Dustin lead a small group toward what just looked like a hill with a bunch of bushes. He lead them behind some of the bushes and into a dip that didn't seem like it should be there. "Here, this is where I heard the entrance is," He said, crouching down and feeling around the area at the bottom of the dip. After a bit, he seemed to find what he was looking for, and pulled up an area of grass. Underneath it was a trap door. He pulled up the the door and grinned, "Lady's first?" He asked. Assuming they went in, he climbed down the rickety ladder behind them and closed the trapdoor, since it wouldn't stay open on it's own. It was basically pitch black down there, but they could tell they were standing on a downward slope.
Dustin pulled his video camera out of his backpack and turned it on, turning on the black-and-white night vision it had. "Looks like it slopes down for a ways," He said. Like Saoirse, he had a accent, though his was a lot fainter. It sounded like it was Irish or something along those lines, also like Saoirse, though much less noticeable. "Shall we go?" He asked, looking at the others. Of course he couldn't see them unless he turned his camera toward them, at least until his eyes adjusted a bit, even though it had been dark and night time outside.

Saoirse followed Dustin, one of her best friends, around to the place they had heard rumors that it was haunted. She had actually been giggling and chuckling earlier, in excitement of the idea of having a great opportunity to be adventurous, and a little bit mischievous. Just the idea of it made her happy enough to start giggling. Though, she made sure she wasn't too loud about it. She assisted Dustin by shining her headlamp down on the area Dustin was looking for something at, and kept watch at the same time, in case someone was following them or something. When she saw the trap door, she looked surprised, but then smiled and chuckled, heading in without a word. The darkness surprised her, even though it was expected, and thankfully she wasn't scared of the dark or anything. She climbed down the ladder slowly, to make sure she didn't like, fall and die by stepping wrong in the dark.
Once they were down, Saoirse looked back and forth, checking out what the area looked like with her headlamp. "Yeah" She said in response to Dustin, watching him get his video camera out. She obviously didn't comment on his Irish accent, because being friends and all, she probably noticed and pointed that out a long time ago at school or something. Again, to what he said, she said "Yeah", and looked down the sloped path, trying to see how far it went with her light.

Alanna followed two of her close friends toward this weird abandoned tunnel system. She patted her sword, and already had her pistol drawn, she had a little fear of the dark, because of her stupid friends in Hungary kept scaring her in the dark with animal noises. She grumbled something in Hungarian to herself as she flicked her small underbarrel light on. She looked down the hatch and said "Used to explore Catacombs all the time in France, Italy and Austria. Plus I used to explore the fallout shelters of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and Present day Peoples Republic of China. This shouldn't be that different." however her fair fear of the dark made her let Saoirse go first, and she went shortly after, her.
She looked around, pointing her gun around, muttering some Austrian-German under her breath, remembering her friends jumping her in Catacombs. She went over to the ladder and tied some string to it, and explained "So we don't get lost." her accent was really weird, faint, but changing depending on the word, on some words you could swear she was Russian, others Hungarian, others Korean, and others even Irish. She nodded to their idea, shining her pistol based light around.

"Were any of them rumored to be haunted?" Dustin asked Alanna in a playful, mysterious voice. As mentioned before, he followed after the girls, closing the trap door as he did. "Here, wait a sec," He said, once they were all ready to go. He pulled something out of a side pouch of his backpack and turned it on. At first it make a kind of high-pitched squeal, then quieted down. "Ok....EMF is at a base of .01-.02." He put the device in his pocket,"I wanted to check that because I've heard that a high electromagnetic field can make people think they're seeing or hearing things. I don't know if it's true or not, but I believe it is, and if it was high, that would explain the 'hauntings'. But, it's low, and there's not really anything that would cause an electromagnetic field in here, anyway." He turned on his flashlight, which was strapped to his arm so he didn't have to hold it, then started leading the way deeper into the tunnels.
For a while they just kind of walked down this slanted hallway. After a while it leveled out, and that's when they started to see room and stuff branching off of the main hallway. It was then that Dustin paused slightly, putting his finger to his lips. Assuming they stopped and were quiet, they heard nothing, just dead silence. Dustin gave a shrug, then said,"Let's explore down this tunnel," Pointing his camera down a small side tunnel. He headed in, occasionally glancing back to make sure no one was freaking out to much or anything. If anyone was paying attention enough to notice, there were the sounds of four different sounds of footsteps. Three could be explained, one couldn't.

Siaorse nodded to Alanna when she tied the string to the ladder for a marker. "Better if we had some reflective ribbon or something" She said more to herself then anyone else. She shined her headlamp around for a bit while Dustin looked at the EMF thingy, and when he started to talk about what it read, she just seemed more confused. He was the tech nerd, and she wasn't, so. But, being the tech nerd he was, he ended up explaining it quite well. "You really are the tech nerd, aren't you?" She said with a grin, before following him down the slanted hallway, shining her light around.
When Dustin stopped, she stopped. This place interested her quite a lot, with all the rooms and tunnels branching off and such. She knew they could explore in here for countless hours, maybe even finding something rather interesting and old in here, if they were lucky. It was more likely they would find some crazy homeless guy or something along those lines, though, but she was hopeful. That was if they really wanted to explore for countless hours and possibly get completely lost. She figured there was probably more then one exit out of here, though. She stayed quiet, not saying anything, and when he shrugged and said something, she just nodded to him and followed him, shining the headlamp down the tunnel. When he looked back at them, she smiled at him, and jokingly said "Don't worry about me, I don't freak out in the dark easy", as if she read his mind. It was more likely she just assumed that was why he glanced back. She didn't notice the extra footsteps, because she wasn't very good at gauging extra footstep sounds, though she did feel a little uneasy about something. Not enough to really care, though.

Alanna nodded slightly "Yup, in Austria, there was one filled with skulls, it was really creepy, and like off of the maps. Found some really cool things down there, Austrio-Hungarian, and Nazi German artifacts we collected, it was exceptionally creepy." she smiled slightly at him and decided to ask "Wouldn't it be more effective to bring like, a Carbon monoxide detector rather than an EMF detector, I mean, we can hunt ghosts or whatever, but I would rather not hunt ghosts as a ghost." she thought for a moment "We could encounter heavy elements down here, that might produce electromagnetism, so if that thing goes off, we need to immediately turn around for fear of radiation."
She appropriately stopped when told too and stayed quiet, pointing her gun and thus flashlight around the small cavern. She nodded to him when before walking in front of them in the side tunnel "You know I really fell like a merc, because I'm looking for cool old stuff, ie payment, and carrying a gun to protect us all with. It is kinda weird, and creepy, but at the same time, awesome." she listened intently, more for something like mice, or angry hobos, but heard echos and said "How nifty, there is a cool echo in here. Can you guys hear our footsteps?"

Dustin listened to what Alanna said about the haunted place, nodding slightly, but not feeling the need to say anything. "Don't worry, I've read about this place. They test it for things like Carbon monoxide and radiation and stuff like that, but EMF," He kind of did a little shrug,"It's not life threatening, as far as I know. Just, it can make you think you're seeing things, hearing things, smelling things. It can even make you feel sick, as far as I know, but I don't think it's deadly, so it's unlikely for them to check it. And as I said, I read that they tested it for radiation, and found none, so I don't think we need to worry about that." He just smiled at Siaorse said he was a tech nerd.
"What are you planning on protecting us from, though?" Dustin asked,"As far as I've heard, there's nothing down here apart from rumored haunting, and you can't exactly shoot a ghost, as far as I know." Listening for any homeless people would probably be pretty pointless, since this place was just recently discovered, and up until very recently had other people around it like, constantly. When Alanna said she heard echos, he stopped, which pretty much meant everyone else had to stop, since he was in front and it was kind of narrow. As soon as they stopped the other footsteps stopped. "Huh," He said, giving a slight shrug before continuing onward for a bit. Before long he stopped again, but this time, after they all stopped, there was what sounded like one faltering step after no one else was moving. Like someone else was trying to walk in time with them, but hadn't expected them to stop.

Soairse kinda just listened to everyone, though she smiled at various things that were said, while moving her head to look around. When Alanna talked about echoes, at first she smiled and said "I love the sound of echoes", in a way that made it sound like the sounds of echoes were peaceful to her, in a way, and were just totally neat. She also nodded to her asking if they could hear their footsteps. When Dustin stopped, she stopped too, and seemed a little worried and on edge, like she felt something was off and wrong, and Dustin stopping didn't help her any. She ended up following him again, and stopping, knowing what he was trying to do by that. "Um, okay, creepy..." She muttered, turning around and trying to look for the source of the steps. At the moment, she still honestly didn't believe the place was haunted, but that would change before too long. She wasn't one to quickly believe in weird stuff like that, but that didn't mean she wasn't interested in that kind of stuff. She was the adventurous type after all, that was always into learning more and more information. "Maybe it's an echo effect playing tricks on us...." She said quietly, almost sounding hopeful.

"It gives me peace of mind Dustain. Besides, I always believed that we have more to fear from the living then we do the dead. Even if it is ghosts, if they are the evil torturing kind, like in Hellraiser, well, then a bullet from this gun will make a lovely last meal." Alanna said with a smile and a nod to the gun, after all, quickly blowing her brains out sounded a lot better than being tortured to death. She then thoughtfully asked "In that situation, would you like me to end it for you two?" giving them each a fake pow sound while pointing her gun at them. She abruptly stopped, almost running smack into Dustain. She listened and shrugged slightly, keeping her gun pointed forward, and followed him closely when he moved again. She nodded slowly to Soairse and sounded equally hopeful "Oh yeah, I'm sure. I would fire a shot to confirm, but I'm afraid of like TNT residue."

"Well, there shouldn't be anyone living down here. The government people have left, and this place was undiscovered when they found it, meaning there won't be any homeless people in here, but suit yourself. Can ghosts torture you if you can't shoot them? Seems like if you can't shoot them, they wouldn't be able to hurt you," Dustin said. He looked at Soairse when she said she loved the sound of echos, then glanced back at Alanna when she asked a question. "Um. I think you're taking this ghost business a bit seriously. They don't exist," He said. When they all stopped, he clapped his hands together. It made a loud echo, but it didn't sound the same as the footsteps. "Weird," he said, continuing on. The footsteps seemed to have stopped, but now there was another sound. It was so faint and quiet it was hard to tell what it was. Eventually Dustin stopped and said," Is that...singing?" It did in fact sound like a woman singing faintly.

Saoirse had to agree with Dustin that Alanna was sounding far too serious about this whole ghost hunting thing. But even still, she responded to what Alanna said about shooting them if it came to it, if they were getting tortured or something. "Um, sure, but only if the torture seems like it will last for a long, painful time. If it is a little bit of torture, I can deal with it" She said, twitching uncomfortably at the whole idea of torture. She thought of pretending to be shot when Alanna pretended to shoot her, but decided against it. With the weird sounds going on, she just kept following Dustin while feeling a little unsettled and nervous. When he stopped again, she stopped as well. She stayed very quiet and listened for the sound he was listening to, and gave a slight nod. "I think it is. Why is someone singing in here?" She asked, looking a little worried about this whole weird and creepy situation going on.
