SR-2 Normandy The new crew was assembled, there were Cerbarus shock troopers there walking back into the bowels of the ship, the cargo area, in case they were needed. General Oleg Petrovsky, a strong Cerbarus commander was there to see them off, he nodded to the human of the four new operatives, but simply gave the others bad looks. He looked at them all and said "Quarian no taking notes on this ship. Asari, no 'activities' with your mental thing with my men. Turian, no telling the Hierarchy about this. Jack, I'm giving you command for now, you are the only human here after all." he seemed slightly prideful in his hate of Xenos.
Veetor looked at the man in front of hum, and rubbed his hands together uncomfortably, he was clearly very nervous being there. He nodded quickly when addressed and stammered "Yyyes sir." he was intimidated by the man, clearly.
Tela nodded quickly when she was addressed, she didn't care what the man said, she had her arms crossed in front of her in a stand offish way. She glanced at the other three and smirked slightly at how clearly nervous the Quarian was.

Jack stood with his arms crossed behind his back. He was exited to get going, but not specially exited to be working for Cerberus. But, someone had to do something, since the Alliance just denied the existence of the Reapers, and he needed money, so...He figured he'd just go with it. For now, anyway. He felt a flash of annoyance when he was made commander purely for being human, but he didn't let it show,"Yes, sir," He said,"I assume that doesn't mean I can make the rules for this ship, though."
Orinia shifted from foot to foot, seeming kind of bored. She listened to what the General said, then nodded,"Yes, sir," She replied, though she didn't sound impressed by his apparent racism against Xenos. She also wasn't really one to follow rules, but she didn't see a reason not to follow this rule. She just had that kind of Bad-ass mischievous aura about her.

"Cerbarus makes the rules for the crew son." The General said to Jack and added "How you treat the Xenos and what rules you make them obey are up to you. So long as you don't mess with my crew to do it, most everything is fair game." he started to walk off, and then looked over his shoulder and said "Don't end up like Shepard son, these this are serious business." he then walked off, unnessisarly shoving the Quarian down as he did. He was followed by two elite Cerbarus shock troopers.
Veetor squeaked as he was shoved over and said "Sorry sir." apparently thinking he did something wrong. He looked at the other three and said "Maybe we should go inside the ship now, if you don't mind captain." he referred to Jake as captain, and he was very quiet, seeming shy and antisocial. He looked at the Turian, he thought he should introduce himself, but didn't.
Tela looked slightly annoyed that the General would shove down the young Quarian, he was probably just a racist though. She nodded to the Quarians idea and offered her hand to the Human saying "I'm Tela by the way Jack, nice to meet you."

Jack nodded, even though he didn't really like the rules that he had made for the crew. Specially not the one he made for the Asari, but he didn't dare protest. "I take it 'your' crew are the people who crew the ship, rather then these three," He said, gesturing at the Xenos. "I have no intention of ending up like Shepard, Sir," He said, which was true. He really did not want to end up dead. He looked annoyed when he shoved the Quarian, but didn't move until the General had gone.
He went over to Veetor and offered him a hand to help him up. "I don't mind," Jack said, smiling,"You can just call me Jack." There was something about his voice that sounded kind of flirty, which was kind of the way he acted with everyone.
He turned to Tela and smiled,"Well, hello. It's a pleasure to meet you, Tela," He said in a rather flirty manner. He shook her hand, then gestured to the door of the ship," Ladies first?"
Orinia looked at the Quarian, thinking he needed to stand up for himself a bit more, and not show weakness, then headed inside without saying anything to anyone else. Though she did wink at Jack slightly, but he was to busy talking to Tela to notice.

The General nodded and gruffly said "Indeed, the people who crew the ship are the crew, you are part of the squad, and you are all part of the same cell, under my command. I could override orders to the Xenos if I wanted, but I won't."
Veetor nodded to Jack, he wasn't interested in his flirty tone, the Human was older than him, if anyone he would want to be with someone who he could eat with, like the Turian. He took a breath and said "I'm Veetor'Nara nar Quib Quib, I guess I could tack vas Normandy onto my name."
Tela smirked slightly at his flirtyness and said "Why thank you Jack." she walked down the ramp toward the ship and noticed Orinia and asked "What's your name Turian? What citizen level are you?" she noticed the Quarian following them listen in more when they spoke of the Turian and smirked to herself again.

Jack nodded,"Alright," He said, saluting the general as he left. Once he was gone he rolled his eyes slightly.
Jack really had no idea how old Veetor was, but he noticed he sounded young, so he asked,"before I say anything to awkward, how old are you?" He nodded,"Nice to meet you, Veetor, I'm Jack Barrowman."
Jack smiled at Tela,"What you just said reminded me of something from an old movie," He said, heading down the ramp after her.
Orinia glanced back at Tela,"Orinia Nazario," She replied,"4. And what about you?" She didn't really seem massively interested in talking to Tela, like she had better things to do, which in all honesty, she didn't. She usually acted kind of rude to people she didn't know, but became nicer as she got to know them better.

Veetor was quiet for a few awkward seconds before saying "I'm si sixt sixteen." he stammered through, he was starting to get slightly comfortable, but awkward things made him stammer his words again. He nodded and said "Thank you captain."
Tela nodded and shrugged at the same time toward Jack and said "Probably, there were a lot of old movies. I take it you mean human movies, from like 1,000 years ago." she then thought and said "No wait you guys don't live long, so like 100 years. Geez I feel old now."
Tela nodded to Orinia and said "Ah a four, not bad for someone so young. As an Asari I don't have a number, non Turians don't, but my father was Turian and he was a 25 (There are only 27 classes)" she smiled in an 'I'm better than you' way and added "He was given that rank for killing humans in the First Contact War, Geez I feel old again."
Veetor looked at Orinia and managed to say "Orinia is a nice name, I'm Veetor nar Quib Quib." he put out his hand for her to shake, he was trembling slightly, he wasn't used to social interaction, clearly.

Jack nodded, then said,"Alright. No flirty comments from me. Not to you, anyway," with a kind of crooked smile. "Just call me Jack, I feel more comfortable with that," He said. He was really more often kind of a follower, and he hadn't planned on being made the commander, but he just went with it.
"I was thinking of a movie from, like 2006 or somewhere around there. Pirates Of the Caribbean, ever heard of it?" Jake asked,"What does how long we live have to do with how long ago the movie was made?"
Jake looked around the room they entered into, and sighed slightly. He had been aboard the original Normandy with Commander Shepard, and though this ship seemed much more advanced, and bigger, it brought back memories.
"I train hard," Orinia replied, "That's pretty impressive," She added, not sounding in the slightest bit impressed. She didn't seem to give a shiz about her acting like she was better, which was probably not to give Tela the satisfaction of annoying her. "Did you ever consider that you are old? Well, according to some races, that is."
She shook Veetor's hand,"Nice to meet you, Veetor," She said, acting only partially interested as she glanced around the room.

"Thank you." Veetor said, he seemed embarrassed by the fact a human, and a male at that would think of him as someone to flirt with. He nodded and said "Yes sir, I mean yes captain sir, I mean, yes commander Jack sir." he shut up to avoid calling him the wrong name again. He was glad he wasn't leader, he would probably be the worst commander ever.
"No"Tela replied bluntly, she had never taken the time to look at classic human films. She shrugged slightly and said "Well something that is really old to you I could have seen as a teenager, you know?" she added "But that movie was made 62 years before I was born."
She nodded and said "Good, you have to train hard in the Hierarchy, I remember what my dad taught me about training." she shook her headwhen she seemed unimpressed and said "Oh come on, your a Turian, I think it is genetically programmed into you to cow down to you superiors. It is in your nature, so don't act like you aren't impressed." she looked slightly offended and said "I am quite young by Asari standards, I am only 115 years old, so I'm barely into the first stage of life, I have another 175 years before I want to settle down."
Veetor felt awkward shaking the hand of such a pretty Turian, or at least he assumed she was pretty, he wasn't that good at telling what was attractive in other species. He then stammered "Nice meet too you, nice to you meet." he shut up before he made a complete fool of himself.

Jack nodded to Veetor. He was the type who would flirt with pretty much anyone, as long as they didn't mind to much, or as long as they weren't like, way younger then him. Or way older, depending on what race it was. He chuckled slightly at what Veetor said, then said,"Alright, just call me whatever makes you feel comfortable."
"Well, it was a good movie. Bit old-school, but good," Jack said, smiling. "What age is a teenager for you? Like, what age would you be considered between a kid and an adult. You don't look much older then a 'teenager'." He nodded, and opened his mouth the say something, then seemed to realize it could sound kind of rude, and shut his mouth again.
Jack wandered off to go see who was the pilot of the ship. Based on the name, he wondered if it was Joker.
Orinia shrugged,"I trained hard so that when I run across trouble, I could kick it's ass, not because of the Hierarchy," She said, she looked at Tela and raised an 'eyebrow', still looking unimpressed,"Well, I don't bow to anyone, and I'm not impressed, so clearly you don't know Turians as well as you think you do," She didn't really seem to care about Tela looking slightly offended, but said nothing else on the subject.
Orinia looked at Veetor with what could be interpreted as a smile, if you knew how to tell Turian facial expressions,"You know, that stammering's kind of cute. But you should really try to be more confident, or some may see it as weakness and take advantage of it."

Veetor nodded and said "Thank you commander Jack, I think I will use that until I'm used to calling you Jack as part of your name."
Tela shrugged and said "I might check it out sometime." she thought and said "I guess by human standards I would be a young adult, like late teens early twentys. That said I ment teens by your standard, like a century ago teens." she then thought and asked "What were you going to say?"
Joker was sitting in the cockpit looking over the new controls. He was stood over by a Cerbaus 'centurian' who glared at the non humans behind him. He looked at Jack and said "Commander."
Tela rolled her eyes and said "Yeah yeah I'm sure, you Turians are too patriotic for that." she rolled her eyes at her and said "Well you are a freak of nature than. I know what my father taught me about your species, and technically I'm half Turian. It is actually quite a horrible society of yours."
Veetor read a heads up display telling him about how the Turnian was smiling. He smiled back, not that it mattered, and said "Th thanks." he nodded slightly and said "I'mmm an engineer, I'm not used to talking to people, or girls. I don't think I can stand up to people."

"Whatever makes you happy," Jake said, smiling. He preferred to just be called 'Jack', but he didn't really mind that much.
"It may be to old-school for you, if you like newer movies," Jack said, shrugging,"You must have seen a lot of technological advances in your lifetime." He nodded,"I know what you meant." He shook his head,"Nothing important. I don't even really remember anymore...I hate it when I forget things that fast."
"Hey Joker. Long time no see," Jack said, smiling,"How are things in the cockpit?" He sighed slightly, thinking about the missions he'd done with Shepard and the old team.
Orinia crossed her arms,"I'm not like most Turians. It's not impossible for me to be different, you know," She looked at Tela steadily, acting almost perfectly calm,"Maybe I am, so what? Your father can't possibly know everything about every Turian. That's like saying every human is like Commander Shepard was. I've never been part of any real Turian society."
Orinia didn't see that Veetor was smiling, but she could hear it in his voice. She shrugged,"You could if you tried," She replied,"It just takes the courage to do it."

Veetor smiled back, though it looked as if he was just starting blankly at him. He appreciated that the commander wasn't as strict as he thought he might be.
Tela nodded and said "I like newer movies, like did you see the 830 year old virgin, that was really funny." she smirked and said "Geez you make me feel like an old woman. I remember back when humans didn't exist, well t least you didn't have access to Mass Relays. Actually I remember my mom and dad fighting about weather you should have been wiped out." she shrugged and said "Ok then Mr. Forgetful."
Joker looked up and said "I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up about having a familiar commander, but I have my baby back, and it has leather seats." before he could say anything else the 'Centurian' cut him off saying "The commander asked you a question helmsman, tell him how the ship is working." Joker rolled his eyes and made robot motions as if the guy acted like a robot and said "The ship is fully operational, we are preparing to disengage from the dock."
Tela shook her head and said "I noticed how different you were." she shrugged and shook her head saying "I mean I know about Turnian culture, and it does not fit you at all." she then said "Yeah I noticed." with a slight snear, she considered not being part of ones own culture weird. She then waved and said "You and the Quarian can continue, I'm going to go find my quarters." She then walked toward the elevator.
Veetor smiled and said "I am a coward, I have never stood up for myself. I don't have much courage." he then started rubbing his hands together, he was really nervous talking to this girl and said "Man it gets hot in these suits."

Jack nodded to Veetor, then went on to look around the room, since he couldn't think of anything else to say.
"You probably wouldn't like it then," He said to Tela,"I don't think so. I haven't had a ton of time for watching movies, with the Reaper threat and all." He smiled at her,"Well, you definitely don't look like an old woman," He said in a rather flirty way.
"At least I'm not just some random douchebag commander," Jack said jokingly. "Back and better, it seems. Not that the old Normandy wasn't good," He said, then looked really quite annoyed at the Centurian. He snapped his fingers and pointed at the Centurian,"You, shut it," He snapped, wondering how he would respond, then looked back at Joker,"Good. Um, I guess we just wait for a mission?"
Orinia smiled,"Good," she said in a kind of snappy way. "I don't consider that a bad thing, or a good thing. I just don't care either way." She nodded,"You act as if it's weird for me to be different, but humans have more then one culture, why can't Turians?" She shrugged,"Alright."
"You must be somewhat brave to be part of this," She said to Veetor,"And you never know, you might get braver as we go along. Get more used to people and stuff like that." She tilted her head slightly, and smiled, but said nothing.

"I doubt I would." Tela said simply, she smiled and said "You should see it sometime, it is a really funny movie about an Asari. I guess these Reapers take priority." she smiled at his words and said "Thank you, if it wasn't for that General I'm sure I could see more into that tone."
Joker laughed and said "Yeah yeah I know your glad shepard is gone." he nodded and said "Civilian comfort, and military hardware, it is the best ship in the galaxy. If any ship can take on the Reapers, it is this one. Let me tell you, better than any ship I could ever dream of." the Centurian wore a helmet but sounded pissed off and said "Hey, I am Kai Leng, I am second in command to the General, and in charge of the Cerbaus crew. You and I have about equal command on this ship, but you just control the Xenos." he waved his hand at the other three, as if they were trash. Joker nodded and said "Mr. Man will contact you when he has something."
"Well fine, you may not care I kinda do." she shrugged and said "Asari, Humans both have lots of different cultures because we either don't have a centralized government, or we recently got one. You have had your government for thousands of years basicly wiping out your other cultures." she then proceeded.
"I just really wanted to work on this ship, I love engineering." Veetor said in an embarrassed way. He smiled back at her and said "Th that would be nice, I probably need some, what do the humans say, backbone to me." he kept rubbing his gloved hands together.
