Shasta Dam, Shasta Imperial Dictatorship[/i] Two people ran along the damn, screaming "Fire fire, all batteries fire at once. Targeting pattern Alpha Gamma Charlie." their orders were followed by crews sending the targeting data to the massive howitzers floating on barges via signal flag. Missile crews loaded medium range rockets into large satellite guided batteries. The roar of firepower launched to support their forces in Oakland, and San Francisco. Small drones took off from a jerry rigged aircraft carrier floating on the lake, made to survey the situation across the small empire. Their war against the Red Zones began, and without the Red Zones, the Grey zones could relocate, blue zones could expand, and independent human yellow zones could be absorbed. The grand war plan had been confirmed with Graveminds from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Modesto, along with human groups based out of Reno, Carson, and Hawthorn. Step one began, saturation bombardment of the Red Zones in SF and Oakland.
San Francisco, Embarcadero Station The old MUNI station was comparatively alive today, the central base of all Shasta forces in San Francisco. Soldiers had brought everyone they could underground from the Blue zone and even the nearby areas of the Red Zone, to avoid unnessiary deaths from the 7th attempt to push the Zombies out of the Red Zones. The troops had gotten the last people in just as the bombs began to fall, and the base commander called out "Seal the entrances." and large concrete blocks were lowered into place where the entrances were. A few soldiers climbed in hydraulic based quad machinegun turrets, and others got duel minigun turrets that overlooked the stairs into the lower levels of the facility. More soldiers checked cameras, ready to blow C-4 in case of a mass infected attack.
The base commander stood in front of the small group of survivors, and smiled saying "Good day people, I am sorry for interrupting your day, but our bombardment has begun in our Seventh attempt to push the Infected out of the city. Now I am Major Gordon Borington, of the 12th Shasta Mechanized Marines Company. Now, there are a few ground rules to MUNI E station. First of all, non immune people must maintain full gas mask protection at all times. Second, there will be over pressure areas with fresh filtered oxygen for gas filter replacement, carriers may not enter these areas under any circumstances under penalty of death. Lastly, please obey our local soldiers, they are here for your safety, not to impose their will onto you." he gave them all a smile before asking "Any questions?"

Hera had been going through a rough time. She had been stuck, alone, through the entire duration of the infection, fighting for survival. Multiple times she had run out of ammo, and had to resort to only using her sword to fight, before gathering more ammo in different ways, from getting it from the infected, to getting it from gun shops that weren't completely looted. Once she even got it from a person that was still an actual human being, who had tried to kill her for her supplies. Obviously, it didn't go well for him. Throughout the time, she had experienced multiple injuries of varying degrees of seriousness. Like when she got attacked by the douchebag, while fending him off, she had his knife being slowly pushed into her arm and cutting into her skin, before she managed to push him off and stab him with her sword, effectively killing him. Her most recent, and likely most severe injury, was when a Spitter attacked her. She didn't get hit directly with its acid, but a bit of it had hit her arm and burned it pretty severely. As you would expect, it hurt like hell, but she clearly managed to shoot the infected before it spit on her again. After that, she had poured water over it to stop it from burning, wrapped it up in some of the gauze she brought with her, and moved on. To be exact, this injury happened today, but a few hours ago, so it was still fresh and painful when she arrived to the Bunker.
"Don't shoot! I'm not one of the infected!" She shouted as she headed towards the entrance of the bunker she had heard about being made in the subways. She was climbing down the stairs to the entrance from the outside. When she had found out about the bunker, she was relieved, because being alone all the time was beginning to really get to her. If having to kill her family wasn't bad enough, the added on struggle for survivor, being so alone and feeling hopeless and helpless repeatedly, going for days without food, not getting a good nights sleep since the infection, and so on, were all really messing with her, and she didn't like the feelings she was getting from it all. So she decided she would try her luck with getting into the bunker for some safety. Being right outside the door, she had her hands in the air, and said "Can you please let me in?". The fact she was covered in blood from the infected probably made them not immediately sure if they wanted to really let her in or not. Her clothes looked torn and dirty, and she looked dirty and worn out herself. She literally felt like she could fall asleep any minute.
From behind her, coming down the stairs, she heard a moaning sound that sounded like a zombie. In response, she quickly spun around, pulled her handgun out of her holster while spinning, took the safety off, and shot the the zombie square in the head, splattering his brains and blood everywhere. But since it was far enough away from her, it splattered all over the steps, not her. She didn't really need to be anymore dirty and covered in blood then she already was, anyway. She put the safety back on, and put the weapon back into its holster, turning back to the entrance of the place.
Abigail and Darrel Abigail wandered down the street with her sniper rifle slung over her shoulder, a backpack on, and her handgun in a holster. She seemed a little quiet today, and distant, but likely because she was thinking about the "people" she had killed, her parents, and other various things that got to you. She didn't seem to be in a terrible mood, though, just a little down. They had a particular goal, which was the bunker they heard about. That was making her a little nervous, because she had no idea how hostile said bunker was, and she would rather not be just killed by crazy folk. She looked over at Nick, then Darrel, then Elizabeth, with an uncertain look on her expression, before biting her lip. "What if they just shoot us on sight?" She asked them, looking worried. She had always been someone who worried easy, so the zombie apocalypse didn't help that for her in the slightest. But, even with that, she seemed to be even more worried then usual. Maybe it had to do with the bad mistake back at their bunker. Maybe not. It was just plainly obvious she was more paranoid and worried then usual.
Darrel was also walking down the street, seeming alert and giving stuff weird expressions. He didn't seem nearly as worried about everything as Abigail was being, maybe because he was too stupid to worry. Though, that wasn't really the case. He just seemed not very bright about everything. He took off his hat and scratched his head with it, before putting it back on as Abigail began to speak her concerns.
"I seriously doubt that will happen, Abigail. I wouldn't worry" He told her, which didn't really make Abigail feel better in the slightest. Practically nothing Darrel ever said made her feel better, even if it was something more positive that SHOULD make her feel better. But because it was said by him, who had gotten them in trouble enough times already, she couldn't feel that positive about it. Before she could really think much more on that particular subject though, she heard a gun fire, and from her knowledge of guns, which wasn't much, she thought it sounded like a handgun. It wasn't very far away either, and instinctively, she ducked, and so did Darrel, even though it wasn't anywhere near hitting them. "Hopefully that is being fired by someone sane" She said, stopping her moving altogether and looking at the others, not entirely sure what to do. Heading towards the shooting didn't sound the most brilliant, in case it was someone insane. Darrel just kept walking towards the shooting sounds, saying "It's probably the bunker!", apparently not thinking about anything else related to what the shooting's reasoning could possibly be.
After Everyone Got Let In Seeing as Abigail, Darrel, and Hera just arrived, they didn't really feel like their day was that interrupted. Abigail was staying close to Nick, feeling slightly uncomfortable in an unknown place full of people she wasn't sure she could trust. Mostly, the people managing the place. So because of being unsettled by the whole thing, she was staying close to Nick because she felt safer with him. She didn't really consider herself to be a complete coward, but she didn't really think of herself as very brave either. Simply listening through all of the speech, she thought for a moment, and just looked over to Nick to see if he had any questions.
Hera listened intently, noting the part about carriers not being allowed in this particular location, and if they are caught there, it is punishable under death. Liking the idea of living, she made a mental note of that. She hadn't fought this long, only to get herself killed by stepping into somewhere she wasn't supposed to be. It took her a bit to think of a question, but something popped into her head. Just getting here, she wasn't all too familiar with some of the living situations.
"Do we have any special area we go to for sleeping? And is there any place to shower?" Hera asked. She noticed some of the people looking her way, and she thought she heard a few people chuckle when she asked if there was a place to shower. Probably because they got one look at her and saw how dirty, blood-covered, and grimy she was, and figured that was why she was asking that. Which it was pretty much the reasoning, though she wasn't that bothered by being dirty really. She just hadn't had a shower in a very long time, and the idea of a hot shower, or at least a shower, sounded very nice, even if it would probably not feel so good on some of her injuries.
Darrel didn't do much other then listen, or pretend to listen to what was being said. While Abigail was staying close to Nick, he had kind of wandered away from them, for no real good reason. When it was asked if they had any questions, he looked thoughtful, when a young girl who looked about 14 spoke up. At least, he thought she looked 14. It was hard to tell underneath all the dirty and blood on the girl. She looked like a girl who had probably seen and been through more things then any 14-year old should have to ever go through. At her last question, he had chuckled, but that was about it. Right now, he couldn't think of any good questions to ask, either.

(Skipping the part before they get in) Nick put his arm around Abigail since she seemed kind of uncomfortable. He understood why she was, since he himself didn't have complete faith in the military actually caring about them. He wasn't sure if he'd just watched to many movies with douchebag military or what. When Abigail looked at him, he asked,"What will happen to Thing?" He asked. Thing may have been an Infected, but he wasn't like other infected. He helped them, and became a friend of theirs. I think he even helped save Abigail's life at one point, and Nick was worried about what they'd do to him. He glanced over at Darrel when he chuckled at the other girl's question involving showers. He wasn't quite sure he wanted to know why he was chuckling at that.
Elizabeth kind of just stayed silent, listening carefully to what was said. She gave a slight nod at Nick's question, like she wanted to know, too, then raised an eyebrow at Darrel. She, like Nick, wasn't convinced about his reason for chuckling at that. She remembered when he had tried to flirt with her. She hoped that, just this once, he would be able to refrain from doing something really stupid. She doubted it, but hoping never hurt anyone.
(Thing) Thing was hanging out wherever he was quarantined at, pacing in circles on his hands and feet, and letting out quiet whining noises. He wasn't sure what was going on. Where was Nick? Where was Abigail? Where were his friends? Why was he stuck in here? He let out another low whine and went and put his hands up against the door.
(King Boris) King Boris was sitting in his safe house somewhere that wasn't getting bombed, watching a bunch of cameras and waiting for the latest guest of his show to wake up. He looked down at the ID he had taken from the guest. "Francis," He read out loud. He then noticed his 'guest', who was in a cage, beginning to stir. The 'Guest' sat up and looked around, "Aw, shit, a cage? I hate cages," He grumbled. King Boris pulled a microphone over to him. "Welcome to Survivors vs Zombies, the goriest most infectious game in town!" He said, and Francis looked around, trying to figure out where the crazy voice was coming from. "I hate gameshows..." He muttered as the door to his cage opened. Francis stepped out of his cage to see Infected in cages near him. The place he at was clearly set up by someone who lacked sanity. It was all blocked in, so he couldn't get out, but there was carnival music playing and what looked like Christmas lights all over the place. It looked like the walls were made of whatever the guy could find. Fences, pieces of metal, gates....buses. On the ground there were a few boxes of what looked like ammo, and some explosive containers. The area was smallish, but big enough to give him room to run around. On the other side of the area was a gun and some ammo. He quickly headed over to it, and as soon as he picked up the ammo on the gun, he heard the cages with the Infected in them opening. "Let the games begin!" Kind Boris said over the sound system.

Hera After she had wasted the zombie, the concrete doors opened and several soldiers rushed out in body armour and assault rifles. They pointed their weapons at her and yelled "Hands above your head, don't make any sudden movements." assuming she complied, given how she was vastly outgunned and outnumbered. The soldiers then asked "Are you immune, carrier, or non immune." one of the soldiers had a gas mask and full chemical suit, showing he was non immune, so it wasn't like she was going to be turned down because of her infection immunity status. One of the soldiers looked more concerned about her then the others, thinking she reminded him of his daughter, and said "What is your name little girl? Are you alone?"
Commander of the Bunker The commander smiled at Hera warmly, thinking of her questions as pretty normal, especially for newcomers. He nodded to both counts "We have fully equipped bunks on the second level, blankets, sheets, and small reading lamps. The showers are also on the second level, try to be easy on the hot water, we only have so much power from Shasta allotted to us each day. We can't use that all on the boilers. Actually, I think I have someone your age who could help show you around the bunker, she wanted to meet someone her own age, and what are the odds, with only 25% of immune people being female." he smiled and nodded to a soldier who spoke into his, or maybe her, it was hard to tell with a gas mask and chemical suit on, radio. The commander looked at nick blankly for a moment before a soldier whispered in his ear "Oh oh, after a blood test, you can go wait for him, the scientists operate to The rear of this level." The commander then said "If you have any other questions, just ask omen of our men or women in uniform."
After maybe a minute a young girl practically hopped up the stairs, smiling at Hera. She nodded to the soldiers who each gave her friendly waves, not a one of them suspecting they were waving to a zombie. She opened a small package of jerky and ate one of the strips and held the package out to Hera with a smile asking "What's your name? I'm Clem, Celmintine if you want to be all facny." there was something just slightly off about her, but nothing you could really put your finger on, just a little bit of uneasyness which could probably be attributed to nerves or something.
Gwen Gwen stood in the group of people waiting to get into the bunker, she was polishing her rifle with a soft cloth as she listened to the base commander. She smiled as he said they could proceed, but decided to finish polishing her rifle first, happy to give it the care it deserved for once. She knew this rifle had served her family through thick and thin. Hell, it had killed 300 Nazis during the war, and probably just as many infected, not one case of jamming up on anyone in her family.

When all the armored men came out and pointed their guns at her, she didn't hesitate for a moment to put her hands behind her head. She knew it was the smart thing to do. She wasn't stupid to try and fight her way out of something like this, especially when she figured it was them being cautious. Even with her believing everything was fine, she couldn't help but feel a little uneasy about the whole thing. Which was understandable when you had assault rifles pointed at you. Not that it was of much importance, but the guards may of noticed that, even though she put her hands up like she was supposed to, she stood her ground, showing that she wasn't one to back down and cower easy. "I'm a carrier" She told them, letting out a sigh at that fact. She thought of lowering her hands, but quickly thought better of it. "My name is Hera Irizarry, and yes I am alone. Have been since this shit started" She said. She didn't completely like being called little girl, but she quickly shook off that thought, because she tried her hardest not to be an ass, and she really thought in general that it really didn't matter. She knew it was her mind thinking about the fact of all she had been through, so its immediate reaction was to take offense to being called a little girl, but in general she really didn't mind.
Hera nodded in understanding to what the Commander said, definitely understanding the being easy on the hot water bit. "Cold water or warm water, it all sounds nice right now" She said, letting out a sigh. The next bit she raised an eyebrow. "How do you know my age? I never told you" She said, but didn't pay it a whole lot of mind. She thought of putting her name in for assisting with resources and whatnot, but decided she would go through that process later. Right now, she wanted a wash and some rest. After getting the tour, obviously.
Hera watched the young girl, not really having a ton of reaction to her. She seemed a little too down to react with a smile when someone acted energetic and cheery. Though, she did smile briefly when she held the package of jerky out to her. For a moment she hesitated to take one, because she felt all grimy and didn't want to be too gross with touching the girls food, but figured that everyone was probably used to eating less-then-pleasant stuff at this point. And her hunger got the best of her. She grabbed a piece of the jerky and started to chew on it. Even though she didn't act like some crazy mindless eater, you could tell she looked rather hungry by the way she was eating it. "My name is Hera" She told her. The bit that seemed off about her Hera seemed to take notice to, but because she had been on edge since the beginning of the infection, she honestly didn't pay it much mind, because she honestly didn't know where the feeling was coming from. "I assume you are the one who will be giving me a tour" She said, finishing up her piece of jerky shortly after speaking.
Abigail Abigail smiled over at Nick when he put an arm around her, instantly feeling more comfortable when he did that. Sure, she still had the worries, but they weren't quite bothering her so much anymore. It surprised her how much something as simple as an arm around her made her feel more comfortable. Since they were just standing there, she leaned her head against his shoulder lovingly, putting her own arm around him. She looked up at him with a sweet, happy smile, which probably showed him that she was happier and more relaxed like this over how she felt previously.
Like Nick, Abigail was worried for Thing's safety. She didn't really say much, though, and just listened to pretty much everything being said. She lifted her head off Nick's shoulder and looked up at him. "Want to go wait for him?" She asked him, her arm still around him. "We got nothing better to do right now" She said, running her hand over her face. "Except maybe try and get 12 hours of solid sleep for once. With everything happening lately, I haven't slept good in a long time, and I could hope that we could sleep better here...." She said, sighing and shaking her head. She was trying to get her hopes up that they actually had comfortable beds and that she wouldn't be plagued by memories of some of the less-then-pleasant things she had done, but it wasn't that easy. "I'll stop rambling...." She said quietly, more to herself then Nick.

Nick smiled at Abigail when she smiled at him. Just seeing her smile made him happy, even in this mess. It was no wonder all their group were close friends, with what they had been through together. They had formed the small group when it started. They were complete strangers then, but they quickly became 'friends.' Even Darrel he would die for. It was the kind of bond only a life or death situation could bring on.
He nodded to Abigail,"As long as there's nothing else we need to do first, sure," He said, then stifled a yawn at what she said,"Hopefully we can sleep well here, though personally I doubt it." He smiled at her again, then said,"It's cute when you ramble." He kept his arm around her as he looked at the guard,"Are we free to go wander now? Nothing else you guys need before we leave?" He asked.

Major The Major smiled at Hera as he calmly said "I am just good at guessing ages. I always have been. But I just ment around your age, despite it being the end of days there is no reason you shouldn't socialize." he then smiled and calmly answered a couple questions about when they could leave, and one guy even if he could join the Shasta army. However one question perked the interest of the commander, a younger Russian looking girl who asked "So, what happened to the tunnels?" to which he responded happily "The ones on the second floor have been sealed off at a reasonable distance from the trains." she nodded, removing a cleaning rod from her rifle's barrel, and seeming pleased by the answer.
Clem Clem seemed to be abundantly happy, even as she watched the girl eat her expensive and hard to obtain jerky, after all it was seen as non essential food items, so it wasn't salvaged much except for the personal use of guards and survivors, which ment she bartered for it. She smiled and nodded when asked if she was giving the tour "Yup. I am." she seemed just happy to be alive, if she was infact still living. She lead her down the flight of stairs and showed her the fact there were two trains, one on each track, each having their seats ripped out in exchange for bunks. She then showed her where the showers and bathrooms were, and also the clean room, and sense they were both carriers she just wanted Hera to know they would be killed for going in there. The final part was going to the last wall where a tables had been set up cafeteria style and food was being served, grilled cheese sandwiches, along with plastic Ikea cups full of milk or water. Clem walked up first and got both of their rations for them, along with a glass of water and milk. She then brought them over to the table where Christopher was, and set their food side by side across from him. Setting the water in front of herself and the milk in front of Hera. She smiled as she said "Dig in." and then after sitting herself said "This is Christopher, he is a guy you can trust. I mean, he is kinda like a psychiatrist for me at least. He will just listen, and I haven't heard him tell a soul about anything." she then smiled as she added "And this is Hera, she is joining the metro."

Abigail nodded to the first bit he said, but that was it. To the next part, she nodded again, and frowned a bit. She looked like she wanted to say something in response to what he said, but any time she opened her mouth she closed it again and looked uncomfortable about something. Eventually she managed to actually get herself to say something. "I...I think I'd be able to sleep better if I was able to cuddle up with you at night" She said in a way like she was admitting something embarrassing, which it was to her since she started blushing after she said that. Then, after her rambling, he said it was cute when she rambled, and she started to blush again, but didn't say anything. After that, she just went back to leaning her head against him while he spoke to the guard.
Hera Hera listened to him speak and nodded faintly. "I haven't socialized much since all of this. I could use some good human interaction. Might help keep me feeling sane" She said with a sigh. Which was pretty much true. All she "socialized" with was thieves, freaks, and briefly talking to other people. It would take her probably about 30 minutes here to get the same amount of socialization she had gotten throughout the whole entire time she was stuck out alone.
She just simply followed her when she said she was the one giving the tour, not really being the overly talkative type. She pretty much did the same with getting a tour, staying quiet and just nodding or looking at what she was being shown. She made a mental note of the place where she would be killed for going in, because of being a carrier and sighing, being irritated that what she could do was restricted because of being a stupid carrier. But she tried not to think of it too much. When they got to the food area, she felt her stomach grumble in response, the jerky not being enough to fill up her stomach. She just followed her, letting Clem get her rations for her since she seemed to be nice enough to do so, then followed her to the table, sitting down next to her since that was where she put her food.
"Thank you, Clem" Hera said to her, smiling over at her then looking at the old man she mentioned. To be nice, she stood up and extended her hand over to him to shake his. He took her hand in his and put his other hand on top of hers, then shook it and gave a slight bow. "It is very nice to meet you, Hera, and welcome to the metro" He said to her. He just gave off the impression of being a really nice person, and Hera definitely felt safer around him, happier, and relaxed, like he just radiated some sort of calmness. She sat back down and started to pick at her food, while Christopher looked towards Clem.
"Thank you for the kind words, Clem" He said in response to her praise about how he was kinda like a psychiatrist and he just listens and reveals nothing to anyone. "It is very thoughtful of you" He said to her, giving a nod in her direction. Hera was just eating in silence because she was still starving and wanted to fill up, and Christopher was busy fiddling with some radio. He had already ate his ration, so he went on to other things.
