Alan nodded to what Layla said, but didn't say anything in response, because he felt that he didn't need to carry on their conversation forever. He glanced over at Scarlet and smiled saying "Well I will try to steer away from your thoughts when you think like that. That might be more comfortable for everyone, I mean save us all a lot of embarrassment." he was reading her thoughts naturally, and thought her enthusiasm was kinda funny, he had been on a lot of starships in his life though, coming from a rich family certainly had its perks. He said "I'm sure Ling wouldn't mind if you stood on the bridge and watched the stars through the front windows."
Ling nodded to Layla and said "Yeah I guess he might do that do too, that would also be very bad, I mean it would kinda suck to be somewhere like Whitefall, but it would be much worse to be strait up dead." she laughed and said "Fun, the idea of sweet little you smacking someone over the head with a wrench is very funny, I mean I would never think of you as the type to be violent." she nodded to the 'your welcome' comment. She nodded while talking "Yup, I mean not that I don't trust the passengers, but I don't feel that the passengers could keep the Magellan's spirit up, I mean she is a unique ship."
Alan nodded and said "Thanks Miya." he took a certain amount of pride in his cooking skill. He watched her stop fiddling with her chopsticks and walked over to the counter, and picked up the pan he used to cook the meat. He brought it over and put some more in her bowl, and said "You look so hungry." then sat back down and ate his own food saying "Sure you don't want some rice, it is nice and fresh." He nodded when she said she was going to go looking around, and continued to eat.
Ling glanced up and said "Thanks, I'm not sure this ship could fly without you onboard." she then pulled out the comm system and said "Ladies, gentlemen, and Jeffrey this is your pilot speaking. We will now be lifting off from the ground, and if the old girl holds together we will be arriving on our destination in around two days. Thank you for your time, our half companion Alan will be serving meals in around two hours." she turned on the engine and started to lift off from the ground.

Layla nodded in agreement. "For sure. Though I never could understand why a Captain would just throw one of their crew out the airlock" She said with a sigh. That just seemed sickening to her, to do that to your own crew. She smiled faintly. "I'm not really. But I can defend myself if I absolutely need to. And if I need to defend myself, I'm most likely going to be holding a wrench, a piece of metal, a screwdriver, or some other tool or engine part" She said with a chuckle. She lowered her voice and said, "I don't not trust them, but I don't really trust them either, because they just got on and I don't really know them. But I'm sure I will trust them more or less after we get to know them more" She said to her. "I get this feeling though that it will probably be only you and Jeffry trying to become Captain, and we know how much we don't want Jeffry commanding this ship" She said with a chuckle.
Miya just looked at him, her expression not really changing any. When he brought more food over, she did start to eat some more before leaving, because of how hungry she was. She nodded to him when he said she looked so hungry, pretty much saying "I am". She nodded in a "Yeah, I'm sure" way, and then said, "I will come back to finish it".
Layla smiled in an embarrassed way. It seemed like when she was complimented, she just got embarrassed. "Thanks" Was all she could think to say, with her embarrassed smile still showing. For some reason she snorted at her saying ladies, gentlemen, and Jeffrey. What was he? A male and female? She didn't say anything though. As a joke, she patted the ship. "I'm sure she will hold up fine" She said with a smile. For now, she just watched them take off into space.
Jeffrey gave the comm system a strange look, because he thought it was weird that he was referred by his name instead of like the rest of the people. He just shrugged and got back to cleaning his guns as the ship took off. He'd probably spend his time with his guns until it was time to eat, because he had nothing else in particular to do at the moment.
A little while after they took off, Miya had wandered into the cargo bay while exploring. She was still looking for her brother, to check to see what he was up to, and figured that he might be in here and that she could explore the cargo bay more while looking for him. Of course, to her disappointment, he wasn't in here from what she could see. So instead, she explored the cargo bay some more.
While she was passing what seemed like nothing to her, she heard some 'voices' coming from what seemed like thin air. The voices were Seth's thoughts that she heard as she walked by the compartment he was hiding in, but it cut her off guard and seemed to terrify her more then it should. She let out a scream and backed up into (assuming there's any at all) some of the cargo, staring at the direction she heard the voices come from. She slid down the side of the crate and put her hands over her ears, seeming to be trying to block out the voices. After a little bit, she started to whimper and cry.
Jeffrey heard the scream and didn't really care, and just got back to work with his guns. Layla on the other hand was too busy hanging out chatting with he Pilot to hear the scream.

"Well, I haven't ever had any awkward thoughts before, so I probably won't but steering away from those thoughts would be good if they ever come up," Scarlet said. Her eyes went wide and round at what he said. "Really?" She asked, as if it was suddenly a very serious matter. Though, if you read her mind, you would probably get the feeling she was resisting the urge to jump up and down.
When she heard what was said or the comms, she grinned widely again. She was clearly very exited to be about to take off.
She didn't hear the scream. Probably because she was completely distracted with the ship. (Seth) Seth listened to the comms, and chuckled in his head. He got the feeling that Jeffrey wasn't the nicest person. He was pretty sure he knew what the pilot was saying. That Jeffrey was not a lady, and not a gentleman, and just a man.
All of a sudden he heard a scream from outside the compartment he was in. He let out a little shout of surprise and clamped his hands over his mouth as he backed as far in to the compartment as he could go.

Alan nodded to what Scarlet said, saying in turn "Well uh I guess that is good for me, not that good for you. I mean sometimes awkward thoughts are great, other times, not so much." when she got all giddy in her mind he smirked at her and said "Yes I'm sure she wouldn't, especially if you wore something a little revealing." he chuckled slightly and said "I'm just kidding because she is always thinking about girls, or at least when I have been around her." he added "Feel free to hop up and down."
Ling shrugged and said "Space law I guess, it isn't that weird, I mean it has been around sense Earth That Was. I mean limited resources could do it." she nodded and kinda smirked "Yeah, as much as I don't want to see a cute girl like you attacked a have a weird feeling that we might run into danger. Anyway I'm sure you will be able to beat the crap out of anyone with like a fuel converter is or whatever you engineers call them." she nodded quickly to the next thing and said "Yeah yeah, that is what I ment. I mean we don't exactly know them yet, I mean for all we know they are slavers but I don't really see that."she nodded and said "Yeah, that guy is a bit power hungry, I mean I don't trust him not to shoot me for the captain's spot."
She nodded to Layla's embarrassment and said "Don't take too much pride, this ship wouldn't be able to get off the ground without me either, so don't stroke your ego too much." she seemed more teasing than egotistical, wanting for her to be more comfortable. When she patted the ship she kinda smirked and said "She is a good girl." and pat the control console. She stuck her tongue out of the side of her mouth as she piloted the ship out of the atmosphere, and after they were in space she slowly retracted her tongue into her mouth and said "Are you sure that all three of our engines are at %100? It felt kinda wobbly on the way up."
None of my characters heard Miya's scream.

"You won't throw any of us out the airlock, will you?" Layla asked in a joking concerned way, looking fake scared that she would get thrown out the airlock if she didn't keep this ship going or something. She smiled in an embarrassed way again. "I swear everyone on this ship is calling me cute today" She commented rather shyly for her. "Or a compressor coil, depending whatever is nearby" She joked. She nodded again. "Or fugitives of the Alliance, which might bring a lot of bad luck down on our ship. But I seriously doubt we have any Alliance fugitives on this ship. I'm going with just normal citizens. Though that one girl...what was her name? Miya? She acted a little troubled, and her brother seemed rather protective of her. Poor thing probably went through a bad experience, or is just one of those people with a sickness or disease. I did see them get uncomfortable when they saw an Alliance person, but any sane person would. I mean, I would" She then looked kinda shy. "Sorry, I kinda rambled" She said quietly. She nodded in agreement, then shook her head and sighed at how Jeffrey could act.
Layla smiled at what Ling said. She liked Ling a lot more then the Captain, and she was currently probably her favorite person on the ship, that she knew 'well'. "Oh, I know that all too well. But you definitely have to admit that if it wasn't for me telling you want parts were breaking and whatnot, we would be screwed" She joked. "Yep. When she's not failing mechanically that is" She joked. She relaxed after they got into space, because the ride was smoother. "I triple checked them. They seem to be running at 100%. Though at some point I think we will need a new compressor coil. It seems to be showing age" She said to Ling, shrugging. "Well, I better get going" She said, and then left for now.
Jeffrey for some reason thought better of just ignoring the scream, and hit the comm system in his bunk. "Guys, I heard a scream come from the direction of the cargo bay. You might want to check it out" He said over the whole ship, then turned it off and just went back to checking his guns. Clearly he didn't care to make sure everything was okay himself, and decided just to inform the crew.
As soon as the comm system came on, she looked up at the ceiling and let out a gasp and another whimper, then coward away even more, pulling her legs close to her body and just crying into herself. By now Seth could probably tell she was messed up in some way or the other, just by how she was acting. The bad thing for him however, is that Jeffrey just likely brought the whole ships attention to the cargo bay, right where he was.
Layla stopped practically the instant she got out of the cockpit, then looked at the pilot quickly and started to run to the cargo bay to make sure everything was under control, and some of the passengers weren't like attacking each other or something. Or someone might of tripped and hurt themselves, and couldn't move. There was a fair amount of ways that you could get hurt on a ship like this, so you could never know what might happen on here. When she got there, she heard crying, but didn't see where it was coming from just yet.

"I'm fine with never havin' any awkward thoughts," Scarlet said cheerfully. She kind of blinked at what he said, then said,"Even if you were serious, I ain't got anything relieving. Not that I would wear it anyway," Though she surprisingly didn't seem embarrassed or anything. She smiled widely and said,"I think I'll pass. I don't need to look like a overexcited idiot on my first hour on the ship," Jokingly.
When she heard what Jeffrey said over the comms, she put her hands over her mouth. She didn't go to investigate though, because she wasn't very brave, and just stood there kind of trying to decide if she should go look or not.
(Seth) Seth crawled closer to the entrance of the compartment, trying to get a better look at the girl who had suddenly just screamed for no apparent reason. When Jeffrey spoke over the comms, he quickly scurried backwards, deeper in to the compartment, and sat there on his hands and knees, breathing quietly and hoping not to be discovered.

Alan shrugged to Scarlet and said "Suit yourself, your mind. I would hate to have others constantly in my mind." he said the last part jokingly because that is pretty much what happened every minute of every day that he spent awake. He nodded and said "I ain't imagine you did, I just thought I would make a joke, not that Ling would mind if you did, but she ain't no perv, she would probably be a might more embarrassed than entertained." he seemed to adopt her way of talking (with ain't and stuff) involuntarily, and wasn't like messing with her or anything. He kinda just chuckled to the last thing "I don't imagine that would give a good impression, would it?"
Ling chuckled at Layla and shook her head slightly "I couldn't throw cute little you out the airlock, then who will brighten up my day on her occasional visits to the cockpit? I mean without you my day would get dull, so you are safe from the airlock, mind reader and asswad, not as much." she said the last part in a joking way, but did sound like she would miss Layla if she left. She smirked and suggestively said "Well Layla, you are such a cute girl, I don't think you should ever let a guy defile your beauty." though it wasn't like invasive and sounded more sweet than pick up line. She tilted her head and said "I could see the little girl being freaked out by like, you know" she then quietly said "Reavers. I hear they are attacking more and more now." she returned to a more normal volume "Those two aren't the ones I'm concerned about, we all get a little freaked by the Alliance of Dicks, but that Mind Reader. According to him his family is a magistrate, why would a magistrate flee their moon, I bet he got in with the law somehow. I don't quite trust him, I mean I hear the Xin family is a little paranoid, and he does not fit that. Also he is white, not Asian, and the Xins are the latter." she nodded and said "Yeah I kinda did too."
She shrugged and said "Maybe, well we would probably be screwed a little, I mean without a mechanic we would all be screwed. Even big ships need mechanics, so we should feel lucky we even get one." she shook her head "I don't make too much sense all the time." she nodded to the next thing and joking asked "When is she not breaking apart mechanically?" she sighed to the compressor coil thing and said "Hey maybe once this job is done, then we can get a new coil, but that might stop my favorite engineer from coming up to the bridge and keeping me company." she muttered something about it getting lonely on the bridge. She said "Well you could stay here and look at the" she turned to find Layla had already left "stars, with me." she sighed and turned forward again.
When Alexander heard the comms he got up and quickly walked to the kitchen and asked Alan "Where is Miya?" Alan glanced up at him and said "I thought she was with you, oh." they both realised what had happened and ran for the cargo bay, Alexander in the lead with Alan close behind.
Alexander found Miya almost immediately, and put his arms around her saying "Shhhh, its ok, its ok. I'm here, I won't let anything bad happen to you ok?" he hugged her tightly, assuming she was just having one of her moments. He pet her hair and gently rocked her back and forth "Shhhh now Shhhh, don't worry about a thing."
Alan looked at Alexander, but he knew exactly what Miya was freaking out about, because he heard the stowaway's thoughts as well. He walked over toward the thoughts and opened the compartment and squatted down. He looked at the guy and said "Hey, you ok? Come here, I'm a companion?I don't bite, I mean unless your into that I guess, but not in general. Come on out, and lets avoid any more crying people, ok?" he seemed quite soothing and kind, pretty much just putting off the vibe of 'you can trust this guy.'

Layla smiled in a slightly embarrassed way again. She listened to what she said, and laughed at the part about mind reader and asswad. "Yeah. Though I'm not that worried about mind reader. Asswad more so" She said with a grin. The good thing for Ling, is that Layla had no intentions of leaving anytime soon. If something came up in her life, maybe. But right now she had no intentions of leaving, because she saw no reason to leave. To what Ling said next, she just blushed and looked at the ground, not able to think of anything to say. She nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Reavers scare me. I still wonder where they came from. They showed up like 10 years ago and haven't left since" She said, shrugging. She nodded to everything she said next, and said, "I agree", but that was about it.
Layla nodded. "A lot of mechanics probably wouldn't take the job just because off the crime aspect of the job, but I don't mind" She said, smiling faintly. She laughed at what Ling said. "Not often it seems, but sometimes" She said, smiling. "Hey, if the compressor coil is fixed, I won't have to worry about being in the engine room so much, and I should be up here more" She said in a joking tone, but what she said was serious.
When Alexander showed up, she seemed a little more relieved, but still seemed unstable. She continued to wrap her arms around her legs tightly, even after her brother was now comforting her. To what he said, she just nodded, and just started to cry softly at the fact she over reacted like that, and just the bad memories. When Alan went over and opened the compartment, she gestured over there with her head. "The voices, they scared me" She said in a sad tone, and then plopped her head down on her knee's and again pulled her legs closer to her body after she had relaxed them a little.
After Alan and Alexander had arrived, Layla came down onto the lower part of the cargo bay, and watched from a distance Alan opening the compartment, and Alan hugging his sister Miya. Though, she didn't really know the names of any of them very well yet. The sister made her sad, because she clearly was messed up somehow. She couldn't figure out why. "Is everything alright?" She asked with a frown from a distance, giving everyone room.

Scarlet seemed kind of confused about the first thing Alan said. Mainly because she could think of two things it could mean. It could mean that he would hate to have someone else reading his mind, or he would hate to constantly have other people's thoughts in his mind. She tilted her head, thinking that the first part of what he said sounded a little weird with the ain't, but she still laughed slightly at what he said anyway. "I don't think she'd be nearly as embarrassed as me," She said with a big grin. She then nodded to the last thing he said,"I guess that might depend on what one's opinion on overly exited girls is."
(Seth) When Alan opened the compartment, he scrambled back a bit further in to the compartment, though he couldn't really go any further. His eyes flicked from Alan to behind him. It seemed clear that he didn't like the idea of being cornered. When Alan said he was a Companion like it meant something, he tilted his head and had a 'what?' look on his face. His eyes flicked from Alan to the cargo bay behind him again, then he made it pretty clear that he didn't want to be cornered. He threw himself at Alan, possibly taking him off guard and knocking him backward, then scrambled away from everyone else, his eyes flicking from one person to the other as he crouched, looking like he was ready to run or pounce if anyone showed any kind of aggression.

Alan watched Scarlet and said "I meant that I hate having other people's thoughts constantly effecting me, I mean I have to be totally alone just to think. I mean before my Xiándì (sister, though usually only used if the person is there.) coached me I was kinda mindless around people with strong wills, it sucked." he thought of his sister, which kinda became part of him in a way, he had her memories and he wasn't even sure how much of his personality was based on hers. He chuckled at what she actually said and said "Well, that would be a fluke then I guess." he shrugged to her last question "I was never an over hyper girl, even when I was little." he then realised something and said "Wait, that made no sense, I'm not a girl at all. Ha, the amount of my sister's mind that I got is truly astounding." he rubbed the back of his neck and blushed, embarrassed.
Ling scoffed and said "We are a legitimate salvage ship don't you know? I mean we are rescuing that cargo, like rescuing survivors off a broken ship." she seemed to think about something for about half a minute, regarding the coil and said "How bout I buy you one? I mean if I just happened to see a cute girl like you in her underpants then she might get a whole shipment of new parts, like a whole wishlist worth. What do you say?" she seemed equally flirty and desperate, it had been too long (in her opinion) sense she saw a girl that way, and she didn't want to like waste money on a strip club or something akin to that.
Alexander just nodded and said "Its ok, I'm here Miya, I won't let anything bad happen to you." he rubbed her shoulder and held her somewhat tightly. He glanced at the compartment and said "I'm sure it was very scary, don't worry though, no one will hurt you." he continued to rub his sister's shoulder.
Alan looked over at Layla and said "Its fine, I just need to-" he stopped mid sentence and dogged Seth's charge moments before he even came close to him. He stoop up and watched him saying "We are in space, where are you going to go?" then shook his head slightly and said "I know about Jiangyin, about the camp, your sister. I understand what it is like when it comes to family. I understand that you need money to help her." he took out a huge wad of bills from his pocket and removed about 1,500 bucks in bills then walked forward and set it on the ground between them, then walked backwards "There, that is enough for fare, and a thousand for you and your sister, ok? Just please, give her as much love as you can muster, don't ever let her try to save you." the second part seemed more directed at himself than anyone and sounded downright guilty.

Layla nodded her head quickly, and said, "Yeah, I know. Just sayin'". She smiled again. "Besides, we don't just take cargo, clearly. We do take people too. Though of course they will depart quickly at one of our drop off sites. It sucks to see 'em go sometimes, because you do feel like you became somewhat of friends with them. But that's just the way of life" She said, seeming to have mixed feelings right now. For a little bit she didn't seem to take the Captain seriously, and let out a laugh. Until she realized she did seem to actually be serious, and her laugh faded. "You are serious, aren't you?" She asked, sighing. Even though she got embarrassed with being called cute and stuff, surprisingly things like this didn't bother her as much as you'd expect. Maybe it just had to do with the fact she found nobody cute herself, so for whatever reason something like this wasn't terrible to her. "Okay, I will do it. But not here, okay?" She asked her, seeming surprisingly calm.
Despite her current state, it looked like a vague smile may of crossed her face at what her brother said. She let him hold her, and just cried into his shoulder. "Good man. Scared me, but good man" She commented to her brother, probably confusing him until he realized there was a guy in the compartment. She seemed to be loosing up some now, and was no longer holding her legs so tightly against herself.
Until the man in the compartment jumped out. She whimpered again, tightening up and pulling her legs to herself, her eyes looking glassier then they already were. It's not that she was really afraid of him, it was just her current mental state. But once Alan started to talk to him in a calm way, talking about family and Seth's sister, which she had vaguely heard with her own psychic abilities during her freak out moment, she seemed to relax more again. "Family is important. To both of you" She said simply, and she wiped her own eyes with her sleeve to get rid of the tears. Slowly, she started to relax, and her legs relaxed again, falling into a position to be straight out in front of her, instead of all pressed against her body.
Layla looked from Miya to Seth, not sure what to do. Miya seemed mentally and emotionally unstable or something, and Seth seemed to have some issues too. Though he seemed stable, just scared. She figured they both had a big story to tell, and she honestly was partly interested in their stories, because they both seemed to have 'secrets'. The girl seemed to be muttering gibberish that didn't really make sense, and Seth apparently needed money for something, according to the mind reader. She just shrugged, and watched from a safe distance, just in case something did happen.

Scarlet listened to what Alan said. She didn't seem to mind him reading her mind, at least not then, and just kept smiling all the while. Her smile faded a bit and she said,"That seemed like it could suck," Referring to him having been mindless around people with strong wills. She nodded to what he said, then tilted her head when he said he was never a very hyper girl. "How did you get some of your sister in you?" She asked,"It seems like it would just go away whenever she's not near you. But, what do I know about mind reading."
(Seth) Seth was kind of surprised when the guy he charged at got out of the way before he even got near him, but it didn't really affect him after that. At Alan's question, he said,"Somewhere." When Alan started talking about Jiangyin and his sister, he narrowed his eyes."How do you know that?" He asked, sounding kind of suspicious. He looked at the wad of bills and his expression became even more confused. He twitched when Alan walked forward, but when he walked backward again, Seth slowly took the money, then backed up again. "She's the one who needs saving," He said, his posture changing from looking like he was either about to attack or run to looking like he was still ready if anyone attacked him, but he was definitely more relaxed, and straightened up. "Thanks," He said in a kind of spacey voice as he put the money in his pocket.

Alan shrugged slightly, thinking it was nice this girl didn't mind him reading her thoughts, not that he could really help it if she wanted him to stop. He nodded slightly "It did suck, especially sense my family members seemed really strong willed, it wasn't bad with my sister though, she was nice." he let out a sad sigh at the 'was' part. To her next question he shrugged slightly and said "Uh I have no clue, I guess because we spend just so much time together. I mean we would eat together, sleep together, play together. All with me reading her mind, so I guess my brain like made a copy or something." he chuckled slightly at her and said "It is so rare, I hardly understand it myself usually, so don't worry."
Ling nodded again and said "Yeah exactly see, two semi legitimate businesses in one ship, that makes one whole legitimate business right?" the last part was jokingly, not really thinking that. She sighed slightly and said "Yup I know, I'm glad some stick though, like that Mind Reader, he just wanted a quick jump over to the spaceport then decided he wanted to travel with us. Maybe some of the others will think the same way. I mean it isn't as if this is a junker." she tapped one of the side panels and it fell off and she picked it up asking "Uh you can fix this tight?" she smirked at her thinking it was a joke, until she realised it was serious, then she blushed brightly and said "Sorry, I just get a little lonely, I hardly ever get off this ship you know?" she looked very happy when she said she would do it and said "R-really? Your not just pulling my leg are you?" she put one leg over the other and said "Well I would like to do it here, but if you don't want to, then wherever you want." she gave her a quick affectionate smile and added "Give me your list of parts as well and I will get my savings together and use my own money when necessary. I mean if you want of course, I don't want to make you feel like a stripper or something."
Alexander continued to comfort his sister however possible, and just smiled to her saying family was important. He kinda mentally laughed at the fact everyone on this ship seemed to have a sister.
Alan watched Seth and said "I am just a humble mind reader, I'm sure from your society you would call me a witch or something. I am also a companion in the most literal sense of the word, I am more of a person who will comfort and groom another rather than like a prostitute style companion." he felt like he kinda blathered a little about himself, but hoped that might help Seth trust him. He nodded and said "Yeah, look I'm sure we will be near your world soon, so you may check on her then." he nodded to his thanks and said "Don't mention it, I mean really, please don't, my parents get cross with me when I give money away." he then said "Why don't you introduce yourself? I'm Alan."though it sounded like he changed what he was about to say half way through A, luckily him and his sis both had their names start in A.

"Yep. We are the best spaceship business in the whole 'Verse. Nothing in the 'Verse can stop us and our crew!" Layla exclaimed in a fake over confident way, and then she lost it into laughter. She shrugged to what the pilot said next. "Who knows. We can't always take in passengers as official crew. But we don't take passengers that much anyway. I mean, the more people we get, if they make themselves useful, the more we need to split our cut multiple ways. Not that I care that much. But we can only take in so many people, and our line of work is dangerous. I don't want to risk too many lives" She said, sighing and shrugging again. She couldn't help but laugh when the pilot said it wasn't a junker, then a panel fell off like it was nothing. "Shi a Pilot" She said, smiling at her. She nodded her in a reassuring way. "It's fine. I get lonely too. I'm sure we all do" She said to her. "No ma'am. Fully serious" She said, smiling in response. It was probably surprising to see your Mechanic so...fine with this. Maybe not fine, but not caring that much. "Well, the bridge isn't very private. That's the main thing" She commented. It almost seemed like she was okay with this FOR the parts, but she seemed rather calm about it anyway. "Already got a list" She said, smiling and pulling out a list and handing it to her. "It's fine" Was all she said.
Miya smiled faintly when her brother comforted her some more, but she put her hands up and said, "I'm fine" to him, indicating to her brother that she was now feeling better. She pushed herself up onto her feet, and rubbed her eyes, and then looked over to Seth and smiled faintly, only to try to help him calm down some. "Miya" She said to Seth, not even indicating that she was referring to herself. Though, it was probably pretty obvious. She then turned back to her brother and said, "Hungry", then walked away and back towards the kitchen to finish the second round of food she had abandoned earlier.

"I am sure they would, but 'my' society is full of selfish idiots," Seth replied. He tilted his head,"Companion?" He asked. He only thought it was weird because he was talking about it like it was a job, otherwise he would have just thought he was talking about like, a friend. "What is a companion?" He smiled slightly,"That would be nice," He said, in response to Alan saying they might be near his world soon. He was kind of thinking that Alan's parents seemed greedy, but he just nodded. "I'm Seth," He said, his gaze traveling around the cargo bay. He nodded to Miya, then watched as she left before turning his gaze back to Alan.
