Hornet felt slightly bad for Katelin, because she seemed so easily scared and startled. She told herself that she'd help Diego with her as much as possible. Maybe get her to relax and trust people again. She didn't know what happened before Diego and Katelin arrived here, but she had this feeling that it wasn't exactly good. All she knew was that she was thankful that they were capable of taking people in, because she didn't really know what she would of done otherwise. She had pretty much left her family in blind anger at her parents for clearly not wanting her, and arguing over not wanting to take her, instead of wanting to take her. But in the end, she figured an orphanage would be better then running away, once she had calmed down: Until she ran across Diego and Katelin, and they took her in as their own.
When Diego came in with the new people and lit the fire, she let out a sigh of relief at some heat. "Man, that feels good" She said quietly, closing her eyes and taking in the warmth. She glanced over to Rickon, and then looked back to the others and put a finger to her mouth. "Shh, he's sleeping" She said in a whisper, just to make sure they'd keep it down. She yawned herself, and pondered going to sleep as well, but for now stayed awake with the others.
She noticed Katelin, and stood up from her own sitting position beside Rickon on the floor, where she was reading to him, to go over to Katelin. She sat down next to her and smiled at her. "It's okay" She said to Katelin, and offered to put an arm around her to comfort her and make her more relaxed if she want. But she knew how jumpy Katelin could be, so she didn't just put the arm around her without permission, in case it scared her. She didn't even know if Katelin 100% trusted her yet, since she hadn't exactly been here for massively long either. It still had been maybe a week or so, though. She couldn't recall exactly.
