Slater smiled once Elika came back and said that her dad said she could go. "Seems resonable," He said when she pulled a container of pepper spray out of her pocket. "Out here we just have bear spray," He said jokingly,"I'll get the horses tacked up," He added, heading in to the tack room.
Shortly later, both horses were tacked up. He lead them both outside, then gestured Elika over. "Here, I'll boost you up," He said. Apparently he planned on just riding in his current outfit. He held his helmet out to here. "Here. I only have one, but I'm less likely to fall of then you," He said, but not in a rude way or anything. "It might be a little big, but it should work."
(Chance) "No problem," Chance said, smiling at her friend. "All I'm doing is help clean. You act like I saved your life," She said teasingly, grinning. "You're right. You have a different sort of style then me, but it works better for you. I don't think I could pull off your style quite as well. She giggled and tossed a piece of garbage dramatically in to a garbage can,"Yeah. I bet the boys swoon all over us," She said jokingly. "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. I got us tickets to the Kamelot concert that's going to be happening in the theater in town."

Elika let out a laugh when Slater said out here that they just had bear spray. She wasn't sure exactly what bear spray was like, but it was still amusing to her. "Don't forget rifles and shotguns and stuff" She laughed at her own words, but then calmed down shortly later. She gave a simple nod at what he said, and then just sort of stood there after he left while waiting for him, glancing around and bobbing back and forth onto the tips of her toes and back onto her feet. This was becoming her sort of thinking gesture right now. This day had changed quite a bit from what she expected it to be. She expected it to consist of meeting neighbors and unpacking and that was it, not meeting a neighbor that she instantly felt like he was a friend to her and she was going on her first horse ride in YEARS. But, it was a day that had turned out to be quite a GOOD day, though.
When Slater came back out, Elika started to smile brightly, but there was also a hint of nervousness in her expression. And since Slater seemed observant, he probably noticed. She knew enough about horses that being nervous around them made them nervous, too, so she tried her best to remain calm, though. But when he said he'd boost her up, another wave of nervousness hit her, but thankfully it didn't last very long. She looked worried when Slater offered her his helmet, concerned about him riding without one. "You sure? You don't have any spare helmets around or something?" She asked, but taking it gently as she said that, wanting to test it out anyway and automatically guessing he was going to say yes anyway. She didn't seem to take what he said as being rude at all, knowing all too well she was more likely to fall off than he was. She put the helmet on, which fit fairly well, and smiled as she fastened it on. "How do I look?" She asked with a bit of a shy smile.
Clara Clara laughed when her friend said the way she was acting made it seem like she had saved her life or something, but that was her only response to her words. "We're still both emo buddies" She joked about them both liking the dark colors like black, even though she wouldn't really call each others styles 'emo' that much. Especially since the real definition of what was considered to be an 'emo kid' has been changed so much to mean something completely different to what it was originally supposed to mean. "Oh god, why did I say that?" She said in a joking manner back. "Having boys swooning over me sounds scary more then being enjoyable" She laughed. At what her friend said last, she started to smile brightly, and looked excited. "Really? Awesome! I can't wait! This concert should be epic" She said. She was a metal lover at heart, and Kamelot was one of those metal bands she enjoyed quite a bit out of lots of metal bands she loved, so she was definitely looking forward to it.

"Of course I'm sure," Slater replied, letting her take the helmet easily. "And don't worry," He added, clearly seeing her nervousness,"There's no reason to be nervous, and even if you are, Mahogany will remain calm for you. You'll be fine. A two year old could ride her," He gave her a reassuring smile. When she asked how she looked he replied,"Cute. It suits you." It didn't sound like he was flirting or anything like that, just like he was stating his opinion. Once she was all ready, he cupped his hands together so she could use them as a sort of extra stirrup to get on the Mahogany's back.
(Chance) "Emo buddies forever," Chance said, giggling. She offered her hand for a joking high-five when she said that. "Having boys swoon over us is fun, because then you can mess with their heads by playing hard to get, and then never date them anyway, even after they run around and shower you with gifts," She said, giving a joking evil giggle. "It better be epic. I mean, it's Kamelot, so of course it will be."

Slater's words about how calm Mahogany was seemed to calm her down some. It didn't sound like she had much danger of having issues from the horse, even if she was nervous. Now that she was more relaxed, she was going to let him boost her up onto the horse, but first she had to reply to his replies to what she had said earlier. Though there wasn't really a reply from her, just a blush at him saying that she looked cute with the helmet on. She knew it was just a general comment, but she couldn't help but blush from it. She wasn't used to comments from anybody but her parents, at least that sort of comment. Maybe a bit as like little kids commenting on each other. But not from boys she thought were kinda cute, that made everything different for her silly teenage feelings. She realized that she didn't even need to ask for him to help boost her up, him doing that gesture to indicate that he would help boost her up. She let him assist her onto the horse, but she didn't appear to have many difficulties with the task anyway.
Once she was on the horse, she gave a warm smile down to Slater at his assistance, and the fact she was on a horse for the first time in many years. "Thank you" She said down to him for his assistance. She looked happy, but still a bit nervous while taking the reigns of the horse in her hands lightly, to avoid accidentally pulling the reigns back too much or something and setting the horse off.
"I haven't done this in so many years, you'll probably have to teach me what I'm supposed to do again" Elika said to Slater, waiting for him to get ready as well, looking over her shoulder slightly but not trying to make herself in a dangerous position by doing so that might make her fall off. One thing she did do successfully was put her feet into the stirrups, but Slater would likely be able to tell if the stirrups were too loose on her or not, since the saddle hadn't exactly been adjusted to her size yet.
Clara Clara let out a laugh at her friend saying that they were emo buddies forever, and laughed even more when she offered a high five to her. "Yeah!" She said, high fiving her friend and then starting to giggling herself, which she rarely ever did. She wasn't even a huge laugher, technically, but she definitely did laugh. She just wasn't a big giggler. Her friend did good at making her laugh, though, and she let out another laugh at her friend saying they can mess with the boys and pretend to be hard to get. Well, they probably were "Hard to get" anyway, because neither of them seemed to be like, actively trying to get boys (Or girls), though with her she was even less interested if the boys were actively trying to get in a relationship with her. She'd rather it happen naturally somehow instead, if at all. "Sounds like fun" She chuckled darkly, then let out a normal, non-faked laugh again.
