms in an annoyed way, and told his sister "Well you may have the gun, but your chest is flat." she blushed and said "I'm just late, it isn't going to be permanent. Besides, what about when brests come in for you?" he looked defensive "That isn't going to happen." his sister rolled her eyes and.said "We both know it is, you aren't male after all, not really." he immediately snapped back "Neither are you, wait I mean, your not exactly female either." they both them looked back over at Hornet, looking as if they forgot about her in their arguing. The brother then hesitantly asked "Could we, you know" his sister finished "Stay with you, because we are similar" he brother finished her part "in age, or at least I think." they both then laughed at each other for their sentence finishing.

Katelin took the blanket Hornet handed to her and pulled it around her. She nodded to what Hornet said, then watched her leave, hoping everything would be alright. After Hornet left, she went over to her mattress and pulled the blanket over her head, hoping for them to go away.
(Diego) Diego frowned when the kid said he'd been separated from his mommy and daddy, then shook his head,"No, I don't know where they are. What do they look like? I could keep an eye out for them. But in the meantime, I do have a warm place you can stay," He pulled off his cloak and put it around the kid's shoulders as he spoke. He was thinking that if he had been the type, this kid would be way to easy to kidnap. He was glad that he had found the kid before a kidnapper had. He knelt down in front of the kid,"Do you want me to carry you? You look tired."

When one of the twins grabbed a plank, she backed up slightly, because a plank could definitely be more painful if she was hit then her Baton. At least, that's what she thought. And she wasn't exactly a professional fighter either. "It's not much warmer in here" She pointed out, and gestured to the fact that she had a somewhat warm black jacket on, though it still looked like she was cold as well. That was something they'd need to figure out how to get: Heat. Being in this damaged Theatre in winter wasn't the greatest time for that ever. As soon as the gun was pointed at her though, she let out a gasp and looked like she started trembling slightly, looking afraid. "Lower the gun, and-" She cut herself off as they started to argue back and forth mindlessly, and she looked from one of them to the other, seeming just lost at this point. They went back and forth so quickly she still wasn't sure which one was male and which one was female, even though they made it sort of obvious. Her sleepy, cold brain was having a hard time remembering it and processing that right now. She raised an eyebrow at them, seeming a little confused by their question, but just shrugged and said, "Sure, you can stay. At least for now. I'm fine with you two staying, but our leader has the final say. I don't see why he'd say no though, as long as you don't shoot any of us". As she said that, she nodded her head towards the gun, which seemed likely to be not pointed at her anymore after their argument.
(Rickon) "My mommy has black hair and my daddy has brown hair" Rickon replied, not really knowing how to describe them the best at his age. His eyes lit up and he suddenly seemed warmer then he was earlier, and a smile slightly. "Really?! That's great!" He exclaimed, doing a little jump in the air. "Teddy, did you hear that? We have warmth!" He exclaimed to Teddy, hugging him tightly again. One reason why the kid probably felt warmer was the cloth around his shoulders. "And thank you for the Batman Cloak" The kid replied, grinning faintly. To the last thing he said, he just grinned faintly and did a quiet "Uhuh", easily letting him pick him up if he felt like it.

The twins both said in unison "It is better than nothing." when the girl talked about it not being much warmer. Neither one had particularly warm clothes, just normal long sleeves, and their faces reflected the fact they were practically frozen to death. After their arguing Alexander started coughing, and his sister put her arm around him and said "Alex, it is going to be ok." he stopped coughing, still sounding a little weezy still but just smiled slightly at his sister. They both nodded and Alexandra said "Of course, thank you so much. We won't hurt anyone, we were just scared of you guys hurting us." her brother, who actually seemed to be the slightly more feminine of the two gave Hornet a hug, then said "Thank you, so much. I am so cold." even this close it was almost impossible to tell he was male. He then smiled at Hornet and walked back over to his sister and they both said "Call me Alex." in unison. They laughed at each other, and then asked "Is there somewhere we can put our stuff, and maybe a bed too." they both smiled, looking like mirror images of each other. Alexander took out a small book and looked it over real quick, then sighed slightly.

Diego let out a half-amused sound that was half-laugh and half-scoff. "I'm going to need more information then that if I'm going to find them," He said, wondering if the kid could even give him any more information. He chuckled at the kid talking to his Teddy, then calling it a bat-man cloak. When he said 'uhuh', Diego picked him up. He was strong, so he didn't have a very hard time with it. Not that he thought the kid was light or anything. He then started heading back to the theater with the kid in his arms. "What's your name?" He asked as he walked.
After a while, they got back to the theater, once Deigo opened the door and went in, he saw two other people who looked exactly the same. "Hi. Who are you?" He asked. He didn't think they looked like much of a threat, and in fact looked like they could use some warmth and some food, so he didn't pay much mind to being here. He then turned to Hornet,"Where's Katelin?" He asked.
Katelin was still hiding.

Hornet did have to chuckle this time when they both spoke at the same time, and she smiled faintly. Normally she'd act more cheery, but it was late, and she was getting tired. Sure, she was a part of a thieving group that would do best with thieving at night, but that didn't mean she didn't get tired at night. And she was pretty much in charge of the money anyway, making sure it doesn't all get spent quickly. Which was easy enough when it was just her, Diego, and his sister, but now it seemed like it might be more difficult. Though, she didn't want to make Diego do all the stealing by himself, and she did help him. She looked concerned when one of the Twins started coughing, to which she wasn't sure if it was the male or female one, because she was pretty sure one was male and one was female, but relaxed after it didn't seem to be anything major. She smiled again. "Okay. Good" She said, and then suddenly found herself in a hug. She was cut off guard by it, but quickly smiled and patted him on the back. "Well, you should warm up some in here" She said, and then did a big breath, which emitted a burst of visible breath due to the cold inside. She chuckled again at them both saying "Call me Alex", but moved on to the next thing. "There's plenty of room for stuff, but sadly we only have 3 beds right now. Sorry" She said, and she looked apologetic. "We weren't quite expecting 2 new guests so quickly" She added.
Hornet quickly snapped her gaze to Diego when he showed up, his entrance startling her slightly. But she quickly no longer cared, and looked down to the boy in his arms, who seemed to be very close to drifting off to sleep, despite the likely bouncy ride. "Hiding on my bed I believe" She said to Diego. "Let me take him" She said quietly, reaching her hands out to him to take Rickon herself. "I'll make him somewhere good to sleep" She told him. She didn't even bother asking him questions of where he found the kid, and just offered instant help instead.
(Rickon) Rickon let out a sleepy little kid giggle in response. "I don't know how to describe people well" He said to Diego, yawning. Of course, Rickon let Diego pick him up, and he sleepily rested himself against him. And he was fairly light anyway, especially with the lack of food recently. "Riiiiiickon" He said, yawning as he spoke, making him draw out the I for a little while. That was probably a name nobody heard very often, if ever. Most peoples first responses to his name would probably just think his parents were Game of Thrones nerds or something.
By the time they got back, Rickon was barely conscious and aware of the world around them. He did notice 2 people who looked the same and a girl, but that was about all he thought of them. Though, he did notice the girl offered to carry him, and he gave Hornet a sleepy smile, before yawning once again.

The twins smiled when Hornet said they could warm up a little, and one of then said "I'm sure we will." the other nodded and said "Probably just above freezing in here, but at least no wind chill." they nodded to each other. When she said there were no extra beds one of them said "Don't worry about it, we are kinda used to it." the other, the female one, said "Hey, you know how it works I'm totally going to sleep on top of you." they both laughed, apparently both getting a joke they had between them. When she said they weren't expecting guests they both nodded and said "Understandable." in unison, something they apparently did quite often. They looked over at the door, one looking scared and the other going for their gun, until they realised he wasn't a threat, then both looked relaxed and respond "I am Alexandra." and the other said "I am Alexander, we are identical twins." as if the last part wasn't apparent, however thinking he might be the one for a joke they had actually introduced themselves as each other, just for kicks. They then looked at each other and one said "Ska vi erbjuda våra grejer?" the other looked nervously at the people and said "Jag är inte säker på att jag litar på dem ännu, för guld, vem vet vad de kan göra." they both then nodded to each other and looked at the others as if they hadn't just had a secret conversation.

"Alright," Diego said, handing Rickon to Hornet. "While you're at it, you can tell Kitty that it's safe to come out," He said. Kitty was his nickname for Katelin, since she liked cats a lot, and always had. She kind of liked all animals, though. He looked at the twins and nodded to them, not noticing that they introduced themselves as each other. "I'm Diego. I'm assuming you need a place to stay. You're free to stay here. Tomorrow I'll pick up some more mattresses. Just one thing, be careful around Katelin. She's kind of jumpy, and not very trusting." He seemed to ignore them talking to each other. Katelin was listening to the voices, but they were to far away to understand the words. She was relieved to hear her brother's voice, but stayed hidden.

Hornet nodded in agreement about being just above freezing, and was also thankful that there was no wind chill inside here. Sure, she felt cold seeping through the openings and such a few times, but over all it was alright inside. If it was much colder, she wasn't sure she'd be able to live with it. Which was partly why she was so into helping tidy this place up and fix it up, to get it warm again. Or, at least, warmer. She just nodded to them saying they were used to it, and let out a sigh, because she felt bad for them that they couldn't just sleep on a bed. Her reaction to their 'joke', she just raised an eyebrow, and said nothing.
Hornet gently took Rickon in her arms, putting him in a position you'd carry, say, a baby, and he smiled a sleepy smile at her. "Will do" She said to Diego with a nod and a smile. At the twins conversation in a language she didn't understand, she looked over at them and raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. With that, she headed off.
Once she was back to where Katelin/Kitty was, she gave her a gentle smile. "Hey" She said to her. "Your brother said you can come out now. It's safe. We got some possibly new permanent residents" She said, gesturing to the boy she was carrying, who was practically asleep. "And there are twins down with your brother" She said to her. Once she was done with that, she started shoving her books off her bed, making it more comfortable for Rickon. For being a book lover, she sure treated her books like crap. Once she was done being a book abuser, she rested Rickon down on the bed, and smiled at him, to which he returned a smile back.
"That should keep you warm and let you sleep well" She said, and put a blanket over him. He smiled at her again, and sleepily said, "Thank you", to which she smiled back again. Being her, she ended up grabbing some book she thought Rickon would be interested in, and as if to help him sleep, if he really needed that at this point, she read the book quietly to him, clearly being a good narrator when reading stories to people, and seeming to enjoy reading books to others as well.

The Twins both nodded and said "Nice to meet you Diego." at the same time when he introduced himself. They both nodded to him at the same time to the things he said, apparently having very similar reactions to things. They both asked "So, um do you steal the mattresses?" both sounding uncomfortable with their own question, but that was also why they both asked it, so it wouldn't be just one of them who was embarrassed. They both nodded in unison and the one that sounded ever slightly more feminine than the other said "Don't worry, we will show her nothing but kindness, and we will make sure she can trust us." the other one nodded to their twin and said "Plus maybe you could get some food while you are out, I would kill for something with a little meat in it, we uh have this, if you want." and took out a $20 bill, offering it to him, because they both wanted something more than the food that was set out for them by the local Jewish community.

"Nice to meet you, too," Diego replied. He thought identical twins were interesting, though he had never met any before now. "Usually," He replied, as if was the most normal thing ever, "I hope you don't have a problem with stealing. We have to to survive here." He nodded to them saying they would show Katelin nothing but kindness,"Good. She needs more of that in her life," The last part was slightly muttered. "We have food. Katelin made Spaghetti for dinner. It has some meat in it," He said. He shook his head to the money,"Keep it. You may need it for something else later."
He started heading to the room with the beds, gesturing for them to follow. Just outside of the room, he poked his head in,"Katelin, we're coming in," He said, as to not startle her with the new people. He then headed in to the room. In the room there was an ice chest in one corner, and next to the ice chest was a pan of spaghetti. He gestured to it,"Help yourselves," He said, going over to a corner of the room that was clear apart from a pile of burned logs. He took a thing of matches out of his pockets and started a fire, then closed the door to the room the beds were in so the heat would be trapped in there. "I need to steal some heaters or something," He muttered. He would need ones that didn't require electricity to work, of course.
Katelin peeked her head out of the blankets when Hornet said that she could come out. She didn't really do much other then poking her head out though. After a bit she sat up and leaned against the wall at the head of her mattress. When her brother said they were coming in, she pulled the blankets up to her nose, so she was just a head from the eyes up peeking above the blankets. After that she just kind of stayed there, watching everything.
