The Last of Us: Beginning
This section of the RP will be based as the infection is first starting to take off. The RP starts off in Boston, the main location where the infection first takes off in this story, but it is by no means the only place and it spreads out to anywhere that isn't affected rather quickly. This is the beginning of the world changing dramatically, possibly never going back to normal. Humans do things they probably would never expect to do, and the world just goes into complete turmoil. Every day is a fight for survival, and not even technically from the infected, but fellow humans doing horrible things to each other to survive, because humans go crazy in disasters, and especially large disasters like this. Food will become harder and harder to get as it is all taken away, supplies, weapons, and so on.
The Last of Us: Aftermath
This section of the RP is based 20 years after the infection started. The location is still currently Boston, but things have changed quite a bit. There are probably over a few billion people dead or infected worldwide, and probably tens of millions if not over 100 million people dead or infected in the U.S. A section of Boston is a quarantine zone run by the military, who have been known for their brutal ways of taking care of people that cause problems or sometimes for seemingly no reason. A lot of people have been born here, never to see anywhere outside of the quarantine zone. As far as most people are concerned, life in the quarantine zone isn't the greatest life either, and the quality of life is not fantastic anywhere. There are food shortages in the quarantine zone almost always, and various other issues like supposed terrorist organizations and whatnot.
Then you got the varying outside towns. Some of the towns or cities are completely overrun by bandits and criminal groups, the ones in the city having wiped out the military presence there. Then there are the towns and cities still overrun by infected. In other words, the life outside of the quarantine zones is a terrible one, but there are still thousands of people scattered throughout the states outside of the quarantine zones. The whole atmosphere of everywhere pretty much gives you the impression that the human race is still struggling greatly 20 years later, and people are still killing each other for basic resources and some people still believe that the biggest threat in the world is their fellow humans, and not the infected themselves that caused the world to go to hell like this in the first place.
