New Kans, Channel 8 Morning News
The action news reporter, Rebeca Chang, stood in front of the news camera as bank alarms rang. The woman spoke into a microphone as the broadcast came back from commercials "This is Rebeca Chang reporting live from where the self proclaimed 'Fumigator' has raided America First Bank. The Vigilante group 'Harmony' is here with several of its members to protect what it is calling orderly society." she turned the microphone over to the leader of the group, dressed in some light body armour with an orange symbol of a Dutch Lion on it, smiled as he was asked "So, commander, why is your group so involved with stopping the Fumigator?" the man adopted a smile, putting one hand on his hip as he did "Harmony is dedicated to maintaining this city's high standards of safety and security even in these troubled times after the police force was completely cut from the city budget." The reporter asked "And the recent contributions from America First Bank to your group has nothing to do with this?" the commander continued to smile as he said "I should go back to my men." rushing away before Chang could say anything else. Within a few minutes the tall figure in a sealed black steampunk looking figure walked out of the bank, clutching a grenade launcher. It fired into the group of vigilantes that hid behind cheap cars with welded on armour, grenades bouncing as they spewed deadly gas into the air. Several members of the group strangled on the gas as the news people strapped on gas masks and filmed the remaining members firing hunting rifles and crossbows at the lone figure as it carried out bags of money and put it in the back of a armoured van. The bullets and bolts bounced harmlessly off the heavy armour the figure wore, as it kept walking to and from the bank. Finally one of the shots hit one of the filters on the mask, and it reacted by calmly opening the cylinder on its grenade launcher and loading a new grenade in, then fired into the ranks of the Vigilantes, this time exploding in a hail of fire, igniting the gas it fired earlier. The figure them calmly got in the van and drove off with the money from the bank. Rebeca Chang turned the camera toward the burning members of Harmony "This is just the latest in a series of attacks by the Fumigator on vigilante protected areas. So far no extensive damage has been done by the fumigator to property and no demands have been made. This is Rebeca Chang, Channel 8 Action news."
Under the Bay
"What a weirdo." Alex said as she ate her breakfast, watching the large TV they had bought with money from their first heist. She leaned back as her boyfriend flopped down onto the couch next to her, watching the broadcast and asking "Who?" as he nibbled at his self prepared omelet from their little kitchen set up with propane cookers, a microwave, and a minifridge. Alex shrugged "Fume person, they are a weird psychopath proper super villain, using grenade launchers and such." Eric nodded slightly and asked "I wonder what the hell prompted the city to cut its police department, I mean most people seem to do not too much harm, like us, and some of the gangs that run around selling drugs, but once you get grenade launchers in the mix..." his companion nodded in agreement as she asked "So, what cha want to do? I would offer to go to a bank heist, but we would look like copy cats now. Want to see if we can find something to do just as we walk around?" her boyfriend nodded slightly and asked "Should we finish our breakfast first?" and Alex nodded, smiling slightly.
