Bailee was currently sitting on the couch in the living room, the light rather dim in the room right now. She was playing her video game on her portable gaming device. The game she was playing was an Animal Crossing game on her Nintendo DS, which she seemed to be rather focused on. On the game she was currently fishing, trying to catch one of the rare fish of the season. The time was currently 11 PM in her game and in the real world, about 2 hours past her typical bed time. It was currently unknown if she was still awake because she was way too addicted to her video game, or if she couldn't sleep so she wandered downstairs and started to play her game to pass the time until she got tired again. The latter seemed more likely, though it could be a mixture of the two. She seemed so focused that if her brother or her dad were around, noticing that she was up past her bedtime, she wouldn't even notice them until they sat down next to her or spoke up. Even if one of them sat down next to her she might not acknowledge them and keep playing, so they would probably NEED to speak to her to get her attention.

Suddenly on Bailee's game, another player entered her town. The player had 'Chase' above it's head. It ran around town for a bit, trying to find Bailee's character, and when it did, text popped up above it's head. You know it's way past your bed time, right? Chase was laying in the box fort in his room, bathed in the light of his 3DS. He was up past his typical bed time, too, but it was normal. He usually pretended to go to bed, then stole into his fort to read or play games. He wasn't sure whether his dad was aware of this, but he was pretty sure he wouldn't care all that much if he did. He had known his sister was awake because he had heard her head downstairs, and so he figured she was probably playing Animal Crossing, because he knew his sister, apparently. (Nolan) Nolan was currently sleeping.

As soon as Bailee realized that her older brother had joined in on her game, she was about ready to quit quickly and pretend to be asleep, but knew that was pointless and just went along with it. So she just kept on fishing until he arrived and spoke to her, which was just as she had finished catching a fish that wasn't what she really wanted. But it didn't matter and she responded to her brother.
i know it is but i couldnt sleep so i went downstares to play my game and see if i start to get tired enough to sleep i think its starting to work She typed back to her brother, yawning outside of her game. Though, as a joke, she used the yawn emote in the game because apparently she had a sense of humor.
Pausing from her game while waiting for her brother to respond, which would most likely take a while since typing things on the DS is a pain in the ass, she turned on the TV and lowered the volume. For some reason instead of watching like, you know, kids shows, she left it on the news channel for the time being just to have background noise more then anything, not really even paying attention to the news report currently playing on the television.

You can play your game in your room, you know. He typed out in reply. Getting tired of fishing for hours trying to catch a special fish? He actually typed fairly fast on the DS, actually having one that was synced properly properly to where you tapped on the screen, rather then hitting like, 'S' and it selecting 'A' instead. Seeing as you can't exactly pause Animal Crossing, he started fishing as her character just stood there staring off into space. In the real world, he adjusted himself in his fort, then adjusted his mask. He could feel himself getting a little sleepy, and gave a slight yawn.

Since it didn't take long for her brother to respond, Bailee wasn't distracted for very long. It did take her a bit to respond back though so she was standing there for a little bit before she would go back to fishing or something. i know i can but i left my game downstares so i went and got it and just stayed down here She replied back after a little bit, and then responded to what else he said a bit later. yeah it can get a little old fast She replied. After she was done with that, she went back to fishing, messing around by trying to catch the same fish as her brother was, because she was always messing with her brother on games like this. Like digging holes for him to fall into and stuff. Something on the news was starting to catch her attention somewhat, but not enough to distract her too much from her game yet.

You should put your game in your room. Much less likely for Dad to notice, then. Chase replied, then random spammed the 'shocked' emotion for the hell of it. When she started trying to catch the same fish as him, he let her catch it, then did an angry emote. You could do something else, you know. He replied to what she said about it getting old. He then went and ran around town some, shaking trees at random.

yeah yeah i should Bailee responded, letting out a sigh that nobody obviously noticed. She scoffed outside of the game at her brother randomly spamming the shocked emotion repeatedly, thinking he was silly but being fine with it because that was why she liked her brother. When he did the angry emote because she pretty much stole his fish, she giggled, outside of the game and in the game both. yeah i think i will do just that She said after catching her fish, but before she really did anything she got distracted with the TV, because something drew her attention to it.
"There has been a report of an increased level of sick people lately. Reports have come in that it is widespread across most of the U.S. but the highest levels of sick people have been reported to be in Boston. Nobody really knows what the sickness is, but anyone who has felt abnormally sick are advised to stay away from others to avoid spreading the sickness any further, especially if you fit the known side effects of the reported sickness. We will keep you posted as we get updates on the sickness and how many people are reported as sick, but for now we will bring you to our reporter on the scene of a lock down at a business. Katey, what are the current reports?"
"Things are pretty crazy out here Steven. There have been confirmed shots from inside of the business and the police are all over the place surrounding the business. We believe that there is the p-" Katey said, but she was cut off by a loud explosion and the screen turned into one big fire ball before the cameras cut out completely on the end of the reporters side, and then Bailee heard the explosion herself which shook the windows slightly, making her let out a gasp and curl up on the couch. The whole house lit up brightly for a bit while the explosion happened, before it plunged back into darkness.
At this point Bailee was scared and uncertain about what was going on and why there was an explosion, when the broadcaster started to speak and seem rather concerned about their reporter who was that close to the explosion. "Well, we have lost contact with our reporter, and we are now getting reports in from people that not only did an explosion just go off in Boston at one of the business', but there have been reports that people have gone crazy on the streets, acting completely inhuman and someone even reported that they saw someone rip another person to pieces. Could this be the widespread sickness going even further? We don't know, but we will do our best to keep you posted" The reporter said, and at that point Bailee had enough of the TV and turned it off.
Shortly after she turned the TV off, which at this point she was pretty much completely ignoring her DS and expecting her brother and dad to be downstairs before too long to make sure everything was okay related to the explosion, there was a loud thud on the front door that made Bailee let out a scream. She jumped to the other side of the couch and pulled her blanket over herself and pulled her legs tighter to her body, clearly scared about what the hell was going on. The thud on the front door started up again, and it didn't stop either. It sounded like someone insane pounding on the front door, trying to break in and be as noisy as possible in the process. All Bailee could think to do was scream and shout.
"CHASE!" Bailee practically screamed from downstairs. As the crazy psychotic man continued to beat insanely on the door, she would let out some more screams in fear, as well. "DAD!" She shouted. "SOME CRAZY MANS AT THE DOOR!" She continued to shout. "Please get down here!" She continued.
