Shelia arrived with her family to King's Cross Station at around 10:30 AM, 30 minutes before she had to get on her train. They were between platforms 9 and 10, and just seemed confused about what to do, and where the hell platform 9 3/4 was. She looked around, trying to find some sign of a sign that said '9 3/4'. To all of them, that just generally seemed like a weird name for a platform, but they didn't question it for long, due to focusing more on trying to find it before they got late.
Shelia was just about ready to say something about them going to be late at this rate, due to not being able to even find where they were going, when she found an odd group of people piling up around near a pillar....which just seemed odd in itself the way they were piling up around there. She tapped her dad on the shoulder, and pointed at the group of people. "Maybe they know something" She said to her dad, smiling at him before walking off to the group of people, her parents just shrugging at each other and following her over.
These strange-looking and strangely dressed people seemed to know where platform 9 3/4 was, and they had told her and her parents how to get there. Which, they all looked at them like they were crazy, until they remembered it made logical sense since they were going to a, well, magical school. So, they had done exactly as told and went towards the pillar, and to their actual surprise, they ended up on platform and 3/4. They saw a train sitting there, that looked rather cool in their opinion, and sort of gave off a magical impression. It was very colorful, and Shelia's face clearly lit up in excitement at the idea that she was going onto this train.
After the rather long sad goodbyes, to which Shelia started to have doubts if she really wanted to depart from her parents for about 9 months of the year, she hopped onto the train, and again, turned back to wave goodbye to her parents and frown some more in response. They told her they'd stay on the platform until they could no longer see the train she was on, and would likely wave that long even though they could no longer see her or she couldn't see them either.
Eventually, she had found her way through the crowds of people to one of the mostly empty compartments. She liked this idea of compartments on the train over, say, boring rows of seats where everyone might be able to hear your private conversations with friends. Not that she had any friends here, yet, but she sure wanted to get to know people and make some friends while she was here. Going through 9 months of Hogwarts without making friends wasn't exactly the most appealing to her. And it seemed very unlikely.
She plopped down on the seats, and looked over to the boy sitting in the compartment, all alone, spacing out the window. First she had the thought to leave him to his spacing, but decided instead that making friends was a better idea, and it might be good for him to make friends as well, and get his mind off of whatever he was thinking about. Unless he was just daydreaming, which she found enjoyable herself.
"Hello" She said to him with a smile. "Names Shelia. How about you?" She asked, tilting her head slightly, before going back to having her head straight again quickly. She seemed to do that a lot while having conversations, for whatever reason. It was likely just a strange part of her personality, but at the same time it made her unique in her personality, and different then a lot of the people out there. Which was always cool, and a good thing to have a unique, quirky personality.
Nikolaj seemed to snap out of some sort of trance when he heard a girls voice interrupt his thoughts. He had no idea that a young girl had joined him in the empty compartment, until she had spoken up. Apparently he had completely got lost in his thoughts, and somehow she had snuck in without him noticing. From the looks of it, she'd be an interesting person to get to know, because she seemed to have an interesting personality from what he could tell already.
"Nikolaj. Nice to meet you, Shelia. Cool name" He said to her, and she smiled at him. She responded with a simple "Cool name" back, and a "Thanks" to the compliment on her name, and he pretty much did the same with thanking her for saying he had a cool name. He already felt that he could get along well with this girl.
Nikolaj had arrived here with his grandparents, obviously, and they had known where to go fairly quickly. There was enough knowledge of Hogwarts in the family that they knew where to go, and it helped that his father had told him where platform 9 3/4 was when he was younger, in case he had died and he was sent to Hogwarts. Which, to his surprise, he was now going there. The departure from his grandparents was hard, but he knew he'd have a lot of fun at Hogwarts as well. And if he would make friends with people like Shelia this quickly, it couldn't be that bad at all here. Now, he just hoped she'd end up being in the same house as him, because that'd make it much easier for him to talk to her and become more of actual friends with her.
For now, they had just fallen silent, because it was likely that by now someone else would of come and joined them in the compartment, and Shelia would likely direct her attention to them for now. To greet them, and to get to know them, that is. It's not like she was suddenly ignoring Nikolaj. She just liked to get to know people and greet them when they come in, and so on.

Moony hadn't done anything very exciting before getting on the train. Being pureblood, she knew the way to the train like the back of her hand. She said a quick goodbye to her mom, and headed off. Wizarding stuff was normal in her family, so there wasn't to much fuss about her going to Hogwarts.
She hopped on the train and headed down to a almost empty compartment. There was only two people in it. She put her suitcase on the top of the compartment and sat down. "Hi," She said in a dreamy, Luna-Lovegoodish voice. She then pulled a book out of her smaller bag, sat back, and started reading.
Drake had a little more fussing over him when he was getting ready to board the train. He knew how to get to the platform, from his dad telling him about it before his parents had gotten divorced. His father had always been telling him that one day he would go to Hogwarts, and that he must always do his best, only then could be become great and important. Back then he hadn't cared, but now he had an unsateable ambition that even he himself didn't like. After his mom fussed over him for a bit, he finally got on the train. He went and sat in an empty compartment.
Alan Wake, who I'm going to call Wake so I don't get confused by calling him Alan, sat in a empty teacher's compartment. It had candles all over, just like anywhere else he stayed would. His office at Hogwarts did, too. He had been a teacher here for a long time now, and most of the students knew of his phobia of the dark, even if some of the students talked about it behind his back. He sighed and looked out the window. He wondered if anyone interesting would arrive this year. Interesting students were arriving all the time here, and he liked to get to know them.

Shelia had just finished talking with Nikolaj when the next person showed up. She wondered how quickly this place was going to get overcrowded. Not that she minded people showing up for her to get to know, but she wasn't exactly all into being over crowded, and preferred a good conversation on a train with, say, 3 or 4 people at most. Not 10 people crammed into one compartment.
"Hello. Nice to meet you. My name's Shelia. How about yours?" Shelia asked the newcomer, and she reached out her hand to Moony to offer a handshake to her if she wanted to accept one. She tilted her head again, and she looked at Moony's book when she did so. At least, the cover of it. "Interesting book. What's it about?" She asked Moony, by now probably knowing her name. So far, Shelia thought Moony seemed like a cool person, just because she had this neat, dreamy voice, and she figured that she was likely someone who loved to daydream and read, based on how quickly she started to read when sitting down.
During all of this, Nikolaj had mostly gone back to spacing out the window. When Moony showed up, he acknowledged her hi with a nod and a smile, but that was it, because he decided to let the girls talk while he just started thinking about stuff. And spaced out the window, apparently. He seemed to be being rather quiet, like something was bothering him, but Shelia didn't pester him about it right now and just left him to his thoughts, and focused back on Mooney and the likely newcomer who was just arriving to join them and fill up their compartment even more.

Gillian had found the platform after a great deal of trouble, and running into a teacher, literally. Her parents had given her their best wishes from Tokyo, and Toronto via video call before she left, but that was nothing new, in her whole life she had seen her parents only a few dozen times, if she had to guess they were.gone around 98% of the time on business. Her butler had stood on the platform and waved her off after putting her bags on the train for her, she always thought the old man had acted more like a father to her than her own father, but that wasn't saying a hell of a lot. Once she was on she walked along looking through each carriage, awkwardly putting her hands in her pockets on the skirt she was wearing.
She finally found a carriage with a seat and quickly said "Hello." to the other people in the cart, in her posh British accent. She knew just from her accent that they would know she was rich, but wondered if they would judge her based on that. She then offered her hand and said "Gillian Grayson." offering her hand in turn to all three other people. After introducing herself she took some of the weird gold and silver coins out of her pocket and looked them over, looking over one of the gold ones carefully then sticking it back in her pocket.
She kept her near perfect posture but started daydreaming about yesterday when she had first seen the wizarding world, with her trusty butler of course, and how astounding it had been, she had lived in the non magical world her whole life, and she would have never guessed that this world existed. She had stocked up on wizard money for the trip as well, with her family's extreme wealth it wasn't had to pull the money together. Of course her parents.were wary of sending her to the school without knowing anything about it, and had payed tens of thousands of pounds for wizard private investigators (after the letter of course) to insure that Hogworts was both a real school and that it was safe for the heir to their family, something they called her instead of their daughter. Gillian was snapped out of her daydream by a hiss and gentle rocking motion from her only case she had with her. She gently opened the case and said "So sorry." and the snake within gently exited looking bewildered by the new place it was in. It slowly coiled around Gillian's neck and she laughed playfully at it.

"Moony Sparks," Moony replied, not looking up from her book. To some people that may seem rude, but Moony was Moony, and she didn't mean it in a rude way, she was just different then most people. "It's A History Of Hogwarts," She said in reply to the question about the book, still not looking up.
She only looked up when someone new came in. "Hello, I'm Moony Sparks," She said to the new person after they had introduced themself. She then looked at Nikolaj, "What is your name?" Shortly after Gillian's snake came out, a small sleek, long-furred black cat came into the compartment and hopped up on Moony's lap. "Hello, Maya," She said. It was probably a strangely normal pet for her.
No one else was doing anything noteworthy.

Shelia didn't find it rude that Mooney didn't look up from her book, because she knew how being engrossed with a book could be sometimes. Where it made you pretty much ignore everything around you, because you are so focused on it. Or you give a half-response because you are so engrossed in it. "You have a cool name" She said to her with a smile, and titled her head slightly as she continued, "I might need to read that" She said simply. She liked reading as well, but wasn't really obsessed with it like some people.
Both Nikolaj and Shelia weren't experts at telling what accents meant what, so from one word they weren't really able to pick out her accent. Or, even when she said her name, they both still couldn't pick it out. "Nice name" She said in response to Gillian, smiling at her and shaking her hand enthusiastically. Nikolaj just smiled, and shook her head less enthusiastically then Shelia, and said "Nikolaj" to Mooney, before going back to staring out the window.
Shelia seemed a little uncomfortable when she saw Gillian had a snake, and tensed up in response. She didn't complain or anything though, because she felt that would be rude and she didn't want to be rude to her and her pet snake. She just didn't really like snakes that much, and actually had a phobia of them, so she had a hard time pretending it was just a normal pet that someone would care to have. As if to calm herself down, she averted her eyes away from the snake and looked over to Moony's cat, and smiled at it. "Cute cat" She said over to Moony.
Nikolaj on the other hand seemed to pay more attention when the snake came out instead of looking out the window while being in a trance. "Hey, cool, you have a pet snake?" He said to Gillian, thinking that was neat. "I don't see people with pet snakes very often, because they tend to be scared of them too much to have them as pets" He said to her, and seeing Shelia, he could tell that she would be one of those people. "Like Shelia for example" He said to her, chuckling slightly at her nervous reaction. She ended up just shooting him a playful glare.
Now, as they talked and enjoyed themselves, the train began to move. So, hopefully they were all sitting down or someone might get a little surprise jolt of the train starting. Nikolaj went back to looking out the window when it started to move, watching the scenery go by, and Shelia seemed to be getting more excited and nervous when the train started to move to take her to a new, awesome place. She was excited to see it, but was a little nervous at the whole process of going to such a completely different place from what she was used to. As the train started moving, she ended up standing up and looking out the window as well, but to wave goodbye to her parents. A sad look came across her face. She knew she'd miss her parents dearly, and she felt a feeling of homesickness taking her over already, so once her parents were out of site, she just sat down silently and started to look a little spacy herself, a bunch of thoughts racing through her mind at once.

Gillian smiled at Moony and said "Weird name, cool but weird." she gently stroked the snake's back as Nikolaj said pet snakes were uncommon "Snakes are not well trusted animals, but once you get to know them they are fantastic companions. I have had this one for three years, his name is Edward, you know, after the the Monarch in World War Two." the snake hissed to her and she chuckled, fully understanding what the snake said "He likes you, and thinks you smell dirty, well all of you that is." she chuckled to herself and said to the snake (in Parseltongue) "Don't worry, they are just poor, they aren't that dirty." figuring anyone with magical skills could understand her.
When the train lurched she 'fell' back against the wall and her snake let out a hiss of displeasure at being between Gillian and the wall. She quickly sat back up and gave the snake a quick kiss on the forehead. She stood up and looked outside the window, planning to wave to her parents, but as she stood she remembered they didn't come to see her off, because they had business in other countries at the time. She sighed and sat down looking a little defeated, because she was homesick already, but she also knew going home wouldn't cure it, she mostly wanted to see her parents a little more often. She remembered how they had come back around 2 weeks ago and showered her with gifts, dresses, video games, art, new hunting equipment, a rare bird, and a fine assortment of other things. Of course they had spent most of the time sleeping, but she had gotten to see them around 6 strait hours, more than the rest of the year put together. She was brought out of her self pitying state by her snake gently rubbing its head on her chin, because it was a smart snake and knew when she was upset. She gently hugged the snake and sighed.

"Thanks," Moony said to both Gillian and Shelia. In response to what Shelia said about needing to read it, Moony looked at the cover of 'A Hogwarts a History', which was the proper name, unlike what the RPer had typed last time. "It was one of the books required for First Years to get, so you should have it," She said, going back to reading. She looked at Gillian when she started speaking Parseltongue. "You speak Parseltongue?" She asked.
She went back to reading as the train started, seeming completely oblivious to the world around her. She knew basically how long it would take to get there, so she knew when they should change in to their robes. That is, if she didn't get to distracted by books.

"Yeah. A lot of people are scared of snakes" Nokolaj said, sighing and not really understanding the fear of snakes people had. He sighed. "I never really had any pets until my pet out I got for Hogwarts" He said to her. "Well, Edward's a common name, so that wouldn't of been my first guess" He said simply. To what she said next, he looked confuses. "What? Dirty? I just showered..." He muttered, and then proceeding to start smelling himself. Shelia found this amusing, and chuckled over in her sitting position, to which he shook his head at her in response. Both of them just gave her a weird look when she started talking Parseltongue, especially Shelia. "Parsa-what?" Was what she said in response, seeming confused by what Mooney said. To the part earlier where Mooney said that she should have the book, because it was required, she had looked through her bag and confirmed that, yes, she did have it . There was so much for her to gather, that she had ended up forgetting some of the things that she had collected.
Nikolaj was staring out out the window some more, and Shelia was watching Gillian when she had fallen backwards against the wall when the train lurched forward, and had simply said "Are you okay?", but it was quickly clear that the question should of been more directed towards the snake then her, and she began to not really care if she got an answer or not.
Some time passed with Nikolaj being quiet and boring and staring out the window, and Shelia being fairly quiet and occasionally talking to Gillian, since Mooney seemed to be sucked into her book at the moment. Not much exciting happened though, and the conversation was relatively boring. But, with whatever they were doing at this point, they ended up getting interrupted by someone who opened up the compartment door.
"Anything from the the trolley dear's?" An old frail lady said into the compartment. In front of her she was pushing a rather large cart full of almost any Wizard treat's you could think of. None of them would be familiar to any of the Muggle Born's. They were all weird Wizard candy.
Shelia's eyes lit up instantly at the sight of all the sweet's. She loved sweet's, so this was exciting for her, so she quickly pushed herself up and retrieved some of the money of her parents that was exchanged over into Wizarding money. "Ohh, look at all this candy" She commented, acting like a little kid in a candy store. Sure, she was 11, and it kinda made sense. But the way she was acting you'd think she was like 6. 'Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Bean's? I need some of those" She commented, grabbing a box and handing over some money. Along with that, she had probably almost grabbed one of every single thing on the trolley, losing a surprisingly large chunk of money on the trolley, before she thanked the old lady and went and sat back down, shoving some of her stuff into her luggage since there was so much. Not being completely used to this world yet, she had a theory that the Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Bean's actually being every flavor was a load of bull, but she found the idea of having literally no idea what you would eat as a jellybean being neat.
"Anyone else?" The old frail lady asked, smiling at them kindly. Nikolaj barely heard her, due to staring at the mass amount of sweets Shelia got, but heard enough to shake his head. If Shelia wanted to share, she had practically bought enough for the entire freaking group. But, there was of course the others to still choose if they wanted some sweet's or not.

Gillian nodded to Nokolaj saying "Well serpents were always depicted as evil and backstabing in old mythological tales. So I'm sure some of the behavior comes from that." she smiled and said "Well my family is very well off, so I always had pets. What did you get? Owl, rat, maybe a toad?" she chuckled at her own last guess, because that would be a weird pet to her. She rolled her eyes and said "Surely you love your Queen and her family, god bless the British Monarchy. God save the Queen, and Rule Britainia." she was quite clearly a patriotic person, loving the isles with every fiber of her being. She chuckled at the poor (as in money) boy making sure he smelt nice and held out her hand "Smell, my family purchases the finest oils and bath products on the market today. This is lavender taken from the holy land itself. I could never expect people of.... lesser means to smell as nice as I do." she looked just as confused as Shelia and said "I can.speak to snakes if that is what you mean, I'm sure tons and tons of people here can do it though." she had no idea that only one blood line in the entire wizarding world had this trait in their family.
Gillian nodded and quickly said "Yes yes." to being alright, and seemed more concerned about her snake than the tiny hit on.the head she got.
Gillian watched Shelia grab tons of food and asked "Has no one ever taught you manners?" in a slightly elitest way, knowing she was better than the rift raft of the British lower classes. She took one small cream pie from the cart and gave the woman two silver coins, then gave her another 'for the effort' thinking she was nice to come around with a sweets trolly.

Moony didn't respond to most of what was going on, partly because she was busy reading, partly because she wasn't very talkative, and partly because she wasn't part of most of the conversations. She did respond to the stuff about speaking to snakes, though. "No. I only know of one bloodline that can speak Parseltongue," She said, tilting her head slightly.
"No, thanks," She said to the trolly lady. She watched as Shelia got a ton of candy, then went back to reading her book. To Gillian, she said,"Is it bad manners to get a lot of food. I always thought it was the rich that had big lush meals," without looking up from her book.
Drake's compartment had been invaded by a bunch of douche-bag 4th year Slytherins, so he decided to go find room somewhere else. He gathered up his stuff and headed to find another spot. He came across the one with Nikolaj, Moony, Shelia and Gillian. He opened the door slightly and asked,"Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full."

Nikolaj nodded to what Gillian said, pretty much agreeing with what she said about where some of the hate came from. "Then, it just gets transferred over the generations. Gotta love how these things pan out" He said, shaking his head. "I got an owl" He said, smiling and pulling up his owl cage. "Owls are so cool" He added, smiling at the owl. "Never really thought a rat or toad sounded very interesting. Cats cool, though, but I still prefer a owl" He said. To the next part, he just raised an eyebrow, and said nothing in response. "Cool" He said in a pretended interesting voice about the products her family buys. "I tend to find those products overwhelmingly powerful, so I never had much care about them" He said, and he was worried about offending her....until she pretty much offended him. "You rich aren't anymore important then us 'poor' folk" He said to her, narrowing his eyes. Apparently that was a touchy subject for him. To what she said next, he shrugged. "I dunno. All I know is I can't speak it" He said. To what Moony said, he realized that she seemed pretty smart and knew a lot, and from his quick research of the houses, expected her to go into Ravenclaw. He figured he'd just have to wait and see.
Shelia had managed to ignore the part related to the 'lesser people', but responded to what Gillian said next. "Yes, I have been taught about manners" She said to Gillian, making a confused look and tilting her head. She opened her jellybean box, and took one out. "Jellybean?" She asked Gillian, handing one to her. She then did the same with Nikolaj and Moony, to which Nikolaj shook his head no, because he wasn't in the mood for possibly eating vomit, or whatever other gross things they managed to put into those jellybean's. She shrugged, and ate one of her own. "Mmmm, peanut butter" She commented on it, smiling at the taste.
Both Nikolaj and Shelia shook their heads, but Shelia actually spoke, since she was the more social one of the group. "No, go ahead" She said with a smile, and took out another Jellybean. "Jellybean?" She offered to the newcomer, extending her hand out to him for him to take one of the jellybean's from her box. Apparently her way of being polite was to offer candy to people, because she enjoyed sharing candy with others because she loved sweet's herself so much, and she was all into trying all these new kind's of candies she had never seen before, like chocolate frogs that actually moved, and so on.

Gillian smiled at him saying he got an owl "I had one too, but mine ran off during a hunting trip of mine." she nodded to his reasoning that other animals weren't as cool "Indeed, indeed, I do like cats, toads are weird, and rats spread sickness." she nodded to him and said "Indeed, I know some of the rift raft doesn't like such smells, even though I find them quite pleasing, I guess it is all a matter of perspective right?" she looked really offended by what he said and responded "How dare you speak to me in such a way! I am a lord, and you will never address me in such a way again, is that understood." the British class system lead to a more historically subservient lower class, meaning that hearing her accent combine with a harsh tone and lordship would likely cause him to stand down, depending on how British (culturally) he was. She glanced over at Moony and asked "What family would that be anyway? Maybe I have some ancestor way up in my family tree who was a magical person and everyone just forgot."
Gillian waved off the girl's remark about how she knew manners, because in her eyes that was clearly a lie, and declined the jellybean. Though she did know the 'riff raft' of the British lower classes had far fewer social rules than her own upper class. She looked at Moony again, figuring that this girl only.spoke when she had something good to say, and quickly responded "Well yes, but we don't eat a bunch of sweets in the middle of the day, we have some biscuits with tea of course, but that is hardly sweets like she has."
Gillian shook her head to the newcomer and said "Please, sit." then watched him sit, and her snake gently slid down the length of.her arm and sniffed him. It let out a faintly pleased sounding hiss and Gillian said "He likes you, he thinks you smell slightly better than the others here." and the snake coiled itself around her neck again.

Moony continued to ignore most of the stuff, until she was spoken to. "The Dark Lord, or also known as 'You know who', spoke Parseltongue," She said,"His name was also Tom Riddle, I believe, before he became the Dark Lord." After that, she went back to reading.
Moony also declined the offer of a jellybean, and said absentmindedly,"I wonder if there'll be pudding when we get there...." She looked at Gillian,"I would think that just because you don't do something, it doesn't mean it's bad manners," She said, shrugging.
Drake kind of smiled at everyone and sat down, taking the Jellybean Shelia offered. "Thanks," He said, carefully eating it. It was a grass one, which tasted better then you would expect. He looked at the snake when it 'sniffed' him, and he smiled at it. He liked snakes, they were cute. "Uh....Good?" He said, in response to what Gillian said about him smelling better then the others. He wasn't quite sure how to reply to that.

Nikolaj frowned. "That sucks" He said related to her owl. That was pretty much all he said on the subject, though, because there wasn't really much else he could think to say. He looked offended again when she said "rift raft", but kept his mouth shut this time, except to respond to her question, which he just responded with a simple "Yeah". Even though he for the most part he wanted to drop the argument, he wasn't completely calm about the whole thing, and said one last thing. "I won't say that again if you don't talk crap about us being lesser people" He said to her bluntly. Apparently he wasn't very culturally British, or at least never learned to 'behave properly' by his parents.
Shelia shrugged when Gillian declined her jellybean, and just ate it instead. It tasted like strawberry, and she quietly said "Dull" to herself, because she wanted something weirder, not something typical in a jellybean. "Biscuits and tea is good too" She said thoughtfully, seeming more focused on looking through her candy then the conversation being talked about around her.
"You're welcome" Shelia said to Drake, smiling brightly. She then grabbed a chocolate frog, and started to eat it. "Get back here!" She shouted as the frog hopped out of her lap as soon as she unwrapped it. She started giggling. "This is so weird! I'm chasing chocolate around!" She said, laughing. She looked under one of the seats, then said "Gotcha!" while grabbing the frog tightly, getting back up and sitting down on the seat. Then, she started to eat it, completely missing the part about Drake smelling better then the others. Not that she would of cared that much anyway. She would of likely ignored it. Nikolaj seemed offended again, but didn't say anything.
