Saturday, March 30th, Noon, 2013It was a lovely, beautiful sunny day in Pleasentview, the first truly nice day of spring. For the last 7 days straight, it had been raining off and on, coming from being misty to completely pouring, and before that there was about 10 days of just cloudy weather. So the first nice day in days, it being the perfect spring temperature, and being the weekend brought people out of their houses all over the place to do various different outdoor activities, from riding horses, to dirt biking, to hiking, and so on. On a day like this, the main park part of the lake was bound to be packed with visitors wanting to swim, or just wanting to hang out at the lake for a few hours. Ingram HouseholdCayden and Elika had just moved in today. They had arrived to the house very early in the morning, and so did the moving truck they got to haul their stuff here. Their house wasn't very impressive, but it was all they could really afford. However, the house across the street looked much more impressive then theirs. The neighborhood was just one of those neighborhoods, one that had a rather large varying of house types. The town itself wasn't that impressive, but some fairly wealthy people did live out here, because of property being cheaper out here to build houses on then, say, in the cities. By the time it was noon, the truck was unloaded and everything was in the house or the garage. That didn't mean everything was unpacked. There were a lot of boxes sitting in the garage, Cayden's bedroom, and Elika's bedroom, along with pretty much every room in the house. They had their car parked in the driveway right now, and anyone who saw it would likely instantly take note that the car had to be 30 or 40 years old, at least. To tell the truth, they were barely keeping the car running, and during their vacation had to struggle with it multiple times. But it was all they had, and as long as it worked, that was good enough for them. Since they were mostly settled in, with everything being in the house, they decided that they would go and visit the neighbors across the street, to see what their neighbors were like, and to just introduce themselves to the neighbors in general. They thought about going to various different neighbors around the area and introducing themselves, but they weren't sure if they were going to do that yet or not, or just meet the neighbors directly across from them in the rather large but not overly so house. They started heading across the street, and Elika had her cellphone in her hand. Cayden noticed, but just shook his head to himself. He didn't really know who she was talking to. Maybe one of her old friends. Or maybe it was her mother. It didn't really matter to him, and he just walked up to the front door of the Drake household, knocking on the door 3 times hard and waiting to see if he got an answer. In the meantime, Elika was right by Cayden's side, staring down at her cellphone and texting intently as if she wasn't like, outside some other persons home, and instead was back at her own house. Or, at least somewhere other then acting as if she was visiting a neighbor, because she really didn't act like she was visiting anyone by the fact she was more focused on her phone then the location she was at. Wilson HouseholdMeanwhile, at the Wilson household, things were a bit different. Clara's dad was beginning to plan for the yearly family spring vacation, and even the summer vacations. It was almost guaranteed that wherever he chose, it would be a beautiful place for the whole family, and sometimes even for others. A lot of the time they went on the trips just as a family, but every now and then they added others. They did multiple vacations during this time after all, so it wasn't like they didn't have some free time for family and for traveling with friends, too. There wasn't a lot of people they knew nearby, though, and sometimes the people they traveled with were just family, too. It didn't help that Clara barely had any friends to take with her anywhere. After he spent a while looking through stuff, he headed up stairs to try and convince his daughter to go outside. All day she had just been sitting in her room, listening to music or doing stuff on her laptop. But he wanted to convince her that she should get some sunlight on a nice day like this, and not just sit in her room all day doing nothing but listening to music. This wasn't the first time he had tried to convince his depressed daughter to go outside, so he knew that it would probably be easier said then done to actually convince her to do anything at all. And from what he could tell earlier, she seemed to be in one of her not so great moods, which seemed to make her cranky. He pushed her door open slowly, since she had left it slightly open, and came in. She was laying on her bed, ear buds in, listening to some upbeat Agent Fresco. Seeing her dad, she barely gave him any acknowledgement, and continued to just lay on her bed, staring up at the ceiling with her ear buds in. As if he expected her to hear him, he said "Clara, you should really get up and go enjoy the outdoors. It is a really nice day out and it could be good for you" He said, though he didn't exactly know what Clara would be able to do. He was sure she could find something. Clara actually noticed him talking, and took her ear buds out in time to hear what he was saying to her. She already knew what he was going to say the instant he walked into the room, and she wasn't far off from being right. "Dad, I feel like staying in my room today. I'll go outside on another sunny day" She said, waving her hands at her dad as if trying to shoo him away. "Don't worry about me, you know how these days can be" She said, getting ready to put her ear buds back in, when her dad spoke again. Her dad sighed, expecting that answer the instant he asked his question. It was so hard to get her to do anything sometimes, though he thought she was generally pretty good at doing the chores she was supposed to do. "Come on Clara, you know the sun would be good for you. You could even help me plan our next trip while we both get some fresh air together. Or maybe even talk about our favorite hobbies, or our favorite times together" He said, trying to be hopeful that she would come out and at least talk to him like a normal person. He knew it was likely that what he was trying to say would do nothing. Clara let out a sigh. "Dad, just leave me alone please. If I feel like coming outside, I will. Let me decide that for myself. Go and play Depression Quest or something, maybe you'll learn a thing or two" She said, rolling over on her bed and getting ready to put her ear buds in again. Her dad let out his own sigh, feeling slightly hurt by her words, though they weren't that bad. He just wanted to spend time with her. The last comment about this game she referred to called Depression Quest he didn't really get, but he felt that it was her attempt to insult him about something. Probably insulting him and saying he doesn't understand depression, or something along those lines. Figuring that prying any further would just piss her off more and likely make her say something hurtful, he just gave up and left, shutting the door behind him. Clara just went back to listening to her music in peace. Broadwhick HouseholdIt was a nice sunny day, so without a second thought, Caterina decided it would be a good day to head outside and appreciate the fresh air. She thought of heading to the lake, since it wasn't very far from her house, but in the end decided that sitting on her parents house' deck was perfectly fine. Today, she was dressed in a fairly simple black shirt, with her hair up and her favorite hat on (Pretty much exactly like the biggest picture for her appearance in her app). While maybe not being a professional stylist, she did love to pick out outfits for herself that she liked the most, this one being one of those. Her style of clothing she wore could vary quite a bit, from bright clothes to rather dark clothes. Never did her parents pick out clothes for her. The outfits she chose and came up with were all her idea. It just gave her something to do when she bought clothes. Which she did a decent amount, but not overly so. She already had a rather impressive, but not overly large wardrobe full of outfits as is, that she chose different one's from depending the occasion, or day. She even picked different one's depending on her mood, but that wasn't exactly the case today. Today, Caterina was starting on a new book called Magyk from the Septimus Heap series, by Angie Sage. She heard a lot of good things about the book series from opinions of people she trusted on the Internet, so she decided to give it a chance. Seeing as she had a rather large collection of books anyway, even some that weren't technically appropriate for her age, she would of probably found it herself eventually and bought it. It was likely that she got her love of books from her dad, who was a fairly successful author. Which is probably partly why they had the money they did to buy so many books for their daughter, possibly expensive clothes for her, and living in a house like this on a lake. Or, maybe she just had a natural love for books, it was hard to know. While her dad was a successful author, her mother was a fairly successful architect. She had pretty much designed the concept for their house herself, though of course got input from her husband. Other then small bits, they didn't get much input from their daughter though. The house was created 5 years ago, so she would of been 9, and even though she had a very active imagination for her age, she didn't really care what the house looked like. Her parents have still lived in this town way before this house was built, in different houses. So her parents planned ahead, and made her a room that she would like as a kid and as a teenager, and maybe even as an adult, so they wouldn't have to change it. She found the comfy bench they put cushions on, on the deck above the patio, and laid down on it. They put the cushion on it today after it stopped raining, because leaving the cushion on during the rainy season would be a little dumb. Before coming outside to hang out and read, she had been doing some stuff inside, like some chores she was behind on, tiding up her room a little (like her book collection), and so on. But now it was noon and she was done with all of that, and now it was time for her to just lay back and read a new book. Her dad was sitting not far away on his laptop, typing away. Even on weekends her father was working. He had been working rather hard on his next book over the weekend, even though he had as much free time on the weekdays as weekends, seeing as he works from home. She figured he probably just had a creative outburst. It made sense to her. She didn't feel like interrupting him, so she popped open her book and focused her attention on that. Her mom on the other hand was just inside watching TV, but she had plans to come out and enjoy the sunny day more later. (Appearance for mom and dad.)

(The Drake Household) The Drakes had all been very pleased to see that it was a nice day. Slater took the chance to get some practice, and had headed to the barn quite early. His mom had put together a picnic basket and went on a hike to the lake. It wasn't a super long hike, and they had a private horse trail leading from behind the barn out to the lake. At about Noon, Slater was in one of the tree pastures, and was going over a bunch of show jumps. There was a pretty good view of the pasture from the house and driveway, and if the new neighbors saw him, they could probably tell that he was very concentrated, and looked like someone who knew what they were doing. That is, if they weren't distracted by Mahogany's beautiful coat that glimmered in the bright noon sun. Or the way she flew smoothly over the jumps. It kinda depended on how much they appreciated the beauty of horses.
The view of the pasture was probably blocked once they set foot on the deck of the house, so they couldn't see that Slater had pulled his horse to a stop and glanced in their direction. Before long the two guests would hear hoofbeats coming toward them. Slater rounded the corner, dressed in a typical Show Jumping outfit and leading Mahogany behind him. He walked up to the steps and stopped, resting his foot on the bottom step and looking up at the guests. "Hi," He said,"My mom's at the lake, if you're looking for her." His attention was drawn away from them a bit as a hummingbird flew by. He watched it leave, then looked at the guests,"You must be the new neighbors. I saw the trust across the street earlier." He pulled his helmet off, letting his kind of crazy red hair fall free. He ruffled it up a bit then gave the guests a smile.
(The Vallen Household) The Vallen sisters were in the only place they would want to be: The barn. It was built in the forest a little ways away from the house and lake. It was good sized, but not huge. It had as much space as it needed. Which was room for about 6 horses and a hay loft. It was rustic, and matched their house well. There were two pastures around it. One was in a clearing, and the other was much more forested.
Avaline and Evalina were both hard at work inside the stable. Evalina was cleaning out Rica's stall while Avaline was giving Rica a good clean. "It's so nice out today. I mean, there's sun!." Avaline said, cleaning out Rica's hooves. "Yeah. I can't wait for the spring competition! Maybe we'll manage to beat Slater this year," Evalina replied. "Maybe. We better get practicing, though. I saw him out there early this morning working on his show jumping when I went to the store," Avaline set Rica's hoof down and picked up a brush,"I also saw that there was someone new moving into the mobile home across from his house." Evalina scooped a load of crap into the wheelbarrow,"Maybe they'll ride horses! We could use some more students," She said. "Yeah. By the way, I found out when the horse sale is! It's in a couple weeks," Avaline said,"I love going to those! Even if it's to just look at horses, rather then buy any." Evaline nodded and wheeled the wheelbarrow out of the stall. "All done in there. As soon as you're done, it's Rico's turn!" She said, taking the wheelbarrow to a pile of manure outside and dumping it. Once she came back in, she said,"We really need someone to come take away the manure pile, it's getting big." Avaline nodded and gave Rica one last brush before leading her back into her stall. "Your turn, my beauty!" She said, clipping a lead line to his halter and leading him out into the hall. They both then repeated the cleaning and chatting.
(The Bloom household) May, of course, was sitting with her kitties. She had Snowbell in her lap and was bottle feeding her, since Snow, her mom, didn't have enough milk of her own. Snow sat near May's knee, watching her carefully. Sir-Pounce-Alot was sitting on one of the shelves made for cats, watching the room with narrowed eyes. Peek-a-boo was nowhere to be seen. Arial was sitting in a window. Six was waiting for food. Tahoe was in the litter box and Shadow was sitting in a box.
After May was done bottle feeding the little kitten, she got up, went to the kitchen part of the cat house and grabbed 7 bowls and started filling them up with food, before setting them out on the floor. She then filled up 3 big bowls with milk, and also put them on the floor, as well as refilling the water bowls that were already in there. Once that was done, she sat down in a chair and happily watched her little kitties eat. She was also there to make sure they didn't brawl for food.

Seeing as Elika was in the world of her phone, Cayden was the only one who immediately took notice of the man and his horse running in the pasture. He thought the guy looked pretty professional, and that the horse looked really good, too, in both its coat color and performance. He knew that Elika could appreciate horses, because she did do some riding before, but figuring that they would be introduced to him at some point anyway, he let Elika continue to stare at her phone.
As they sat outside the house for a bit, getting no answer, they started to hear the sound of a horse approaching, and after Elika hurriedly sent one last text message, she stopped staring at her cellphone and slipped it into her pocket. When the horse showed up, she looked at it with amazement. The horse had an absolutely beautiful coat, nothing like any horse she had seen before. Other then letting out a bit of a "Wow", she didn't actually say anything about his horse yet, and neither did Cayden, waiting for him to greet them first. Nobody seemed to answer the door, so they both figured he was the only one here. "Nah, we just wanted to meet our neighbors right across from us" Elika said before her dad could speak up, so he just kept quiet. Elika watched the hummingbird he was watching, and smiled a bit, but didn't seem to be watching it as much as him. "Yup, that would be us" Cayden said, chuckling slightly. "Our house isn't much to look at, compared to yours. Neither is our car" He said, and in the meantime Elika was talking to herself in her head. She hadn't noticed it until he took his helmet off, but she thought he was rather attractive. Great, out of all the people I could be attracted to, it just had to be the neighbors right across the streets son she thought to herself. Man do I hate turning into a teenager sometimes She thought some more. She had turned 13 only about a month 1/2 ago, and even though she had found boys attractive before then, she felt that in the last month alone she found more boys attractive, and in some ways it was irritating her. Deciding to ignore her teenaged thoughts, she turned back to the boy and said "You have a beautiful horse", seeming completely normal and not like she had thought he was attractive or anything.
Cayden seemed to know his daughter though, and he looked over at her with a grin, either noticing something slightly off about her, already knowing her taste in boys, or just automatically doing that because he was a boy relatively around her age, even though he looked a few years older then her. Elika noticed this, and gave her dad a brief "Keep your mouth shut" look, before looking back at the boy. "I went riding a couple of times, and while I enjoyed it, never really did much with it beyond that. I have other hobbies I focused on more" She said to him. Her dad just let her speak to him right now, figuring it would be good for her to make a new friend. Seeing as she had to leave her friends, making new one's would be good for her. She never had a ton of friends, preferring to hang out with her parents, but she still had some friends she had to leave behind. Of course, she could still text message them on her phone, and would very likely do so.

Slater nodded to what Elika said about coming to meet the neighbors across from them,"If you feel like visiting anyone else, I'll be glad to tell you which people are worth visiting," He said. He gave a slight shrug and looked at his house,"The house isn't that nice. Inside's nicer," He said, then looked over his shoulder at their house. "Sometimes a small cozy house is all one needs, who cares how it looks?" He said. It was probably that attitude right there that made his family not be snobby, even if they were somewhat rich. When she said his horse was beautiful, he smiled and ran his hand across Mahogany's cheek,"Thanks. I have another horse, too," He said.
When Cayden looked over at his daughter and grinned, Slater raised an eyebrow very slightly, but didn't say anything. "There are twins that live by the lake that give riding lessons, if you ever want to learn more. Or you could come ride Mahogany if you just feel like riding," He then looked at his horse and said,"Shall we walk and talk, I need to cool her down." With that, he gave them a little gesture to follow and started leading Mahogany down the driveway toward the bar.

Elika smiled some more. "That would be very generous of you" She said to him. It was clear that even though she may come off as a stereotypical teenager who never leaves her phone and socializes on her phone more then with the people around her, she was clearly not a rude person. And it wasn't just because he was a boy near her age. She did this with everyone that rightfully deserved it. Cayden loved this about his daughter, that she could always be so polite to people. And considering how nice this boy was to offer to tell them who was worth visiting, he seemed like he'd be quite nice, too. Both Elika and Cayden nodded in agreement to him saying who cared how it looked. "We would both love something better, but it isn't that bad. It could be a much worse mobile home. Or worse, a trailer" He said, shaking his head at that thought. "No problem" She said to him, smiling some more and looking at the horse for a bit, then moving on.
Elika noticed Slater's look. Did he catch on to what her dad was laughing at? She hoped not. That would be embarrassing. She already felt her cheeks turn warmer. God, I feel like an idiot She thought, but quickly moved on. Sadly, the first thing that came to her mind when he talked about these twins and riding lessons was money. The fact she was 13 and money worried her like this was rather sad. "How much would the riding lessons cost me?" She asked him, giving off a concerned look. She heard him when he said she could just come over and ride Mahogany too, but was worrying about the money part so much that she didn't respond to it. If she had, she would think that was a very polite thing to offer to someone you just met a few minutes ago. She liked this guy already, because he seemed rather kind and polite. The both of them when he talked about walking and talking because he needed to cool off the horse just nodded, and started to follow him.
"I never got your name" Elika said, pushing a strand of her hair back behind her ear while glancing over at him at the same time she was walking. It was a little breezy, so her hair was blowing around slightly, but that wasn't why she pushed her hair back behind her ear like that. It was just kind of a habit of hers. Not exactly a rare habit, though. "My name is Elika Ingram, and this is my father Cayden Ingram" She said, giving a nod towards her father and smiling. "My mother divorced my father, and that is why we moved here, for a new beginning in our life" She said, and even though she talked about divorce like that, it didn't seem to bother her that much. They had divorced on good conditions, and even if the whole thing was a little unpleasant no matter how you put it, she was mostly over it and talking about it didn't bother her all that much. If anything, her father seemed more uncomfortable by it, and even he didn't care that much. Her father just smiled in response to her saying his name, though, and he gave a slight nod into the boys direction
Zeke Zeke, despite it being a rather nice day, was inside playing on his desktop PC. That was because he was determined to finish the Call of Duty: Black Ops story by the time he went to bed, and get some multiplayer in, too. But after a little while of playing, he decided to pause for a while and check on his sister. Not because he was worried about her or anything, there really wasn't any reason to worry about her. It wasn't like she was with a group of killer cats, though he always made jokes about cats all having secret intentions of wanting to assassinate you. But it was because he just wanted to check to see what she was up to. It didn't take him much to figure out where she would be, and he headed to exactly where he expected her to be.
He was right. He swore if she wasn't eating, she was in with the cats. Of course there were other things she did with her life, too, but still. Still, he couldn't help but smile at all the cats drinking and eating when he came in, despite the fact he didn't consider himself nearly as much of a cat person as his sister was. Seeing his sister, he headed over to her. "Everything going fine in here? It looks like it, but you never know" He said, leaning against a nearby wall and watching the cats more then paying attention to his sister.

Slater just gave her a smile when she said it was very generous. He listened to what Cayden said about wanting a better house, but not thinking theirs was bad. "You never know, your fortunes my change. We lost our house once before we moved here, and now look at us. The same could happen to you. I believe this town brings luck, as well as friendship," He was apparently a very positive person. When Elika blushed, he gave her a slight sideways grin. Apparently, weirdly enough, he wasn't at all embarrassed by the fact that she appeared to have a crush on him. "I don't know, not much. But if money is a big issue, I'm sure you can talk to them about it and make a deal or something. If not, if you really want to learn I could pay for it for you," He said, apparently being nice to the point of ridiculousness with a stranger. Slater gave them both a smile. It seemed to be a genuinely happy smile. He was apparently a happy person. "I'm Slater. Slater Drake. It's nice to meet you," He said. He listened to what she said about her parents getting divorced and why they moved there. "It seems we have a lot in common. My parents got divorced about 6 years ago, and my mom and I moved here to start a new life," He said with a wide smile. The idea of the divorce clearly didn't bother him, at least not any more. It had been 6 years, after all. He occasionally missed his dad, but they talked sometimes. Rarely, but sometimes. Though his father had been a drunk and a gambler, he hadn't been a bad man, he just had his issues. After they walked the horse and talked for a bit, he looked at Elika. "Here, why don't you walk her some more, while I get changed out of this outfit? I won't take long, and she's perfectly calm. I think you could set off a bomb next to her and she wouldn't budge," He offered her the reins and assuming she took them, he said,"Just walk her up and down the drive, I'll be right back," Before darting inside. Shortly later he came back out dressed in This outfit. He walked up to them and smiled,"See, she's a good horse." (May) "Everything's good," May said, giving her brother a smile,"Sir-pounce-alot's feeling better, and Six's cut's healing well, though I do wish she would stop fighting." She looked fondly at her cats eating cutely. "Later will you help me make an internet advertisement saying that there's cats for sale here? I'm going to make a sign to put outside the house, too, but Evaline was going to help me with that." There was a slight, angry, Mrrrroooowww from over where Six was eating, and they could see that Six and Tahoe were facing off. May let out a loud PSST, and all the cats in the room flinched and looked like they were about to take off, but it had the desired affect. Tahoe slowly inched away from Six and back over to his own bowl. "Strays," May muttered lovingly, shaking her head.

Both Cayden and Elika smiled at what Slater said. This boy seemed like a really nice, positive guy. "I hope that will be the case" Elika said to him, smiling slightly. "I could see this little town being a great community that brings people together. It is very pretty out here right now, the air feels lovely, the day looks lovely, and so far the people seem nice" She said, pretty much referring to him when she said the last bit, seeing as she hadn't really met anyone beyond him.
Elika gave him a vague smile back when he gave her a sideways grin, but it looked like an embarrassed smile. She quickly moved on from that whole thing, though, since she felt embarrassed by it. The fact he acted so calm about him acting like he realized she was blushing and probably having a crush on him didn't help matters any. The next bit really caught her off guard, and she almost seemed to be temporarily stunned. "Y-You'll pay for me to get lessons? T-that's very thoughtful of you" She said, almost looking like she was back to blushing again solely because Slater was being extremely nice to them for just meeting them like, 5 minutes ago. "There has to be something I can do to make it up to you, though. I could work around here to make up for it. Anything" She said, giving him a look that showed she couldn't possibly feel right making him pay for it without doing something for him in return, because apparently she was rather nice as well. Her dad just smiled at the whole exchange. This neighbor really was polite, and he was happy to see his daughter be so polite in return. He could already see a close friendship bonding between the two at this rate, and fast at that. That idea just made him chuckle to himself and smile, but it would be hard to tell what he was chuckling and smiling at, since it could just be his response to what his daughter said.
"Slater. Neat name" Elika said to him with a smile. "It is nice to meet you as well, Slater" She said. Even more so then I expected, seeing how nice of a person you are She thought. Cayden just gave a nod and smile while following them, letting his daughter and the boy talk to each other. She smiled at what he said, but also looked a little sad. She smiled because he said they have a lot in common in some ways, and explained why, but looked sad because he was a child of a divorced family as well. Having your parents get divorced could definitely be hard on you, at least for a while. In response to him, she just said a "Yeah".
Elika felt a little nervous when he suggested that she walk his horse around, because she hadn't really done much related to horses, so the idea made her a little nervous. But she nodded, and said "Okay", taking the reins when he handed them to her and smiling at the horse, trying her best to be the least nervous as possible. If there was one thing she knew about horses, it was that they knew when you were nervous, which makes them nervous, and that just makes things worse. She gave a nod to him, watching him leave and then doing as he said, putting the back of her hand against the side of the horses face, stroking it slightly. "You are a good horse and very pretty" She said, smiling.
"He seems very nice" Cayden said calmly, though Elika knew he was saying that to try and embarrass her. He had done something similar when she talked to some nice young boy about her age while on their trip to here, though he wasn't as nice as Slater. "Yeah, he is" She said, tapping her free hand on her side and not looking in her dads direction. Thankfully, to her anyway, he said no more, and from then on they just walked in silence until Slater was back.
"Yes, she is a very good horse" Elika said in response to what Slater said, and she smiled slightly. She looked at his outfit, thinking it was very interesting. Not something you saw people wear very often, which was good with her. She could think of similar outfits she saw in movies before, but that was about it. "That is an interesting outfit you got. Seems a little nice for being on the farm" She said with a grin, not really caring if it was her not. She handed the reins back to him, then rubbed the back of her head. "Is everyone in this town as nice as you?" She asked him, then bit her lip. Don't come off the wrong way, Elika She thought, then said, "It seems like a generally nice town, and based on how many people waved at us on the way here, it seems rather friendly in general, not just a few people being nice".
Zeke Zeke nodded at his sister, smiling slightly. "That is good to here" He said, apparently not being one to have much to say. Or, at least, at the moment. He glanced at the cats, then looked back to his sister when she spoke up. "Sure" He said. Being the computer and gaming nerd he was, he was fairly good with computer stuff, so he could work with making ad's. Seeing as this was a small town that was generally fairly well off, and had its own sort of community, it also had its own newspaper, and he was pretty sure he could get something like this on the local newspaper if he tried hard enough. "Maybe we can get it in the local newspaper as well" He said, then glanced over to the cats who were making noises at each other. He chuckled, and just said, "Silly cats".
Clara A few minutes later, Clara started to suddenly feel really guilty. She had acted like more of an ass to her father then she meant. While she could deal with acting like an ass to some people more then others, especially when they are an ass to her about her depression or anything else, being an ass to her father was something that always made her feel really bad afterwards. Even when she didn't say anything THAT bad. She remembered saying worse to her father. But still, she felt guilty, and she felt that she owed her father somehow. She didn't know what exactly to do. Maybe just an apology? That was all she could really think to do, but she felt that she wanted to do more then just a simple apology. She let out a sigh and took her ear buds out, then turned off her music and shoved the ear buds and IPod into her pocket, and then hopped out of bed and headed downstairs to find her father.
Eventually she found him outside working on something, and he heard her approaching and looked up. "Decided to come out?" He asked her, and she nodded. "I'm sorry for my behavior back there, dad. You know I didn't mean it" She said, looking sad and guilty because of what she said. He stopped what he was doing and looked her way, then pulled his daughter into a hug. "It's okay, I forgive you. You came out, and that is good in itself. Though if I were you I wouldn't wear so much black on a sunny day like this" He teased, pulling away and kissing his daughter on the forehead. She just chuckled at her dad and smiled.
After a bit of a pause, she spoke up again. "Is there anything I can do to help you, dad? Now that I'm out here I might as well help with something, right?" She said, and her dad looked thoughtful for a moment. "The RV needs some cleaning before we can use it for a vacation. You could start by cleaning up that if you like. If I remember correctly, we made a pretty big disaster of it the last time we used it" He said with a laugh, and Clara nodded to him, then left to go find the keys to the RV and went and started to clean up the RV. She grabbed a garbage bag too, to have something to throw the trash in. And that was now one of her jobs for this nice sunny spring day, that would probably take some time to accomplish. Her dad went back to moving wood around and stuff.

"A good thing about a town like this is that the people who are nice will generally hang out, but the people who are not so nice will keep to themselves more," Slater said,"So it's harder to run into the assholes. One thing with a town out in the 'middle of nowhere' is the assholes do tend to be a bit more bonkers, but don't worry, none of them will hurt you."
He nodded when she seemed all surprised about him offering to pay for lessons,"You should try to see if you can make a deal with them first, but if you can't, then yeah, I'll pay." He waved his hand in a dismissive gesture,"Nah, it's fine. I mean, I wouldn't say no to extra help around the barn, but it's only two horses. You wouldn't owe me anything," He said in response to her asking if there was a way to make it up to him.
"Thanks," He said in reply to her complimenting his name,"Elika is a great name as well. Very unusual," He looked at Cayden,"You have good taste," He said, referring to him, you know, being her dad and naming her. He noticed Elika seemed a bit sad. He gave her a smile and decided to move on from the subject.
Mahogany just kind of lazily followed along beside Elika, one ear pointed toward her. She let out a low nicker when Elika spoke to her, then began rubbing her head up and down on Elika's torso. Clearly she didn't take long to get to like someone. She gave a cute little nicker when Slater returned, apparently greeting him even if he hadn't been gone long.
"Thanks," Slater said, running his hand down Mahogany's side. His eyes seemed to lose focus slightly as he stared at her shiny coat, and it took him a bit to continue. He blinked, then said,"Clothes can wash," In response to her saying it seemed a little nice for a farm, even though the response was a little delayed. He took back the reins and said,"Well, that's a matter of opinion," While smiling at her. "And don't worry about your impression," He added, though the reason why might be really kind of obscure. It was because he read her facial expression, with her biting her lip added with the fact he already figured out that she thought it was cute, he figured out what she was probably thinking. And obviously he was totally calm about anything to do with someone having a crush on him. "It is a nice town. Lots of friendly people," He said, nodding. He started leading Mahogany over to the barn, and once there, he lead her inside, gesturing for Elika and Cayden to follow. Once inside he lead Mahogany into her nice clean stall and grabbed a brush and sweat scraper. "Feel free to look around, just be careful near Obsidian. He's a little high strung and doesn't like strangers all that much," He said, started to clean Mahogany.
(May) "That would be nice," May said in reply to what he said about getting the ad in the newspaper,"I didn't think of that, but that's a good idea. Thanks," She gave her brother a smile, before leaning over to pick up Snowbell, who had sat down by her feet. "Look at her, she's so cute and small," She said lovingly, holding the little kitten to her. Snow had finished eating and was now watching May suspiciously. May looked around the room,"It's amazing how many stray cats there are in just this small town."

(The Ferland Household) Bella stabbed a zombie through the head, her knife covered in brains by now, her ammo low, and her air running out. She sprinted for the door, and it the override, then practically jumping into the sweet oxygen. She fired her shotgun into the chest of the nearest zombie, and pumped the next round in. She looked outside at the Lunar landscape as she shimmed up the ladder to a small drill system for H3 cracking. She leveled her shotgun at the next zombie and fired again, throwing zombie guts everywhere. She then run to the front of the drill, seeing her girlfriend throwing a zombie by the throat over the side, but being bitten on the hand when she did. Bella cried out her her girlfriend, but she just pointed behind her, Bella spun around, aiming the shotgun, then...
Woke up, she slapped her alarm clock hard and muttered something about the good dreams always ending too soon. She rolled over her floor and let out a sharp yelp as she connected with the floor a couple feet below her. "There goes my chance of going back to sleep." she muttered as she rubbed her back. She slowly wondered out of her room, her silky green pajamas reflecting the brilliant light from the three story living room windows. She walked pretty slowly to the fridge and grabbed herself the milk, wondering back to get a glass, and instead grabbing the remote for her Audio systems in her house, turning on a soundtrack from one of her games and heard the soft melody "Everybody wants to rule the world..." she hummed along with the song from Bioshock Infinite. She then proceeded to pour her milk and drink it slowly, listening to the music in her house. She then decided to have some breakfast, because she wanted more than just milk that day.
As she finished her last spoonful of oatmeal she heard the front door open, and within seconds had grabbed a tazer she kept in the kitchen drawer. She walked slowly around the corner and felt the 'gun' yanked out of her hands, then jabbed into her ribs painfully before she heard the soft familiar voice of her girlfriend saying "Oh come on, you know better than that, if I were a real intruder you would be dead, poor, or raped by now." she flicked a switch on the side of the weapon then fired it, only delivering 50,000 volts of pain into Bella's body, causing her to go limp against her girlfriend. Gwen smiled and pet her hair, then picked her up and carried her to the bed room, dropping her on the bed. The two of them chuckled at one and other for some reason, and Gwen said "Come on, get dressed, I'm taking you to the lake. Richy."
(Daisy) Daisy sat in her room, tying her finaldraft of her little news paper, it encouraged morning for the leader of Venezuela, and actually had a small advertising spot from China, who paid her 500 bucks a month to have a quarter page add in her small paper. She uploaded it online, smiling at the fact her email list contained close to 400 people across the state. She happily printed one copy, then properly stapled it together. She picked up her backpack and dumped her school books onto her bed, then carefully serf her paper on the bottom of the bag, then covered it in a couple of towels. She then heard her small egg timer and ran upstairs and grabbed her baked Kiev out of the oven, she smiled at the flakey brown skin of it, so glad her uncle helped her make them the night before. She put them in small plastic containers, and then grabbed a couple others and some sodas from her fridge and brought them all down to her room in the basement. She carefully loaded each thing into her bag, along with a pair of shoes on top. She then slid her phone into her pocket and strapped on her roller skates, she then grabbed her backpack and smiled before seeing the stairs and muttering "Suka." to herself.
Half an hour and a skinned elbow latter she was skating rather quickly to her friend's house, her light coat ends fluttering in the wind. She wore cargo pants and had a hat on, the type the covered your neck, she didn't like sunburns. Her hair was shockingly in a tight ponytail, just how she liked it. She was rather fast on the skates, passing some walking people and even a guy on a bike, before getting to Caterina's house, she stopped suddenly and dramatically in front of her house, her wheels making a very loud screech against the sidewalk. She then waved to her friend "Want to go somewhere?" she panted for a second, trying to catch her breath "I made us a picnic."

Elika nodded in agreement to what he said about small towns like this. That seemed to be generally the case. If the nice people were more prominent, they seemed to kind of dominate in small towns like this, and all the scary people kept to themselves in their private lots with signs about "Trespassers Will Be Shot" everywhere, along with security cameras and barbed wire fences. While the towns that had a lot of scary people tended to push the nice people into non-existence. She definitely heard plenty of stories about the scary small town and the overly nice small town, and she was glad she was in the latter. The last bit she was curious if he somehow knew all the crazy people and knew they wouldn't hurt her, or if he was making a comment that he would protect her from any of the crazy people. Either way, she just smiled in response.
"Okay" Elika said to him, smiling brightly. Man, she couldn't believe someone could be so nice as to pay for her riding lessons when they barely even knew her. Even she felt she wouldn't be that nice if she had the ability to actually afford stuff like that. The fact he didn't even care if she made it up to him in any way just made it all the better. They barely knew anything about each other and she already considered Slater to be a friend. "Thank you so much" She said happily, and she almost ended up just hugging him right then and there, but decided against it...For now anyway.
When he said she had a great name too, she couldn't help but blush, and in her thoughts she was really hoping she would stop doing that after getting to know him more. She figured she would, depending on what he said to her. "Thank you" She said with a smile, and Cayden smiled and said thank you as well when he spoke to him and said he had good taste, referring to the fact he and his wife named their daughter Elika.
Elika giggled when the horse rubbed its head up and down her torso, and she smiled brightly, petting the horse some more. "You are so cute" She said while smiling, and her dad just stood nearby smiling while watching the whole thing. That was about the extent of her response, though.
Elika shrugged when Slater said clothes can wash, that seeming like a good enough reason to wear it as any. She smiled, then raised an eyebrow when he told her not to worry about her impression. "Are you a mind reader?" She joked, and Cayden raised an eyebrow. "Maybe you should be a detective" She said with a smile, the only conclusion that came to her mind being that he was good at reading facial expressions and reactions to certain things that were said.
The both of them followed him in when he gestured for them to follow, watching him do what he was doing. When he told them they were free to wander around, and to be careful near Obsidian, they nodded, and Cayden wandered off to look around while Elika stayed there. She leaned against the stall door, assuming it was closed, and watched him work for a while, looking like she was observing so she could learn some about how to clean the horses properly. If she got into the horse riding more then she was able to back when she rode before, it was best for her to know some stuff. "I hope you don't mind me watching" She said to him, pushing a strand of hair back behind her ear. It seemed like a nervous gesture of hers, but she did it more then just when she was nervous. The reason she said she hoped he didn't mind that was because she didn't like making people feel uncomfortable while she watched them do stuff, and she had some experience with a "friend" of hers that got all angry at her when she was just simply watching him do something, which was just him working on a project he didn't even want help with.
Zeke "No problem sis" Zeke said in response to May, smiling at her when he said that. He watched her pick up the cat, and when she said Snowbell was so cute and small, he smiled. "Yeah, she is" He said, scratching the top of Snowbell's head briefly. To what his sister said next, he nodded. "Yeah, there are so many stray cats out there in the world" He said, sighing. He had heard stories about how many stray cats there were, and it was insane. "Want me to work on seeing if I can get that ad in the newspaper now? It isn't like I'm doing much of anything worthwhile on my computer or anything, and it gives me something to do" He said to her.
Caterina Caterina was snapped out of her book staring zone at the loud screech from Daisy's skates alone, and her dad looked up for a moment, seeming concerned that there might of been a car accident in progress or someone getting in an accident on their bike, but saw who it was and went back to his work on his book. Hearing what her friend said, she put a page marker in her book and then closed it, standing up and looking off the deck at her friend. She glanced back at her dad, who nodded, and then looked back to her friend. "Sure! I will be right down" She said, then disappeared.
About a minute later, she came out the front door and came over to her friend. "Where would you like to go? Would you like to go to the lake? I haven't been there in weeks" She said, looking distant and like she was daydreaming about the last time she was at the lake. "The lake is magnificent on a day like this. I would love to see some swans again. They are such beautiful birds" She said, smiling dreamily. It really didn't take long for her to look distracted and lost in her mind, which wasn't surprising, being her. She still had her book in her hand, which she planned to take to her wherever they went in case they just relaxed for a while and she wanted to spend her time reading. It was also hard for her to put down the book she started on, because she was rather enjoying it even though she wasn't that far into it yet.

Skipping to when Slater got back after changing his clothes, he smiled at what she said about him being a mind reader. "No. I've always been good at reading expressions and people," He said. He chuckled at her saying maybe he should be a detective. "I think I'll stick with horses for my carrier," He said. While cleaning his horse, he noticed her watching him. He stopped cleaning and help the brush out to her. "Here, why don't you brush her? This is a currycomb. It's used to loosen up any caked dirt. You brush it in circles, but watch out for this area here," He pointed to an area on the horse where the back legs connected with the horse's body. "The hair here grows in every direction, and it can sometimes irritate a horse. It isn't that big of a deal on some horses." He showed her another brush, one that was softer,"After you loosen the dirt with the currycomb, you use this to remove the dirt. With this you brush the way the hair is growing." He held both brushes out to her. "You try." Assuming Elika accepted, he stepped out of the stall and let her work. "If you want, after you're done with that, we can ride down to the lake. You can meet my mom and I can take you to meet the twins who might teach you. You can your dad can ride Mahogany and I'll ride Obsidian," He said, leaning against the stall wall. (May) May smiled at her brother. "Hopefully I can find as many strays as possible a loving home," She said, scratching Snowbell under her chin. The little kitty purred quite loudly. "Sure," She said when her brother asked if she him to see if he could get an add in the newspaper now. "Hopefully that will help people buy some kitties." She looked at her watch at started,"Crap, I'm supposed to meet Evaline soon," She put down Snowbell and stood up, brushing herself off,"By, my loves, I'll see you later!" She said to the cats, then she turned to her brother,"I'll see you later, too. Thanks for your help!" With that, she dashed out the door. It would be a fairly long walk to Evaline's house. (Chance) Chance walked up the driveway of her friend's house. Today she was wearing an outfit like this, even though it was nice and sunny out. She didn't see her friend, but heard movement from the RV so she headed over there. Knocking on the door on the way in, she walked into the RV. "Hi, Clara," She said,"Want some help?"

Bella and Gwen Bella followed Gwen out to her motorcycle, the two smiling at each other as they do. Bella grabbed Gwen's hand as they walked out the door, smiling to one and other. As they walked outside Bella waved to the old woman who lived next door, who was doing some knitting on the porch. The old woman smiled at the two young people in love and asked "Are you too headed to the lake? It is a beautiful place to have a date." she smiled as she caused the teenagers to blush and smile shyly at one and other before the one she knew said "Um, yes we are madam." the old woman beckoned her over and said "That is where I met my husband you know? It is a lovely romantic place." she handed over a ticket and said "Here, I'm never going to use this, have a good time. That is the girl who you told me about right?" Bella nodded slightly looking at the coupon for a free dinner for two at a fancy restaurant along the lake. She smiled at the old lady who then said "Go, have fun with your girlfriend." Bella gave a wave as she ran off, smiling and calling out "Thank you Mrs. Götenberg." she then showed Gwen the coupon who smiled and nodded to the old woman saying "Thank you madam." the two then smiled at each other as they climbed onto the motorcycle. The old woman went back to her knitting, smiling at the young people in love as they rode off towards a romantic dinner together.
Daisy Daisy smiled and nodded as she watched her friend ask about going to the lake "That's what I was thinking, I love the lake, it is so pretty this time of year." she slowly skated backwards, watching her friend as she did with a small smile she always seemed to have on around her. She smiled as her friend talked about swans and said "One of the few creatures that mate for life, did you know that?" she noticed the book and offered her hand "Here I have a backpack if you want me to put it inside. I would be more than happy to carry it for you." she smiled and waved as she saw a motorcycle pass them, noticing that it was the nice girl who had told her all about her trip to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. She then turned her attention back to her friend, who she smiled at widely then asked a question she already knew the answer to "So, Caterina, do you have a boyfriend or anything? Or, have you been asked out to the lake before?" she blushed slightly and murmured "Not that this is a date." then silently added "Yet."

Elika smiled and let out a nervous chuckle. "I don't know if I should be worried about that or not. I probably won't ever be able to hide anything from you" She said, smiling slightly. She had a feeling that he would be someone she became good friends with, based on how nice he was being already, so she expected that there might be times in the future when he could judge if she was lying or if she was hiding something. She smiled again, and said "That sounds like a good plan", thinking being a detective sounded boring.
Abigail froze for a moment, uncertain when he suggested that she tried and brushed the horse. But her uncertainty faded somewhat when he started to explain what she needed to do. Somewhat. She was still nervous about that, since she hadn't ever really groomed a horse before. Just rode them a bit. But she took the brushes anyway, figuring it was time to learn, and when he stepped out of the stall, she went in, carefully to not startle the horse.
"My dad doesn't really like to ride horses all that much, but I'm sure he would let me ride to the lake with just you" She said, slowly starting to brush the horse with the currycomb, like he had directed. She had an amused look on her face, and she looked at Slater briefly. "My dad isn't overly paranoid, and I don't think he is worried about you murdering me at the lake or eating me" She joked, chuckling slightly.
"Besides, I'm a gymnast, so I could probably whup your ass if I wanted to" She continued after a bit of a pause while focusing on brushing the horse. She sounded amused at what she had said. "I would like to ride, though. Thank you for the offer" She said with a smile, and then something donned on her. She stopped brushing the horse for a moment and reached into her pocket, pulled out her cellphone, then completely turned it off so it wouldn't start ringing on her. She slipped the cellphone back into her pocket, and chuckled, "Probably a good idea to avoid getting myself killed on the first day of me riding in a long time".
A bit later, she finished her job, and did a relatively good job for a first time. She smiled again, happy with what she did, even though she didn't know how good it was. She was also happy because she felt something, a sort of connection to the horses. Something she had felt the last time she rode, but she hadn't been able to really experience again. It felt good, and she honestly felt that she could really get into horse riding, more passionately then she had ever before.
She stepped out of the stall and rubbed her hands together to get the dust off of her hands, because apparently she had given the brushes back to Slater or something. "I'm ready whenever you are" She said. She looked at her own clothes, and decided that her pretty casual outfit and tennashoes were good enough for horseback riding as far as she was concerned.
Zeke Zeke gave an absentminded nod in response to what May said about the strays, thinking about other stuff. But the sound of the kitty purring made him snap out of his thoughts, and even he, who seemed to be much more serous then his sister, couldn't help but grin in response. He nodded again, and then when his sister seemed to realize suddenly that she was supposed to be somewhere, he just stood there. He watched her with a smile, seeing how much she loved the cats. "No problem at all sis" He said simply, and watched her dash out the door, then headed out the door himself and went onto his computer to try and see what he could do.
Clara Clara heard a knock, and her first response was that her dad needed something already. She hadn't done a lot of cleaning yet, so she was surprised he would be knocking so quickly, but other then raising an eyebrow to herself, she didn't think much of it and started to head to the door to answer it, when she heard her friends voice, not her dads.
"Oh, I thought you were my dad at first" Clara said, blinking a few times as if she was surprised it was her friend. "But it is a pleasant surprise to see you instead" She said, smiling at her friend. She gave a shrug. "Coming over to help your friend clean doesn't seem like the most fun, but if you want to help, go ahead" She said, and she started to pick things up to do some cleaning as soon as she finished speaking. She glanced back over to her friend, and said "I love your outfit by the way. You have a cooler sense of style then I do".
Caterina "Yes, it really is. Spring is a beautiful time of year" Caterina said, smiling brightly. "Spring is the best season in the entire year" She said, putting her hands out as she spoke and smiling as the breeze blew across her. "Fall is close behind. I love the vibrant fall colors" She said, smiling brightly. "My least favorite season I would say would be summer, because I love the snow in winter, too. All seasons have something special about them" She said, spinning in a circle. Apparently she was one of those people that just went with the flow, and thought complaining about it being fall, winter, or spring was silly. She never really liked it when a day after it hits fall, people are all talking about missing summer already. Besides, she thought summer was overrated, except the school break part of it. She chuckled at what she said about swans. Even the odd bits about nature she was interested in knowing about. While she read a lot of fictional books, she did read a ton of educational books, and read a ton of educational stuff because she just loved to be informed and know all sorts of weird things. "No, I did not, but I am surprised I didn't. I have a lot of nature books I have read thoroughly, and I thought that might come up when reading them" She said, shrugging. "Guess not" She said. She pondered just saying she could hold her book, but decided that was too nice of a thing to offer and she smiled, handing the book to Daisy. "Thank you, Daisy. That is very kind of you" She said with a smile. She glanced at the person driving by on the motorcycle briefly, then said, "I have always been curious what being on a motorcycle is like", spacing out for a moment. To what her friend asked, she chuckled and smiled. "I have never had a boyfriend. I always hear about these people at school going on about their boyfriends, and how you should have a boyfriend because it makes you happier and have a soul mate, but I never got that mindset" She said, pausing for a moment.
"I think you should live life the way you want to live your life, not do what your friends want you to do because they consider it to be normal to have a boyfriend. I prefer the idea of living your life to the fullest, however you want to achieve that. People talk about boyfriends making you happier, but I feel perfectly happy and content the way I am" She said, seeming to enjoy talking about this.
"That doesn't mean that if the right person shows up that I won't ever have a boyfriend. I just feel no need to actively seek one out" She said, her head turning back to looking more straight. "People seem to think I am weird at school, so I haven't really had anyone try and talk to me and show an interest in me. Which is okay, because I do fine the way I am" She said, and then added something. "Not that I have anything against friends" She said, giving a bright smile in Daisy's direction. "I just don't actively seek out friends, either" She said. She thought her big speech while they were walking pretty much answered everything. By now they probably weren't that far from the lake, either, since Caterina didn't exactly live very far from the lake.

Slater frowned slightly,”Everyone's always so worried about hiding stuff. They should be more concerned with honesty,” He said, his voice sounding kind of distant and thoughtful. Slater was the type who didn't really think forward into who he might be friends with eventually, probably because he didn't need to think about people becoming friends in the future, because he became friends with people like, instantly.
“Perhaps your dad should be more paranoid. There's always the chance that I would be some kind of rapist or something. I'm not, but you can't know that for certain,” Slater said,”Of course, there's a point of over-protectiveness which can just be annoying.” He watched her as she brushed, making sure she was doing it right.
“You assume I don't know Karate or something,” Slater pointed out,”I don't, but there are other people who are in shape, you know,” He said it seriously, but with a faint teasing hint to his voice. He watched as she turned off her phone,”Probably a good idea,” He said,”Though Mahogany wouldn't respond. You might get me killed, though,” He said jokingly, seeing as he was planning on riding the more skittish horse.
“You should probably ask your dad if it's OK, first,” He said, heading toward the tack room. He paused just outside of it and leaned against the wall, waiting for her to ask her dad.
(Chance) “Coming over to help a friend with cleaning is a good way to make cleaning fun,” Chance said,”Much funner then cleaning by yourself, anyway.” She glanced at her outfit,”Thanks. You could have a sense of style like mine if you tried,” She said, starting to pick things up and clean and whatnot.

Elika had to let herself smile at what Slater said. He was right. She knew he was. Honesty was the best idea, not hiding everything from each other. That didn't mean there weren't the things that she would feel like keeping quiet anyway, just because it was hard to get herself to say some things, but she still fully agreed with Slater that honesty was a good idea, and she told herself that she would try and be honest as possible to him. "You're right. I'll try and be honest as possible to you" She said, giving him a smile, pretty much implying she felt like he was a friend she would be telling a lot of things to and being honest to.
Elika twitched slightly at the mention of the word "rapist", but didn't say anything and continued listening to what he was saying. "I understand being concerned about those kinds of things, but I would rather have more freedom then to be stuck in a paranoid world view my whole life" She said.
"Nope, I'm the only one in shape in the world" Elika joked, smiling slightly. "You're probably in good shape from riding, though" She said to him. She listened to him saying her horse wouldn't really respond, but his would. "I would feel terrible if I got you hurt, so it would probably be a good idea to avoid that" She said with a smile.
Elika nodded, and she wandered off to go and find her dad to ask him if it was okay if she went on a ride. Once she did, she said "Dad, can I go on a ride with my new friend? I'll be super careful, and I'll take my cellphone with me though I have it off so I don't scare the horses. If anything happens I'll call you". He looked thoughtful for a moment, uncertain, and then pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to her. "Take this, and I'll let you go, okay? Just to be cautious. I perfectly trust him, but it is okay to be a bit careful, right?" He said, and she gave a nod and took it, slipping it into her pocket. "Yes, that is fine dad. Thanks! I'll help you unpack later, okay? Love you" She said, talking fast and hugging her dad in the middle of all of that at the same time, then running back to where Slater was. Cayden just smiled and chuckled in response, and then decided to hang around for a bit to watch her get on a horse and ride off, and then he'd head back home.
"Dad said I could go" Elika said to Slater, smiling brightly. "Under one condition" She said, pulling out a bottle from her pocket. It read "pepper spray". "So unless you want a face full of pepper spray, you might want to behave" She said, smiling brightly, implying that she was just joking around with him. "It seems reasonable to me, honestly. No need to be overly paranoid and not let me go, but make sure I have something to defend myself" She said, and after a moment, spoke up again. "And before you ask why my dad just pulled that out of his pocket, we lived in a questionable part of a city before we moved out here" She told him.
Clara "Well, thanks for the help" Clara said, giving her a smile. She looked thoughtful before speaking up again. "For helping, you deserve coming with us on vacation in the RV even more then before" She said to her friend with a smile. It seemed like even though she may have some depression on some levels, that was worse on some days then others, she didn't show it as much as some people did. Today was a bad day, but she felt like the sun did really help with making her feel better. "I could, but I think it looks better on you, and I don't really think it is something I would wear. But it is still cool. I like my current outfit for my kind of style" She said to her friend, looking around and picking up some crap. "One thing we have in common is we both like black" She said, chuckling slightly. "And we're both pretty" She joked, not being able to help but laugh at her dumb joke. Then she just went back to picking things up and throwing it away, throwing it into piles to move inside, and so on.
