Earth, Final Battle of the Reaper War
Alan ducked next to Hawke, calling out "Any available combat teams, respond, we need immediate reinforcements." to which there was a team of Lunan ODSTs and Haikala commando's that both responded that they were in route. Alan chuckled a little at Hawke, for no apparent reason "Hehehe, we have lost more people here then every war in known history combine. More AI then I would think possible." several husks charged them along with a couple of cat person husks who carried assault rifles. Alan leveled his pistol and shot the forward husks with it, and a massive spew of railgun weaponry killed the rest in seconds. The Haikala commandos stood proud behind them, and their leader said "By my ancestors, Hawke, it is beyond an honour. We shall lead the way, by our honour, we shall not fail." they advanced, followed by the team of Lunans, deeper into the building Hawke and Alan were both in. Alan activated his comm system and said "Admiral Xan, we need you to stop the Reapers from leaving the space battle, they are killing so many of our forces with bombardment." the connection was full of static but his words seemed to ring clear "That would be suicide Alan, we have already lost millions." Alan simply responded "Any costs Admiral, any costs." the Admiral disconnected the link, moving his ships into position.
As the pair moved deeper into the city, they had encountered various husks, cat husks, hacked robots, and even new artillery welding Lamia husks. They met up with the other teams of the city, reporting that the majority of the forces didn't make it. Alan, being more of a strategist then Hawke, at least on the large scale, ordered the troops forward in large.vehicular groups, which would be followed by ground troops. Alan held back a group of his robots, along with Hawke, and himself to make the final charge, even if ground forces were too decimated to do so. However things did not go according to plan, and there was screaming over the comms rang the haunting cries from their space flotilla "Oh gods, there are too many, all hands, abandon ship, ab-" "Please, we have 1,300 civilians onboard, please assist, please assist." "We can't hold them admiral, please, at least let the civilians retreat, I beg of y-" Alan looked even more distressed as several capital class Reapers landed, destroying the convoys with impunity. He shook his head "That's it then, there is nothing else to do. I'm sorry Hawke." he then fired a stun pistol into Hawke's guts.
Hawke would awake in a chamber, already sealed as Alan spoke to him through an intercom "Hawke, our time as protectors of the galaxy is over. The Reapers have overrun us, and in the days to come, this cycle will end, and give way for new life. I have made a cache of my robots, they shall be our rightful heirs as caretakers of sentient life. You shall awaken in twenty thousand years, and you will once again lead us, lead us the way only you can." he then smiled and a countdown activated 10..9.. "Hawke, it had been an honour to serve with you, I only wish I could live to see you lead us to victory." 2..1. Nitrogen entered the chamber, flash freezing Hawke in an instant. After Hawke was frozen Alan turned to another robot and said "Omega, lets teach the Reapers there is something infinitely more terrifying then organic life." they each picked up a plasma rifle, and left the small underground bunker, destroying the entrance as they did.
Planet Earth, 50,000 years later
Alex smiled and clapped her robotic hands together in excitement as the crane set up the cryo pod on a platform where they could open it. Today was the happiest day of the comparatively young robot's life, a century of her research coming together in one intact stasis pod. She checked the life signs and was practically bouncing with joy, the human was alive after all these years, oh the millions of questions she had, the samples she would have to take. She readied her language processing software, booting it up into a tool which she automatically uploaded to the human inside the pod, so it would be able to understand them first thing, and vica versa. She rushed up, her two bodyguards lumbering behind her, very ungratefully.
When she reached the pad Han was already there and said in her deep, rather non feminine voice "Oh glorious day, the prophets will be pleased that we have rescued a human from this violation of the holy temple." Alex seemed to ignore Han and instantly went to the stasis pod. One of her body guards, Noso, quickly pointed out "We are in the lawless systems, we should get back to the ship as soon as possible." as they were joined by other members of the team, Alex cracked the pod, ice cold air steaming out as the last human was woken from a 50,000 year sleep.
