Eavesdown Docks, Persephone The Caption of the Magellan stood in a bar, with two off duty alliance officers. They were going at it, punches were thrown with full force, and things started to get out of hand. One of the officers pulled out a combat knife and jammed it into the captain's gut. The captain gasped, and fell to the ground, bleeding out on the floor of the bar, and because the alliance is full of assholes they just left him to die.
(Ling) Ling tapped her fingers over the controls, she looked over her shoulder and leaned back closing her eyes and thinking of naughty things, then she heard the newest crewmen's voice "God Ling, please I can hear your thoughts, don't think of those things." she looked over at Alan and blushed saying "Sorry, I didn't realise anyone was around, I uh, when did you get there." he put his head in his hand and said "You know if you are thinking you hate me for screwing up with your 'alone time' I can hear you?" she sighed and said "Yeah yeah, go greet the new passengers." he walked away and said "I just got on this ship, you want me to greet people? Seriously I met you like yesterday, I haven't even met the mechanic yet." she pressed a comm button and said "Layla, would you meet our reader down in the cargo bay?"
(Alexander) Alexander hand his arm around his sister and watched the other passenger that had booked passage, he didn't really trust anyone around Miya. He looked at the Firefly and said "Miya, are you ok? You need anything?" then glanced at the people from the crew who came to greet them.
(Alan) Alan grumbled to himself about Ling and her thoughts, why did he have to hear that? He looked at the new people who paid to be on the ship, one guy, his sister, and a mysterious guy. He looked at the brother, concern, fear for his safety, wanted by the Alliance. However when he looked at the sister he flinched, and took a step backwards, what he saw in her mind was terrifying, the Alliance, some chair, pain, so much pain. He shook his head to try and shake her thoughts, he was too busy with that to Read the last person.

Layla was well, doing what you'd expect the Engineer to be doing. She was maintaining the engine and doing check-ups on it, making sure it was working at top-notch quality. Which was making her quite dirty, but she didn't even seem to care. If anything, she was more covered in engine grease and so on then your typical male, and whined about it less then most males (me included). Though, as she was getting done with her current job, she picked up a clean rag and wiped her forehead, but it was more for sweat purposes then all the grease that she was currently covered in. And of course, she wasn't wearing quite as nice clothes as she tended to do sometimes, because that wouldn't exactly be a good idea to ruin her nice clothes. So, she was in your stereotypical mechanic clothes.
When she was told to meet the 'Reader' in the Cargo Bay, she quickly dropped everything she was doing and headed for the Cargo Bay. It didn't take her long to get there, and she smiled brightly at the new arrivals, and excitedly greeted them with a "Hi!". Her thoughts were nothing very exciting, and had a lot of mechanical babble mixed in with wondering how nice these passengers will be, or if they will be a pain. She liked to get to know people, but also liked for them to be, well, nice while they were at it, and not just asses. Though, she sort of thought Jeffrey could be an ass sometimes.
{Jeffrey} At the mention of coming out to the Cargo Bay to Layla, he decided he might as well stop fiddling with his guns and come greet the new people himself. So he came out of his 'bunk' that everyone seemed to have here, and headed towards the Cargo Bay. He had his pistol on him, just in case something went wrong, but it was hidden from view of anyone so nobody would be uncomfortable. Not that they shouldn't expect people on this ship to have guns, but yeah.
He walked up to them and gave them all a hesitant wave. Then, he just stood there with his arms crossed, thinking about various things. Like, he wasn't sure if these guys were trusting, even if they seemed to try to look and act all 'innocent'. He knew that people liked to fool others by acting all innocent, even if they weren't. But he didn't vocally voice this concern, even if Miya seemed to give him some look as if she knew that he didn't trust them. He didn't notice the look though, and probably wouldn't of thought anything of it even if he did notice. He'd likely just think she didn't trust him by his appearance alone, which he could honestly understand.
{Miya} Miya wasn't exactly too trusting of people either, especially strangers. Any of them could know, or could find out that they are now wanted Fugitives, and could turn them in at any moment for some profit, or just because they thought they were truly bad people. They were honestly good people, just messed with and forced into a crappy situation by the Alliance. Because the Alliance liked to use people, and her brother had saved her from that hellhole. She was extremely thankful for that, even if she never really vocally told him how much she was thankful for it. But she knew all too well that her moods could be sometimes predictable, and that could be bad.
Miya looked sad as usual, seeming to rarely even smile right now. She was still recovering from what had happened, so it was logical why she wouldn't be all cheery and happy. Sure, people would be happy about being rescued. But there was still the physical and emotional pain to deal with after everything that happened, and she was still going through that phase. A phase that could last for many many months, if not years.
"As okay as I can be" Miya said quietly. "I'm good right now, honest" She said to her brother as she looked around at the people here. Like usual, she was listening to the thoughts of the people, even if she didn't entirely do it intentionally. This Jeffrey person she already didn't trust based on his thoughts, who seemed very on edge about everything and everyone. Not that she wasn't like that herself these days after everything, but something about him gave her a bad feeling. She kept that to herself, however, for the time being. This Alan guy however, when she went to his thoughts, all she got was a sudden wave of pain in her head like someone had smacked her across the head with a large piece of wood. She put her hands up onto her head, afraid that it was some sign of more terrible images coming back to her. But nothing happened, and the pain quickly went away. She noticed that he flinched and took a step backwards too, and she just titled her head and gave him a strange look, not sure what to think of him. To Layla, she just kept quiet and didn't say anything right now, because most of the time she was relatively quiet and didn't really say anything. A lot of times she would just be the quiet person in the background who listened, unless something someone said didn't seem right to her and she started to go on about various reasons of why what they said made no sense.

Alan looked at Layla and said "I'm sure they will all be perfectly nice." as if she had voiced what she was thinking out loud. He then smiled and added "It would take a lot to get your mind off that engine wouldn't it?" referring to how she was still thinking about the engine. He was thinking that she kinda looked cute with engine grease on her, but shook off the thought quickly, because he hardly met her. He hit his head when Miya tried to read him, he felt like he had been punched by some rather large man. After he recovered he looked over at the third man and narrowed his eyes, alliance, looking to collect on the brother and sister. He looked over at Jeffrey and said "Those two are trustworthy." pointing to Alexander and Miya, then pointed at the other man "He however, is looking to imprison us, and is alliance." he then turned back toward the ship and said "Do whatever you want with that man, just don't let him on." Miya now had the brief opportunity to read him, and if she did she would discover that he had been taken to a facility like hers., but his sister busted him out in transit, then was shot and killed by the officers as they made their escape.
(Alexander) Alexander smiled at his sister and said "Everything is going to be alright, we are safe now." he gave a wave to the engineer and said "Hi." back, though it was half hearted. He didn't trust Jeffrey, mostly because he didn't like mercs, or any hired muscle for that matter. He thought the Alan guy was weird responding to things that weren't said, but decided he wasn't really a threat. He liked this engineer, she just seemed friendly and non threatening. He didn't trust the other passenger, but when Alan said he was alliance his blood ran cold, and he moved between the man and his sister. He then pulled her into the ship, not feeling that it would be safe for her near that man.
(The man dude guy) The man looked at Jeff and said "I am a paying customer." and walked up the ramp, watching him.

Layla looked at Alan like he was crazy, but she pretty much knew that he was some form of psychic for a little while now. Though, the fact he kept speaking her thoughts out loud honestly irritated her, but she kept that to herself. But she did think that, which probably didn't make matters any better. "Yeah, it would" She said in response to the engine thing. She just glanced back and forth from Miya and Alan with their reactions to...nothing? They both acted like something hit them, or caused them pain, but there was nothing that seemed like it should be a problem. She just shrugged it off though. At the mention of Alliance, she looked rather pissed, but didn't make any moves herself. Mostly because she had nothing useful to attack with.
(Jeffrey) Jeffrey gave Alan a strange look at what he said, but just shrugged it off as them just having similar thoughts and he just assumed they were trustworthy. Apparently his brain was slower at figuring out what actually was going on here, and he said nothing on that particular subject. He still gave the siblings a questioning glance, but quickly snapped to the Alliance guy at what Alan said next. Without much of a second thought, he pulled out his pistol and fired it at the Alliance guy, hitting him just below the heart. "No Alliance will be traveling on this ship" He said more to himself then anything, and he walked away from the scene, disappearing back into some place in the ship.
(Miya) Miya listened to the conversation. She had this feeling that the Alan guy was a psychic like her, based on what he was saying without anybody else saying anything out loud. Of course, like a lot of times, she didn't actually say that out loud, and just kept quiet. She noticed Alan reacted strangely too, and that sort of gave her an even bigger impression that he was psychic too. At the word Alliance, her heart started racing faster. She was surprised that she didn't catch that in his thoughts. Likely problem was she was focusing on the others, not him. But it didn't take long for the man to die, which she didn't even really seem to flinch at. When she managed to hear a bit of Alan's thoughts, she said out loud to him, but quietly, "I'm sorry for your loss", and looked sad, but that was all she said. She then titled her head at her brother and had a little bit of a grin on her face, before saying "You sure about that?", referring to him saying they were safe now.

Alan frowned at Layla slightly and said "Sorry." to her thought of him annoying her with him saying her thoughts, though it probably didn't help that much. He nodded to what she said about the engine and jokingly said "Oh it is filthy to think of an engine that way." as if she had thought of doing something awful with the engine, but it was pretty apparent that it was just a joke, not actually what she was thinking. When Jeffrey shot the man he flinched as if he had been shot, and cried out "Ahhh, don't shoot him while I am reading his mind!" basically confirming what the others were thinking. He looked at Miya when she said she was sorry for his loss, and became rather choked up, managing to say "Th-Thank you." he covered the lower part of his mouth and looked like he was going to cry, he remembered his sister teaching him to be strong, he remembered her memories even, her birthdays, and remembered how happy she was to get a younger brother from both of their perspectives. He was thinking about making out with his sister, wondering why they had done that, he remembered the amazing feeling of kissing someone and reading their mind at the same time.
(Alexander) Alexander jumped slightly at the gunshot, but not too noticeably. He looked at his sister and quietly asked her "Who did he lose?" and kept his thoughts away from the question he asked, because the poor guy seemed to be able to read minds, and he didn't want to make him sadder than he already seemed. He looked down at his sister and said "Well at least they don't like the alliance, we should be safe from those chōuchù." (jerks) he then looked at the Pilot when she came up, and just listened to her.
(Ling) Ling walked down to the cargo bay and said "Captain is dead, according to the port control the idiot picked a fight with two armed alliance officers and was stabbed to death." she sighed a little and muttered "What an idiot." she walked to the doors and sealed them, and said "We have already taken on fresh food and fuel, we will be completing our passenger run before we go anywhere else, or decide on a new captain." she walked back toward the bridge and said "We will split the captain's stuff later." and proceeded to the bridge to pilot the ship.
Alan looked at Alexander and Miya, and asked "Would you like me to show you your room?" seeming to have recovered from his memories of his sister. Alexander looked at Miya and said "Only if you want to see where they are, otherwise I bet you are hungry."

Layla gave him a quick smile when he apologized, even if it was him apologizing by, well, reading her mind again after she was just thinking it was annoying. It really did suck sometimes having people that could so easily invade your mind like that. And now it seemed like there was two on this ship, based on what the girl said and how it upset Alan. Which she thought was strange and lucky in itself, to have 2 psychic's on the same ship at the same time, when they seemed so rare as it was. She just raised her eyebrow at what he said next, apparently not really thinking the joke was funny, and just strange instead. She raised her eyebrow even more when he said that he was reading his mind, which pretty much confirmed her theory. Though, she wondered why he assumed Jeffrey would know that, but said nothing.
Layla let out a gasp and put her hand to her mouth at what Ling said. "That's terrible!" She shouted with a sigh. Though, she did nod in agreement that he was an idiot for picking a fight with two armed alliance officers. He sort of brought it upon himself, as sad of a story as it was. She nodded to the rest, and said, "Okay" to acknowledge she heard it. She waved to the pilot, and since Alan seemed to have them covered, she said, "I'm going to go get back to work', then left.
(Jeffrey, before he left) Jeffrey ignored the majority of the discussion, but replied to some other parts. "It's not like I can know when you are r-wait what? You did what?" He asked in disbelief as if it wasn't plainly obvious that he could read minds. He just shook his head in disbelief. At him suddenly being choked up, he just raised an eyebrow and had left at that point, missing the pilot saying the Captain was dead.
(Miya) Miya frowned, feeling slightly bad for even openly saying that and making him upset. She kept hearing his thoughts, because she seemed to hear them without really trying. Though, she quickly blocked out the thoughts when there was the mention of making out with his sister, because she didn't really want to think of that. And she felt a little like she was intruding on personal stuff, so she left his thoughts. She looked over to her brother and whispered a quiet "His sister", and looked sadder just at the thought of how her brother would probably feel if he lost her now, since how hard he worked to save her and get her out of that hellhole. Her best friend was pretty much her brother, and she imagined her brother felt pretty much the same with her. She just nodded to the last thing her brother said, feeling no need to say anything vocal.
She frowned again at the pilot's story, but couldn't feel overly upset about it because she knew nothing about the pilot, and if he was actually nice or not, so she didn't overly care. She just looked at Alan when he spoke, then to her brother. "We can see these rooms first. I am quite lacking in proper amounts of nutrition and food in general, so eating afterwards would be quite good. Preferably something with more vitamins and other healthy ingredients compared to what I have had for the last 2 years" She said, her tummy practically growling in response. She hadn't really ate properly for the last 2 years. Or well, not much of anything different then practically the same type of meal over and over again, and it got old fast. And to her she felt like she needed other kinds of nutrients then what she got before. They didn't entirely feed her complete and utter crap though, because that wouldn't exactly be good for making the ultimate assassin.

Alan looked at the ground at what Layla thought and said "I'm sorry, I can't help but read you, I can't control it." he seemed ashamed of that fact, he felt that most people didn't like being read like that. He of course didn't like having to read the mind of anyone he was near, though he could focus on one person so he didn't have too many thoughts in his head. When she didn't think it was sorry and just strange he again said "Sorry." he looked at Jeffrey and said "I read minds, and I would appreciate if you at least thought about it before shooting someone, I feel what the other person feels when I'm reading them." he put his hand on his head.
(Ling) She raised an eyebrow at Layla saying 'that's terrible' and said "That man was a drunken asshole, did you even meet him?" she walked back toward the bridge and said "Give me a shout on the comm when you fire up our engine, I don't want to stay on this forsaken moon." then went out of earshot.
(Alexander) Alexander looked at his sister and quietly asked "Do you know how he lost his sister?" he still tried not to think about his questions, given how he didn't want to upset the other guy. He mainly wondered if it was something like he did, but where he lost his sister instead of saving her, or the opposite where his sister died saving him. Given that he was a mind reader it seemed more likely that he was the one who was saved.
(Alan) Alan looked at Miya and said "Well someone is smart, once we get through your rooms I will fix you up something nice, flavorful and vitamin filled." he then turned and said "If you would follow me." then showed them to the rooms with the sliding doors and said "You can stay with your brother, or because we have a crazy gunman onboard you can stay in the other room, across the hall." he looked at Alexander and said "If you need medical supplies the infirmary is right there." he then lead them to the meal place and said "We have three meals a day, I will give you a wave on your in room computer when we are having the meals." he pointed at where one of the shuttles were and said "If anyone gives you any trouble, or you need help with anything my shuttle is that way." he then turned on the stove and said "Now why don't I make you some food?"

"It's okay Alan. I won't blame you for what you can't help" Layla said kindly while smiling. There were things she couldn't help herself, like sometimes going on and on about random mechanical stuff that would probably make no sense to anybody around her except her. And if someone asked a mechanical question, before she knew it, she could be going on and on about stuff related to that, likely boring the heck out of the person. This time that he said sorry, she just quickly smiled at him.
"I did....I just figured that we should feel...ah, you know what, never mind" Layla said with a sigh. "You are right, he was a drunken asshole" She admitted. She didn't want to say that earlier, because she felt that might be insulting to his death. But since everyone else seemed to think the same pretty much, she just gave in. "Will do Cap-Pilot" She said, quickly correcting herself. With that, she went back to work on the engine.
(Douchenozzle) Jeffrey sighed. "So when I'm being shot at by 5 morons at the same time, I should just sit on my ass and wait to make sure you aren't reading their minds before I fire back? No thank you. Just keep out of the mind of enemies. It's that simple" He said in a douchbaggy way, fitting for his new nickname of Douchenozzle. That was all he said though. In his bunk, he started to polish and clean his guns, like he did quite regularly.
(Miya) Miya looked sad at the reasoning she died, and seemed to get closer to her brother in a protective way as if she was scared that she'd lose him. "She died in the process of busting him out of a place like where I was taken" She said quietly, just looking a mixture of sad and angry at the memories of that place alone. "We must keep people from having to go through what I went through as much as possible" She commented in a serious tone, but still seemed sad, angry, determined, and so on.
Miya smiled at what Alan said to her, and gave him a quick bow. "That would be appreciated, thank you" She said, and just the thought of something different made her even more hungry. You could only go through a basic meal of mostly rice for so long. The likely reason they did that was because it was cheap, and they didn't really care that much about her other then to turn her into the ultimate government weapon. Just the thought of eating more rice right now made her sick. "Please no rice with the meal" She practically begged, which would probably seem weird to Alan and Alexander. When he said to follow him, she did so, but let Alexander go first and she followed him closely. She looked at her brother at what Alan said, and asked, "What would you prefer?". She kind of figured her brother might like her to room with him, so he could keep a watch on her to make sure she was okay or didn't go crazy. Not that she really had gone crazy yet since he rescued her, so he wouldn't really know that happened. But at the same time, she didn't want to wake him up by waking up screaming in the middle of the night due to nightmares. As they looked at the Infirmary, a look of fear came across her face, and she seemed to try to walk as far away from it as possible. She followed him to the meal place, seeming to calm down quite drastically once they were away from the Infirmary. At the various things he said, she just nodded faintly. "Yes please" She said with a slight smile at what he said about food, and she sat down at the table and just looked around the room in silence.

Scarlet had managed to get on the ship at the last minute, and just stood quietly, happily admiring the ship with a big smile on her face. She was happy to be able to travel beyond Persephone, even if it had cost most of what little money she had to be able to go. She just wanted to get out of there, see other worlds, other moons. Even just the stares from a viewpoint other then on the ground in some camp.
As she just sat quietly, thinking about random stuff, she noticed that at least one of the people there seemed to have been able to read minds. It surprised and fascinated her. She didn't think people like that existed other then in stories. She knew she would have to be careful with her thoughts, though. She hoped he didn't catch her thinking anything to awkward."
(Seth) Seth had managed to sneak and hide in one of the secret compartments when the crew was distracted. He had heard about these compartments on old Firefly ships, and thought that it would be a perfect ship to stow away on. While the crew talked to the passengers, He laid back in the compartment and daydreamed.

Alan nodded to what Layla said, quietly saying "Thank you." again. After a minute he added "You are interesting, not boring, having a cute girl like you talk about mechanics is fascinating." he then looked at the ground and realised "You didn't say that outloud did you?" he looked at the jerkwad and said "Look he wasn't shooting at you, could you at least think me a heads up? I mean I understand if you are in immediate danger, but he wasn't going to shoot you." he hated his power sometimes, having people getting killed, even when he was just reading them a little was painful. He was sure if he had been fully reading him he would have like passed out or something. He looked at the quiet person and said "Things only get awkward if you think awkward things around me, just keep it to your room." he had kinda forgot about her, with all the commotion going on.
(Ling) Ling nodded to what Layla said "Indeed, I understand what you mean, but he wasn't exactly a nice guy. I remember he said he was just looking over the controls, he was totally trying to look down my shirt." she grumbled and added "Plus you didn't have to see his reaction when he learned that mind reader over there had some companion training." at her correcting herself she kinda smirked and said "I'm fine with being the captain."
(Alexander) Alexander nodded to his sister and said "I hope it was worth it." kinda feeling pessimistic about that, but he felt his family had more power and money than Alan's, though he swore that he had heard of his family somewhere. He nodded to the second thing she said "I'm sure we will find a way, don't worry about that, for now we just need to keep ourselves safe, so we can live to tell the people of the worlds about this." he put his arm around her for comfort.
(Back to the Alan) Alan quickly bowed back and said "Of course, it would be no trouble at all, my sister used to love to cook, and I'm like half her, so that's a plus." he gave her a weird look and said "Ok, it won't be too big then, but I won't include any rice." he was kinda confused by that, rice was one of their main ingredients, so she would have to eat it eventually, or starve. Alexander felt the rice thing was weird, but figured better than to ask, when she asked her question he said "With you of course, I have missed my baby sister." he called her his baby sister more to tease her, maybe give her a moment when things were like they were a few years ago. Alan looked at them and said "Well we could give the bigger room to the other guest if you want to stay together." when she said yes to the food he walked over and started preparing some of his own private food, real beef. He made enough for both of them, along with rice for himself, though he gave her a much larger helping of meat than himself. After he cooked it he put the bowl in front of her with the meat in front of her and a pair of chopsticks. He then sat and plucked rice from his own bowl, along with the occasional bite on meat.

Layla just smiled at Alan when he said thank you. Instead of being annoyed at him this time for reading her mind, she just blushed instead at him calling her cute, and that it was fascinating to hear her 'talk' about mechanical stuff. She chuckled slightly and said, "No, I didn't, but it's okay", and then just gave him a friendly smile in response.
She shook her head at what Ling said about the Captain. "That's great.....Any man should know that if they try that with me, they will know what it feels like to take a wrench to the face" She said in a cold tone of voice, but then quickly changed mood. She couldn't think of anything to say to what Ling said next, and just addressed the last part. "I think you'd be a good Captain, Ling. Maybe we should have a vote on who becomes Captain" She suggested.
Jeffrey let out a sigh. "What do you want me to shout? "Shooting man!" or something so you can know before I shoot him?" He asked, seeming annoyed by this whole thing. When he got back to his room, he started polishing his guns, making sure they seemed to be functioning properly (except obviously not shooting), and various other boring things related to his guns.
Miya kept quiet and said nothing to the first thing he said, which seemed typical of her to be quiet about things. She nodded in agreement to what her brother said, sadness clearly showing in her eyes, likely just at the fact they had to fight so hard to keep themselves safe. Despite what she was attempted to be turned into, to be a ruthless 'assassin' for the douchebags, she was still clearly afraid, afraid of the Alliance and anything else that might be a problem. But she would try to be strong, to make it through this. When he put his arm around her for comfort, she smiled faintly at her brother. She truly did love her brother dearly, and it made her as happy as she could be right now to know that her brother cared for her so dearly.
She just watched and listened when he spoke, not nodding or saying anything back in response. Just staring and listening. She nodded to what he said next, but that was it. Despite not liking rice that much right now, she would eventually not have a problem with it as much. Especially mixed with other stuff. Really, she probably wouldn't mind the rice all that much right now, with it being mixed with other stuff. And she'd much rather eat some rice then die of starvation. To what her brother said to her, she actually smiled at him in response, and it sounded like she might of even laughed a little. "And I missed my big brother" She responded to him, actually in a happy way. To what Alan said, she just shrugged, then said a simple "That would work". As he started to make some food, she sat down at the table and just waited. 'Thanks" She said to him once the meal was done, and then proceeded to pig down on the food quickly. Not like as fast as you see some people do, but relatively quickly. It was clear that she either wasn't fed well enough while at the Academy, this food was just extra delicious compared to what she was used to, or she had just not eaten in a while. Once she was done, she said, "That was good", to Alan, then just sat quietly while fiddling with her chopsticks.

Scarlet looked at Alan when he responded to what she thought. "Well, sometimes stuff just pops in to my mind. I can't really help that. Never had anything awkward before, though," She said in a happy way while maintaining a big smiled while she spoke. Since everyone else seemed kind of busy with their own stuff, she decided to go explore. She looked around the ship with a big grin on her face, thinking that this was awesome.
She didn't stray to far from everyone else, though, in case she wasn't allowed to go to some places, and in case they started talking about some things, like any rules or anything.
(Seth) After daydreaming for a bit, he hummed to himself, so quietly that even someone walking by the place he was at wouldn't hear him, and started doing air drums while laying on his back. He wondered how long it would be before he could sneak out and steal some food. He was quite thin, and kind of malnourished from not eating much normally, on his world, then coming on these ships and only eating what he could steal when people were asleep or something.

Alan nodded to Layla and said "Thank you for not being annoyed with me this time." he felt her blushing was cute, and wondered if she felt that he might be considered cute. He wouldn't probably understand her engineering things, but he could just read her mind to find out what she ment. He looked at Scarlet and said "Well just banish those types of thoughts, it isn't like I will be reading your mind every minute of every day, I have other people to read." he smiled slightly at both of the girl.
Ling nodded and said "Yeah I nearly pistol whipped him for doing that, but I would hate to get fired and thrown out on some stupid backwater moon. Though actually I would love to see you hit some guy upside the head with a wrench, it would be kinda funny if you ask me."she nodded to what she said about electing a new captain and said "I would be up for that, just the crew though I mean passengers don't know who we are after all. Also thank you, that is a very Nísī (nice) thing to say." she smiled at her and walked to the bridge.
When Miya said she missed her big brother Alexander gave her a big hug, holding her tightly for what seemed like a long time, it had been far too long sense they had just hugged. While she and Alan ate he decided to walk down and see what was with the infirmary, because he figured he should know where things were in case someone was hurt. He looked over the supplies and sighed, his hospital had so many supplies, but this ship would test his skills with how much he could treat with such few supplies. He sighed and looked at their meds that were expensive, and they were in very low supplies.
Alan watched Miya eat and said "Are you hungry or I'm I just as good as a cook as my sis." he looked sad for a second thinking about his big sister, and how much he missed her. When she said it was good he nodded and said "Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it." when she started fiddling with her chopsticks he quietly said "Manners at the dinner table if you would."

"No problem" Layla said with a smile. Strangely enough, despite the fact she was blushing, she didn't seem all that attracted to much of anyone. That didn't really mean she wouldn't start liking someone, she just didn't seem to have a physical attraction to people. Or didn't make it noticeable. Besides, she always heard how crew relationships complicated things. And she preferred to focus on the task of keeping this ship from exploding or something. She wasn't thinking about most of that right now though. All she seemed to be thinking about was making sure this ship was floating soon.
Layla laughed at her. "Or out the airlock. You never know with a Captain like him" She said, sighing. She smiled. "Don't worry, I'm sure on one of our great adventures you will have that opportunity to see me hit someone in the head with a wrench" She joked, grinning slightly. "You are welcome" She said with a smile. "and yeah. Passengers being Captain would be weird. And we don't know if we can trust them either" She added. Like the fact they had fugitives on board, but who knows how the crew will respond to finding out about the fugitives.
Miya smiled when her brother gave her a big hug, and she returned it. At this point, she was pretty much crying happy tears, happy just to be hugging her brother again and feeling relatively safe for the time being. And not worrying about waking up every morning to be questioned or have them dig into her brain like freaks. She couldn't think of anything to say, though.
"Both" Miya said simply, continuing to eat. She was usually pretty simple with her responses. Either that, or she seemed to talk in ways that made no sense to anyone except her. Or did weird things that made no sense to anyway. That is how she will be in the future, that is, since she hasn't really had much of an interaction with anyone for a long time. When he looked sad about his sister, she seemed to know what he was sad about and looked sad herself. She didn't say anything though. At him telling her to have manners at the dinner table, she stopped what she was doing and just shrugged, then went back to eating.
"Capt-Pilot, the ship is in as good condition as it will get, and is ready to fly" Layla commented as she came into the cockpit. "So whenever you are ready. we can head out now" She added. She then just smiled at Ling, waiting for her orders or response to what she said.
By the time Layla had got the ship ready, Miya was done with her food. "I'm going to look for my brother" She said to Alan, then left slowly to go find Simon somewhere on the ship, wherever he was. She wasn't in a real huge hurry to find him, which she never seemed to be in a big hurry to do much of anything. A lot of times she just wandered slowly, exploring while she looked for people or did whatever it was she was doing in these various places on the ship, or anywhere. Well, again, in the future that is what she will be doing.

"My mind wanders, I can't just 'banish' those kinds of thought. Well, once they pop in to my head I can...most of the time, so I guess that works," Scarlet said. She still had a big grin on her face while she said that, and seemed like a very happy person. She also seemed giddy with excitement. She was thinking about how cool it was going to be to see the stars, to be in space, even if it was just for a short time. She didn't know that it wasn't really going to be as short of a time as she thought, though. If she did know that, she would probably be happy about it, though.
(Seth) Seth continued with his air drums, and humming to himself. He was thinking about stars, his sister, and song lyrics. His mind was clearly kind of cluttered. After a bit he stopped humming and playing drums, and looked closely at the walls around him. He smiled as he picked out different designs on the walls. It took imagination to see them, but he had nothing better to do, so he stared at the wall, unfocusing his eyes to see even more.
